After wandering around the exchange gathering with Big Cat, Feng Yuan left that place with Big Cat. Alas, this place is rely a spot where a group of people fond of outdoor adventures exchange Domain Crystals, and it holds no significance for Feng Yuan.
"Let’s check out the Data Domain. Who knows, we might gain sothing~ But then again, I’m not sure if we’ll encounter any new Data-based Spirit Beasts~"
Looking up at the azure do above, Feng Yuan chuckled softly. Agunas glanced at Feng Yuan and flicked its tail, too lazy to comnt, while Veronia had a thought and comnted:
"Co to think of it, we haven’t heard of them attempting to unfold the Data-based Domain in the Data Field either~"
"Isn’t that supposed to be ineffective?"
Agunas stared speechlessly at Veronia. Most of the ti, a Crystal Domain only temporarily creates a specific environnt that overlays the original one. Like expanding the Forest Domain in a forest, its power-enhancing effect isn’t significant. So, is expanding a Data-based Crystal Domain in the Data Field really useful?
"That’s really hard to say. Changing the distribution of Environntal Energy might be aningless, but the effect on altering the Ultimate Move’s form should exist. But... this seems like a very interesting research topic~"
Feng Yuan pondered while rubbing his chin, his eyes lighting up. Without the form change effect on an Ultimate Move, expanding a domain in a similar environnt would naturally be aningless. However, adding such form change, even in a similar environnt, expanding a Crystal Domain might still have special uses.
Just how it truly works, even Feng Yuan himself isn’t quite sure. After so thought, he gave up on trying for now. Currently, the only Data-based Crystal Domain he owns is Big Cat’s Virtual-Real Data Domain, yet that trait isn’t apparent in the Data Field, or it ans nothing here.
Big Cat isn’t a Data-based Spirit Beast either. Although it can master so Ultimate Moves related to the Data Domain, those moves are more akin to the Mystic Series rather than the Data Lineage.
If one truly wants to attempt, it seems only Cast Cubes could help. After all, the only known Data-based Spirit Beast that masters Data-based Ultimate Moves is Cast Cubes, even the Data Spirit Fox primarily uses Mystic Series as its main attack thods.
Of course, Feng Yuan knows the reason behind this phenonon, which is the imperfection of the Data Domain. Though it has evolved into a more robust domain surpassing Dream Realms and other areas, Feng Yuan understands it is mostly substituting the shadows of unborn worlds.
From the Mythical Era’s World of Mirrors to the modern-day seldom-used Shadow World, this world persistently attempts to perfect the other side of reality, but those attempts rarely succeed.
Until the ergence of the Data Domain, after segnting certain functions, this construct started to slowly take shape.
The Data Domain doesn’t directly project or bear the damage inflicted upon the real world; it rely overlays the external of the existing real world, providing an additional layer of protection.
In other words, the existence of the Data Domain rely drags potential attacks breaking through the Starry Sky to assault the real world into the Data Domain.
This also explains the reason behind Data Cities, relying solely on the Divine Beasts is entirely inadequate to guard this vast special space, not to ntion it isn’t solely the matter of Divine Beasts.
Returning to the ground, Feng Yuan traversed the bridge walkway to Lake Heart Island. Originally a small woodland, after reconstruction, the tree density has increased rather than decreased. Besides the pathways for foot traffic, the surrounding trees seem squeezed together by so invisible force, tightly packing the vicinity.
"This design really... doesn’t allow one to appreciate it entirely."
Sighing, Feng Yuan said helplessly. Due to the overly dense trees, walking along the path of Lake Heart Island gave Feng Yuan the feeling of treading through a deep and thick forest.
Unable to see the blue sky above, even though the path wasn’t planted with trees, perhaps because of the density, branches from either side reached out to claim the sky above the path entirely. Moreover, the excessive foliage completely obscured sunlight, thus the pathway’s lighting depended on artistic stone lamps beside the road.
"Tsk, this place... if the light color becos dimr, it might frighten many people. It’s odd how they made the place like this?"
Inspecting the eerie path, Feng Yuan wondered, not that the design failed, but the Data City entrance was supposedly built brighter, yet now it resembles a Netherworld entrance layout.
Agunas glanced around and comnted:
"It seems influenced by the Data Domain. These trees aren’t in a normal growth state. Perhaps the Data Domain entrance might be harmful?"
Looking ahead, Agunas contemplated, saying this matter involves significant ties with Cast Cubes, even needing such a living environnt for Cast Cubes to thrive.
However, in Agunas’s view, one can’t destroy the environnt wantonly because of the survival needs of a singular Spirit Beast group. Surely, such a setup in a city’s special area doesn’t matter.
After all, it doesn’t affect other wild Spirit Beasts, and whether it influences humans?
No need for concern, if there’s an impact, humans would handle it without needing intervention from Divine Beasts.
"A trick of the Data Domain? That indeed seems so."
Feng Yuan sensed his surroundings and found Agunas wasn’t talking nonsense. Since this relates to the Data Domain, it likely couldn’t be resolved.
At least for now, Feng Yuan doesn’t believe Maomu City possesses the capability to solve this small issue.
Fortunately, those bright yellow street lamps illuminated the deep forest path, making the gloomy atmosphere not too intense. If more people were around, it might even seem tranquil.
Amongst Feng Yuan’s daydreaming, he noticed small figures erging from the woods, Big Cat chirping and waving its wings at Cast Cubes, while Fluffy Fire Wolfhound curiously observed the never-before-seen peculiar Spirit Beast.
Here, Cast Cubes showed more variations than before, its ethereal form appearing as if not existing in this space, even the Sparks shot by Fluffy Fire Wolfhound directly passed through Cast Cubes’ shadow to the ground.
Perhaps sensing Fluffy Fire Wolfhound ant no malice, though Sparks were fired at them, the Cast Cubes didn’t scatter away. Instead, they curiously surrounded the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound.
Pressing down on Fluffy Fire Wolfhound’s head with one hand, Feng Yuan chided:
"You little rascal, don’t be so reckless next ti. What if people misunderstand? We’re not here to harm Cast Cubes."
Fluffy Fire Wolfhound wagged its tail, whimpering a few tis, its eyes fixated on the Cast Cubes. The curious little beings bounced around Fluffy Fire Wolfhound a few tis before rging into a massive crystal Big Dog that roared thunderously at Fluffy Fire Wolfhound.
Startled, Fluffy Fire Wolfhound jumped back, its fur bristling and Fire ready to unleash at any mont. anwhile, the crystal Big Dog morphed again into a giant clam.
Rapid currents surrounding the clam easily extinguished the fire spewed by Fluffy Fire Wolfhound, while Feng Yuan watched amusedly, pulling Xiao Ji aside to witness the bout between Fluffy Fire Wolfhound and Cast Cubes.
Although individually, Cast Cubes weren’t strong, Fluffy Fire Wolfhound was now facing a pack of Cast Cubes. Moreover, Cast Cubes’ combination abilities were special, with sufficient numbers, even advancing one or two power stages wasn’t impossible.
Feng Yuan deed victory for Fluffy Fire Wolfhound nearly impossible.
With a long howl, Fluffy Fire Wolfhound projected the Round Moon Forest Domain. Opposing side’s Cast Cubes simultaneously transford in appearance as starry crystal teors hurled towards Fluffy Fire Wolfhound. Feng Yuan exclaid in surprise:
"Cast Cubes’ combination variations can inherit species attributes?!"
Due to Round Moon Forest’s unique features, Feng Yuan easily discerned that the crystal Big Dog accompanied by a pack of phantom wolves was also judged as a canine or wolf-type Spirit Beast.
Yet, Cast Cubes itself should belong to non-animal special construct life forms, making it unlikely to benefit from Round Moon Forest’s enhancents. Hence, the only possibility was Cast Cubes’ combined form directly possessing canine features.
