The train’s ergency stop caught everyone off guard; even the attendants were initially unsure how to handle it. Fortunately, the onboard guards quickly stepped in to prevent passenger panic.
"What are you doing?"
Seeing Feng Yuan and others not returning to their seats, the guard sternly warned them; after all, during such tis, a firm stance is necessary to swiftly quell the chaos, or severe incidents may occur.
"Well, we were thinking of seeing if we could help with anything. Don’t worry, we know our limits."
Taking out his special credentials, Feng Yuan didn’t make any suspicious moves; he knew it was best not to break rules easily in such situations, or unforeseen incidents might occur.
Suspiciously taking Feng Yuan’s special credentials and inspecting them, the guard breathed a sigh of relief, respectfully returning them to Feng Yuan.
"Sorry, I thought you were those clueless troublemakers. Although I don’t know what’s happening, according to the warning, there seems to be an accident on the track ahead."
The guard made way while warning those who wanted to co forward and help. Feng Yuan had special credentials; at least he was sowhat reliable. Without certain contributions to Great Xia, one couldn’t obtain special credentials, and contributors are unlikely to act rashly.
Feng Yuan didn’t proceed through the carriage towards the train head. As per the guard’s suggestion, there was evidently an issue on the track ahead; getting off the train would suffice instead of moving ostentatiously through the carriages.
"Looks like there’s a surprise waiting for you before reaching Baiman City."
On the road, Veronia couldn’t help but tease Feng Yuan. Feng Yuan rolled his eyes, disinclined to respond. Though he also felt his luck might be poor, he absolutely didn’t believe the incident was related to him!
"Train tracks usually have special safeguards; why would this happen? Moreover, given the train’s speed, it might not react tily in ergencies, especially stopping right near the breakdown point..."
Dou Yanlan suspiciously remarked. She felt sothing was overly coincidental, yet Feng Yuan wasn’t sure, as such coincidences aren’t entirely impossible, but...
Deliberate act? For what? Targeting soone? High-speed trains during this period shouldn’t have important figures onboard, given how difficult tickets are to obtain.
Targeting ?
Feng Yuan doubted it; those who knew him were aware of his strength. Attacking him would be courting death.
The stalled train, having lost its energy supply, even had its lights turned off. Through the windows, faint glimrs from the Beast Tar’s lighting technique were barely visible within.
The passengers inside were sowhat surprised seeing Feng Yuan’s group, as they did not appear to be train staff. Nonetheless, considering each carriage had guards, nobody questioned them.
"Who are you!"
Approaching the train head, a guard noticed Feng Yuan’s group coming from behind and loudly questioned them. Feng Yuan showed his special credentials, saying,
"We’re here to help, this..."
"Such dense aura of ti!"
Before Feng Yuan finished speaking, Agunas exclaid in shock, floating forward. The guard, seeing this unfamiliar Spirit Beast, did not stop them; he also heard Agunas’ words. With Spirit Beasts capable of speech being rather unusual, this one directly pinpointed the forthcoming trouble.
"Aura of ti?"
Feng Yuan was stunned; he hadn’t expected sothing like this upfront. He had not fully sensed the surrounding environnt, thus unaware of what lay ahead. Deploying his Divine Sense now, he indeed detected a dense Power of Ti up front.
Fortunately, that Power of Ti was mixed and insubstantial, likely a naturally occurring phenonon...
That’s a joke!
Feng Yuan didn’t believe any accident could generate such dense Power of Ti. Even if it were natural, it wouldn’t be a re simple phenonon.
"Looks like trouble."
Veronia gently waved her hand; golden crystals rotated around her. Whatever lay ahead, preparing for battle seed prudent.
"Feng Yuan, this..."
Qi Chen looked at Feng Yuan worriedly; he hadn’t expected such misfortune, encountering this incident en route to Baiman City.
Yet they hadn’t realized this event wasn’t isolated, instead occurring simultaneously on a large scale in various regions.
Lorraine Tower flew from Mist Island; it couldn’t ignore this massive temporal shift. Yet what exactly transpired? Why had such severe temporal disturbances occurred suddenly?
"Good news is, this isn’t your fault."
The Divine Beast intelligence network’s ssage rendered Veronia stunned. Up front, Agunas had also stopped moving, wagging its tail uneasily. Such imnse disturbances were beyond what it and Lorraine Tower could handle.
More crucially, what on earth happened!
Holding back the main point, Veronia spoke before Feng Yuan did,
"Bad news is, for unknown reasons, a spatial-temporal disturbance affecting the whole world just occurred. Specific causes are unclear; Lorraine Tower is heading to the nearest temporal anomaly point for investigation. We’re likely also at one."
"Temporal anomaly point... How’s the current state of the Ti River?"
Looking at Agunas, Feng Yuan was helpless. Such vast-scale temporal disturbances, surely the Ti River couldn’t escape untouched.
"Strangely, the Ti River is normal, with only so minor changes in certain areas, possibly..."
"Let’s quickly head over and see."
Retrieving his special credentials, Feng Yuan couldn’t bother explaining to the guard and dashed forward; the guard stood dazed, unable to recall stopping Feng Yuan.
Rather than unintentional, it was deliberate allowing Feng Yuan to pass, for the guard clearly knew what lay ahead!
"This is..."
After a short run past the train head, the track suddenly broke off; its smooth cut seed as though cleaved by a sharp blade into perfect slices.
However, that wasn’t the truly astonishing aspect for Feng Yuan; what truly amazed him were those facing off against the train guards.
Those ancient garnts and outdated weapons brought a certain possibility to Feng Yuan’s mind.
"Differing tis overlapping, anchored by spatial points and divided by realm, presenting a scenario of interlocking temporal spaces. Or worse, because these, are part of history."
Agunas felt troubled eyeing this group; it could attempt to stop them. However, the problem erged: this group was historically integral. Acting against them might instigate historical alterations.
"To put it simply, this region divides by specific ranges. Our side is the present, theirs is a normal ancient era in the Ti River. If they change, corresponding historical impacts synchronize."
Seeing Qi Chen’s troubled expression, Feng Yuan explained, while Dou Yanlan with a grim face questioned Feng Yuan,
"So what do we do now?"
"Prevent them crossing the temporal boundaries, else problems arise. Currently, communication issues prevail."
Eyeing those soldiers, Feng Yuan felt troubled; typical Master Language abilities may not suit this occasion, while Mind Communication...
It’s possible, but differing habits complicate translations, risking misunderstanding due to cultural gaps.
"Could forcibly dissolving the temporal overlap work?"
Muttering as he retrieved his ebony Ancient Book, Feng Yuan considered; both sides’ tense stances left him no room for diplomacy.
With Agunas monitoring, incidents seed unlikely short-term.
Yet what’s the solution...
This sudden temporal overlap left Feng Yuan speechless; why suddenly such an event?
As confusion set in among the group, soldiers confronting each other began vanishing; likewise, the broken track transford. The vanished track, like a ghost, slowly materialized, resembling its original state.
"What’s happening?"
Scratching his head, Feng Yuan couldn’t grasp the situation. With Agunas realizing sothing, its expression changed, exclaiming,
"Not good! The overlap vanished suddenly; history might dramatically alter!"
