Chapter 1753: Chapter 1754: Secret

Noticing that the next auction item failed to capture Feng Yuan’s attention, Veronia couldn’t help but curiously ask Feng Yuan,

“Does that thing have sothing special? Could it be a treasure map?”

Because the thing was a painting made of tal plates, Veronia imdiately thought of a treasure map. However, would the appraisers collaborating with the Jin Sheng Auction House really overlook such an important possibility?

“It looks a bit like one, but I’m not quite sure. That thing is very unique.”

Feng Yuan thought for a mont and said. Although he suspected that the item was likely a treasure map, he was not entirely sure. The pattern ford from those tal plates was complete, and from the appearance, it seed to be whole. Even the internal energy pathways could operate normally, albeit with a slight stutter. However, not everyone had a Divine Sense as strong as Feng Yuan’s to detect that this slight disharmony originated from the primitive internal structure rather than being a defect caused by the passage of ti.

Even so, Feng Yuan couldn’t say for sure that the item was definitely a treasure map. It might be sothing completely different. He would need to research it carefully to find the answer.

The subsequent auction items didn’t show any significant deviation in value. After all, treasures hiding deeper secrets like the tal plates were still rare. Having one appear this ti was already quite impressive. Feng Yuan didn’t regret it, and after successfully bidding for the Sky Garden, he prepared to leave.

Even though there were still a few items left, most of them were customized equipnt provided by Entertainnt World Company. Feng Yuan wasn’t particularly interested in these things. However, Veronia pulled Feng Yuan to stay, leaving Feng Yuan puzzled about what she wanted to do, so he stayed in the box until the auction ended before leaving.

“So you didn’t make a bid in the end. Why did you have stay here? What were you looking for?”

Feng Yuan asked Veronia, puzzled. If it weren’t for her request, Feng Yuan would have left long ago. Staying at the auction with Veronia, she didn’t end up eyeing anything.

With a slight smile, Veronia said,

“I was just curious whether there might be so overlooked treasures among those items. After all, many components of those devices haven’t been processed very delicately.”

Rolling his eyes, Feng Yuan said speechlessly,

“Are you joking? If they haven’t figured out the exact nature and structure of those things, how could they use them in custom devices? Do you really think others are willing to buy an undeveloped defective product?”

Even if it’s just roughly polished, the nature of those raw materials would definitely have been figured out by Entertainnt World Company. It’s not because they’re worried about mistakenly wasting precious materials. It’s because a chanical device would never allow materials of unknown nature to be used as raw material. Otherwise, if those materials exhibit special behaviors in certain environnts, wouldn’t that be a disaster?

It’s important to know that these items are not ant for ordinary people, and the safety requirents are evidently much higher. Therefore, Feng Yuan didn’t believe there would be an opportunity to pick up overlooked treasures in those devices, and indeed, that was the case.

Just as Feng Yuan was retrieving the tal plates he bid on, he noticed high-ranking officials from Entertainnt World Company, whom he had t just the day before, were standing nearby. As he packed up the items, Feng Yuan curiously approached and asked,

“Are you waiting for soone here?”

“Sorry, we’re actually trying to ask if there’s anything special about the Eagle mural you bid on. We aren’t planning anything; we’re simply curious. If it’s not convenient, it’s alright.”

The person smiled at Feng Yuan as they spoke. They couldn’t risk saying anything too excessive since that item was sothing they had brought in for auction. It wouldn’t be right for them to do anything just because Feng Yuan seed to detect a possible treasure. However, they were genuinely curious about what mystery it might be hiding.

There was no way around it; all the items at this auction were carefully appraised by them and the experts at Jin Sheng Auction House. If there were any doubts about an item, they would involve more people to verify it, ensuring that the grand auction of the day would proceed without any mishaps. Unfortunately, even with these precautions, issues still managed to arise.

“Oh, you want to know the secret hidden in those tal plates? Actually, I’m also just guessing, but I think if it really is sothing like a treasure map, I would probably ask the Great Xia officials to help .”

Hearing what they said, Feng Yuan didn’t mind sharing. Their curiosity wasn’t surprising. After all, from the detailed descriptions of each auction item, Feng Yuan had realized that many items in this auction had undergone thorough identification. Despite this, there was still an oversight with the tal plates, naturally leaving the inford curious.

“A treasure map?!”

Several high-level officials stood there stunned. They initially thought the item might be hiding sothing special internally or that so hidden inscriptions were overlooked during the appraisal, but they never imagined there was a possibility of it being a treasure map. In that mont, they felt torn about whether to continue satisfying their curiosity.

There was no way around it; a treasure map likely corresponds to an undiscovered treasure. If such a thing were leaked, the consequences would be unthinkable. At least, putting themselves in Feng Yuan’s shoes, if they were him, they probably wouldn’t let others see the hidden truth about such an item.

After all, if soone else saw the treasure map, there was a chance they might go ahead and dig up the treasure in secret.

“Yeah, if you’re curious, you could try it in a spacious place and find out. Don’t worry, I’m not really concerned about anyone going sneaking off to dig up the treasure. I already said that if it is a treasure map, I’ll ask the Great Xia officials for assistance.”

Seeing their conflicted expressions, Feng Yuan chuckled as he said. He really wasn’t worried about others seeing the treasure map, for if it really was a treasure map, as long as he contacted Captain Yang and his team for assistance, who else would dare to steal a march on them and secretly pilfer the treasure?

Thinking about Feng Yuan’s relationship with Great Xia and the permissions granted to him by the two Divine Beasts by his side, the high-level officials finally sighed in relief. They couldn’t help it, as Feng Yuan truly had the confidence to say as much. After all, even secret excavations couldn’t escape the notice of the Ti Divine Beast Agunas. Naturally, there wouldn’t be any foolhardy individuals daring enough to attempt such a thing.

On top of that, the Great Xia officials could gather a team of excavators to head to the treasure location in the shortest ti, and if needed, temporarily seal off the area where the treasure lies would not be a problem. Given these conditions, it wasn’t exactly surprising that Feng Yuan would dare to publicly disclose the treasure map so openly.

“However, it’s still hard to say whether this thing is truly a treasure map, considering how well-hidden it is. Who knows, it might even be a secret edict.”

Feng Yuan laughed as he said. Although he thought it was most likely a treasure map, he wasn’t entirely sure. There remained other possibilities for the item—it was just that a treasure map seed the most probable.

“Now that you ntion it, we are really quite curious about what exactly it might be. Is it convenient for us to take a look?”

The other party was taken aback by Feng Yuan’s response and politely asked. They couldn’t help it. When confronting Feng Yuan, even they didn’t have much leverage. After all, he had a good relationship with Great Xia officials and had Divine Beasts following him—not soone easily coerced.

“There’s nothing inconvenient about it. I’m just as curious about what it might be.”

With a nod, Feng Yuan nonchalantly agreed. Following Feng Yuan’s request, the other party arranged for an unused banquet hall at the hotel to temporarily serve for checking out the tal plates.

This ti, Feng Yuan did not try to reassemble the tal plates into an eagle pattern. Observing the tal plates Feng Yuan placed on the ground, everyone was stunned. Feng Yuan had left enormous gaps between each tal plate, and by his arrangent, the entire pattern’s size had been enlarged by threefold.

The missing parts looked as if so portions of the drawing had been dug away. Yet, when Feng Yuan placed the last tal plate, everyone was astonished to see that the tal plates vaguely ford a complete pattern, but due to the sizable gaps, they couldn’t decipher exactly what it was.

“Is this thing missing parts?”

Veronia couldn’t help but ask Feng Yuan, who smiled and shook his head. Borrowing power from Xiao Ji, he injected it into the suspected location of the eyes. At that mont, beams of light erged from between the tal plates, linking together to complete the picture.
