Now reading: Chapter 2017 - 2018: Choosing the Ultimate Move from Divine Beast Creator, a Eastern novel by Salted fish on a fishing rod.

Perhaps considering safety issues, the traps were set rather obviously, and none were deadly chanisms, at least not those they had encountered so far.

A passage lined with jagged rocks suddenly sprouted a large number of crystalline ice pillars. Xiao Ji, surrounded by a Netherworld Wind, shattered the ice pillars, instantly releasing a bone-chilling cold. The icy breath, however, was blown away by the Netherworld Wind before it could freeze the bubble.

But Xiao Ji’s Netherworld Wind was inherently a move with a cold attribute, and now disturbed by the chill, Xiao Ji’s control over the Netherworld Wind decreased significantly.

To prevent the increasingly uncontrollable Netherworld Wind from damaging the bubble, Xiao Ji had to temporarily dissipate it before releasing it again. However, as the number of ice pillars increased, the cold air rendered Xiao Ji unable to continue using the Netherworld Wind for protection.

Ah Mu promptly filled the defensive gap, wrapping the bubble in a netted vine ball. The fierce flas of the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound flowed between the vine ball and the bubble, preventing the cold air that could instantly freeze the vine ball from invading the bubble. Even so, everyone felt the temperature drop significantly.

"Tsk, should have gone to another area. It’s one mont hot, the next cold. It’s really uncomfortable."

Looking at the frozen vine ball, Feng Yuan muttered. Agunas, flipping through the data in his hand, occasionally flicked his tail and said:

"No other discoveries on the Crystal Field Awakening at the mont."

"Hmm, I guess only those with an inherent crystal domain can use awakening? Or, for now, this seems to be the easiest condition to find. But even if we wanted to test it, we have to wait until this business is over."

Feng Yuan glanced at Agunas and said. He also understood the impact of the Crystal Field Awakening on Spirit Beasts. Although it had only appeared once, it had demonstrated considerable power. The Crystal Field Awakening was clearly an ace-like tactic.

He knew Agunas wanted to evaluate how much impact it would have on Wild Spirit Beasts since their battles didn’t always have fair conditions and restraint.

But Feng Yuan didn’t want testing to interfere with this field training. Although the Hao Chun Bird didn’t expend much when using the Crystal Field Awakening, the opponent clearly couldn’t deploy it continuously.

The interval would considerably impact Qi Chen and their battle, as having the Domain Awakening as a card up their sleeve, especially with Ah Mu in a recovery phase from the Burst Form, was crucial.

Agunas flicked his tail at Feng Yuan and said:

"I understand. I always felt the Forest Domain Awakening seed more complicated."

Tamur circled around Feng Yuan and said:

"Indeed, it’s a power that can turn the tide of battle."

"Hmm, is it that exaggerated? If that’s the case, the Hao Chun Bird tribe might need more protection."

Startled, Feng Yuan rembered Tamur’s shaman identity and couldn’t help but say. If the Domain Awakening could greatly impact the battle, clearly, the value of the Hao Chun Bird wasn’t as simple as it seed. Soone might even be tempted to take risks.

Agunas frowned. Feng Yuan’s concerns were known to it too. However, the Hao Chun Bird, although a special Spirit Beast, was a kind more intimate with humans. Even it couldn’t go against their nature to prohibit them from approaching humans. Moreover, that wasn’t the correct way to protect Spirit Beasts.

Different Spirit Beasts have varied attitudes towards humans. So feel living with humans is their optimal survival environnt. Valuing Wild Spirit Beasts, Agunas naturally wouldn’t act for re personal ideals of protection.

"Can those people really protect them?"

Hesitatingly, Agunas said. Veronia, glancing at Agunas with a slight impatience, said:

"You can never be a hundred percent sure about anything. At least, I don’t think all humans would be against the Hao Chun Bird."

Speaking, Veronia glanced at the Hao Chun Bird ahead, saying:

"Perhaps, they don’t know defensive moves because they subconsciously hope for a ’big tree’ to rely on, even though their attack capabilities aren’t weak."

Though the Hao Chun Bird had comndable support and attack abilities, lacking defensive moves was a fatal flaw, which even lowered their overall evaluation by a grade.

It’s unavoidable. Without mastery over defensive moves, they could easily be killed in battle, even using attack as defense doesn’t fill that gap.

Yet, with this fatal flaw, the Hao Chun Bird’s support abilities still qualified it for cultivation by Beastmasters.

Agunas flicked its tail without refuting. It really had no better protective asures for the Hao Chun Bird. Perhaps, Estir would just need more vigilance.

Compared to Feng Yuan and others casually chatting behind, Qi Chen and the others weren’t as relaxed. The chilling cold affected them significantly, and the ice pillars were only the beginning; the more they advanced, the more icy traps there were.

While Ah Mu’s vine ball wasn’t easily broken, it didn’t an they were assured. The invasion of cold air combined with the accumulating ice could trap them in place.

The flas of the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound were no longer just to block the cold. The fire surrounding the bubble burned the water fiercely, creating a sea of fire between the vine ball and the bubble. Yet, even then, there was no sign that the vines were scorched.

The exterior ice only stopped spreading but still firmly froze the vine ball.

"Seems a bit tricky. Relying solely on the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound, it might not be enough to break through this chanism."

Looking at the thick ice outside the vine ball, Feng Yuan muttered. With the cold’s erosion, the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound had difficulty mitigating the freezing effect, but thanks to the Hao Chun Bird’s help, the outer ice didn’t further expand.

Yet, even so, everyone sensed that the chill was intensifying as they progressed.

Xiao Ji couldn’t play an effective role in this scenario. The Fluffy Fire Wolfhound’s flas could indeed restrain the cold to so extent. However, being underwater, its fierce flas were severely weakened despite being able to burn in water.

Veronia glanced at Feng Yuan, confused, and asked:

"Aren’t you helping them? They might not hold out for much longer."

Despite appearances, Veronia could clearly feel a massive energy gathering not far away, ready to burst any mont.

With their current team setup, facing that erupting chill wave might not end well for them.

Feng Yuan contemplated for a mont, then shook his head, saying:

"Not for now. I don’t think they’re as weak as you believe."

While that energy was formidable, it wasn’t comparable to the Legendary Level Spirit Beast they encountered before. Feng Yuan was quite eager to see their battle, and besides, Qi Chen and the others were not without a chance. Mythological Moves weren’t fixed. Perhaps, they could use a Mythological Move to turn the tide?

Dou Yanlan furrowed her brows. She and Qi Chen naturally sensed the terrifying power ahead, but she was reluctant to overly depend on Mythological Moves.

After all, unlike the Crystal Domain, Mythological Moves require Tamur’s blessing, with only one opportunity per grant. In her perspective, this belonged to uncontrollable external forces. If it were a real battle, there wouldn’t be so much hesitation.

However, this was rely a trial. Overreliance on non-self-owned, uncontrollable powers might not be beneficial. Yet, rembering Feng Yuan and Agunas’s conversation left her hesitating.

On the side, Qi Chen naturally understood Dou Yanlan’s thoughts. After all, the other party had privately ntioned it while Feng Yuan was unaware. However...

At this mont, Xiao Ji let out a call, looking towards the direction of the energy accumulation, flapping its wings. Powerful energy gathered, but it wasn’t a Mythological Move.

"What is Xiao Ji trying to do?"

Confused, Feng Yuan glanced at Xiao Ji, unable to discern its intention. Xiao Ji’s moves didn’t particularly target underwater chill waves; wind was ineffective, and death or ghost series moves were futile.

However, as a black mist surged forward with Xiao Ji’s wing flaps, Feng Yuan noticed the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound’s odd reaction and seed to understand sothing.
