Veronia mumbled softly, looking at Feng Yuan. This thing was a bit puzzling, and she hadn’t read about it in the Ganye Empire’s docunts. Surely Maomu Academy didn’t expect students to look up information on the spot?
"No wonder, but... this thing seems... a bit dangerous."
As the dot rotated, the pattern appeared as if it were staring at him. Feng Yuan sensed an elusive power attempting to envelop him. Was that thing... a trap?

"I rember that during class and when we went to Jin Sha City, the teachers warned us to approach unfamiliar chanisms cautiously, regardless of whether they are paths forward, and to treat them as traps until proven safe and reliable."
"Unless there is a compelling reason to attempt it."
Dou Yanlan nodded and added. In the wild ruins expeditions, unless like Feng Yuan who possesses overwhelming strength, the priority is generally on ensuring personal safety first and foremost. Qi Chen’s impulsive approach, just because he thought it might be the way forward, was wrong.

Due to the trial reason, Feng Yuan didn’t insist on Kong Qing and the others coming along. Hearing this, Feng Yuan smiled awkwardly. Kong Qing coming? Wouldn’t that be cheating?
As a Divine Beast of the Space, moreover, one governing these domain spaces, if there were indeed a Different Space, Kong Qing would discover it imdiately upon arrival.
Xiao Ji didn’t think much of it. After all, it was aware of Kong Qing’s situation and naturally did not worry about Kong Qing competing with it for Feng Yuan. What’s more, it had now accepted Feng Yuan seeking a second Beast Tar, and naturally wouldn’t pay much attention to Kong Qing.
The Fluffy Fire Wolfhound, however, thought of sothing and pounced on the wall, using its claws to scratch at the eye pattern, but that pattern remained unmoved, displaying a kind of firmness that did not match it at all.
Even though the wall outside the pattern lines was covered with scratches by the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound, the pattern itself did not change at all.
"This thing is indeed quite bizarre, but let’s not forget we are not alone here."
Feng Yuan smiled as he pointed behind him. The squad approaching from the back looked sowhat defensive upon seeing Feng Yuan and his team, uncertain of their intentions.
After learning about Feng Yuan and his group’s discovery, one mber happened to have a Spirit Beast related to space. After so discussion, they decided to investigate whether the pattern corresponded to a Different Space.
The result, however, was disappointing. After the inspection, it could be concluded that the unique pulling power had no connection with a Different Space, which ant it was highly likely a trap.
"Seems like it’s a trap, but this thing..."
Approaching the eye pattern again, Feng Yuan examined the bizarre pattern and shook his head. This thing surely wasn’t that simple, yet he too couldn’t figure out its purpose at the mont.
"Saying it’s a trap seems off. A normal trap would have imdiate harmful or other functional effects, which this doesn’t seem to possess."
One of the second-year seniors comnted. They indeed knew little about this, as it spanned regions. Pondering, everyone began looking at the third-year students, thinking if anyone among them might know more.
With a shrug, one of the third-year students said helplessly,
"Last ti we ca here, the Ancient Stone Palace didn’t have this. Back then, the main defense of the Ancient Stone Palace was those Rock Spirit Beasts. Now with the chanisms, we can’t figure out what changes the academy made."
It was evident that this Ancient Stone Palace was different from the one they visited before, and Feng Yuan wasn’t surprised by this. After all, if they reused the exact original version of the Ancient Stone Palace, third-year students might have knowledge of it. Given the academy’s limits on open regions, the Ancient Stone Palace was designed with a difficulty level that freshn couldn’t handle.

Raising his right hand into a fist, then opening it, Feng Yuan muttered to himself. He could feel that power affecting him, slowing his movents, yet it wasn’t strong enough to trap him.
Or rather, as long as they let out their Spirit Beasts, they could easily break free from this binding with their Beast’s power.
So what exactly was the purpose of this thing? Calling it a trap that couldn’t even hold freshn seed pointless.

Looking at those strange patterns, Feng Yuan had a vague idea. The power acting on him didn’t seem like Space Series energy but more like Earth Attribute energy.
Anyway, this thing didn’t significantly impact him, and thinking again, Feng Yuan decided not to forcefully break the power’s constraint, proceeding slowly under the heavy pressure of the power.
Initially, Qi Chen and the others didn’t quite understand why Feng Yuan’s movents seed cautious. However, as the surrounding pattern lines gradually emitted a faint yellow glow, they were taken aback.
"What kind of peculiar unlocking thod is this?"
Veronia floated over next to Feng Yuan, her voice filled with curiosity. Unlike Qi Chen and the others, Veronia could clearly perceive the unique layer of Earth Attribute energy enveloping Feng Yuan. This energy resonated with the lines on the wall. Was this thing truly unlocking the chanism or guiding towards a more dangerous trap?
Unable to figure it out, Veronia hovered silently to the side. If it had been soone else, she might have warned them, but with Feng Yuan, she knew he likely understood the situation.
Feng Yuan chose to proceed, unconcerned about any potential mishaps.
And rightly so, given his strength, even if sothing happened, it wouldn’t pose a threat to him.
