68: Chapter 68: A Powerful Enemy_1 68: Chapter 68: A Powerful Enemy_1 After a while, Xiao Shuang realized that she was unhard; as she turned her head, she saw that the White Wolf had sohow rushed to her side.

Seeing the massive wound on the White Wolf’s body, Xiao Shuang imdiately understood what had just transpired.

The White Wolf roared angrily and spewed pure white flas at the statue, which managed to withstand and swing its sword once again before shattering under the blazing inferno.

The White Wolf glared fiercely at the golden statue, and the tallic Statue, with an expressionless face, swung the Scepter again—suddenly, several statues wielding long swords materialized out of thin air around them.

“Awoo~~~”

The White Wolf howled at the sky, and Xiao Shuang watched worriedly as the blood-soaked White Wolf refrained from making a sound.

Then, the White Wolf suddenly unleashed even fiercer white flas than before, obliterating the statues in the sea of fire before they even had a chance to strike.

The tallic Statue waved the Scepter, and nurous erald gems enveloped in tal filigree appeared around them.

The White Wolf stomped its paw and was once again surrounded by a Rune Stone Barrier.

“Aow~~~woo~~~”

With an extended howl, the White Wolf charged toward the tallic Statue.

The Erald Gems sent streams of dark green light shooting towards the White Wolf and Xiao Shuang, which created ripples as they struck the Barrier.

Reaching the tallic Statue, the White Wolf fiercely clamped its jaws onto the statue’s hand that wielded the Scepter.

Before the statue could shake it off, the White Wolf shattered its arm and, with a swipe of its paw, sent the detached limb and Scepter flying.

Then the White Wolf launched another assault on the tallic Statue.

“Aow~~~”

After so ti, the White Wolf managed to completely destroy the tallic Statue.

Upon seeing that the Erald Gems kept firing beams at them, the White Wolf bit the Scepter in half.

As the Scepter broke, the surrounding Erald Gems instantly fell to the ground.

Just as Xiao Shuang and the White Wolf sighed in relief, the entire corridor suddenly began to shake violently.

Xiao Shuang noticed the edge of the plaza beginning to collapse; the White Wolf hurried over to Xiao Shuang’s side.

About to lower itself, the White Wolf hesitated upon seeing its fur stained red with blood.

“It’s okay, we need you right now~”

Xiao Shuang smiled and gently patted the White Wolf’s front paw, seeing that the shaking hadn’t stopped.

The White Wolf lay down, and Xiao Shuang quickly climbed onto its back.

Noticing the blood that had accidentally stained her hand, Xiao Shuang softly said,

“You’ve lost so much blood…

Are you alright?”

“Awoo~~”

Feeling that Xiao Shuang had secured herself, the White Wolf stood up and ran towards one of the corridors.

The entire plaza was collapsing, and after the White Wolf had covered a short distance along the corridor, it noticed the whole structure tumbling down and ran forward urgently.

“This seems like the entire corridor is collapsing together…”

Seeing a large part of the corridor ahead missing, Xiao Shuang said with concern.

The White Wolf, carrying Xiao Shuang, leaped over the gap.

As ti went by, more and more parts of the corridor began to collapse.

At that mont, Xiao Shuang was astonished to realize that the White Wolf didn’t actually need to run on the ground; it sprinted along the remaining corridor, treading on the air.

After a long while, with less and less of the corridor left, when Xiao Shuang felt sowhat desperate, the White Wolf seed to have spotted sothing.

“Aow~”

The White Wolf turned and rushed in a certain direction.

Shortly after, a green Gate of Light appeared before Xiao Shuang and the White Wolf.

Without any hesitation, the White Wolf, carrying Xiao Shuang, dashed through the Gate of Light.

Seeing another large plaza not far ahead, Xiao Shuang patted the White Wolf gently and said,

“Let’s rest here for a bit.”

“Aow…”

Whether it was from excessive blood loss or from the exertion of the battle followed by the frantic escape, Xiao Shuang could hear a hint of weakness in the White Wolf’s voice.

Sliding down from the White Wolf, she quickly searched through her bag, hoping against hope to find so healing dicine.

“Huff~”

The White Wolf exhaled gently, and a clear stream of water flowed past Xiao Shuang.

Noticing that Xiao Shuang didn’t move, the stream slowly approached her blood-soaked clothes.

Xiao Shuang looked up, spotted the water stream, then turned to look at the White Wolf and asked,

“Are you suggesting I wash my clothes?”

The White Wolf blinked.

Sowhat puzzled, Xiao Shuang dipped her hand into the water and saw that the bloody stains on the sleeve quickly vanished under the current.

She quickly placed items like her cellphone, which were vulnerable to water, into her bag and set it aside before stepping into the stream, letting it cleanse her.

Once the bloodstains on Xiao Shuang were gone, the stream gradually disappeared.

“Huff~”

The White Wolf exhaled again, and a fire similar to a bonfire appeared before Xiao Shuang.

As she basked in the warmth of the flas, she glanced over at the White Wolf to find it lying down with its eyes closed.

Wanting to approach but unsure of what to do, Xiao Shuang sat down in front of the fire, staring blankly at the distant corridor.

“What are you going to do now?”

“Let Fate’s Guidance show us the way forward~”

“Can you please stop kidding around…”

Watching Feng Yuan stand at the intersection of the corridor with hands joined in prayer, Qi Chen rubbed his temples helplessly.

Feng Yuan, reluctant to leave, pulled a decorative feather from his bracelet and tossed it forward while murmuring sothing.

Just as the white feather was about to touch the ground, it suddenly turned into a ball of light, hovering mid-air.

Feng Yuan walked beside Qi Chen, who was sowhat surprised, and extended her hand.

“Ah!

What are you doing!”

Qi Chen felt a sting in his arm and quickly turned around, glaring at Feng Yuan.

Feng Yuan, looking at the drop of blood floating at his fingertip, said,

“I’m borrowing a drop of your blood.”

Watching Feng Yuan flick the blood drop into the orb of light, Qi Chen looked on with anticipation as the orb began to slowly transform into a Light Bird.

With cautious hope, Qi Chen asked,

“Can it lead us to Xiao Shuang?”

“It should, unless there’s soone else related to you by blood in this space.”

“Then let’s hurry up!”

“Hey, hey, hey!”

Unable to wait, Qi Chen grabbed Feng Yuan’s hand and followed the Light Bird that was leading the way.

Feng Yuan, with a resigned pull, broke free from Qi Chen’s grip and ran forward.

Xiao Ji, from inside the hood, was almost flung out by Feng Yuan’s abrupt movents and quickly sunk to the bottom of the hood.

“Ah?”

Dreaming Dragon Baby hurried to catch up with the two running ahead, but after floating for a while, seemingly finding it tiring, it just lay on Feng Yuan’s head.

“Wait!

There’s a problem!”

Feng Yuan suddenly stopped Qi Chen, who was running ahead, and with Sickle in hand, he warily eyed the large erald gemstone wrapped in tallic decorations ahead, saying,

“Do you rember those chanical Spiders?”

“Wait…are you saying…”

Qi Chen looked at the huge object before him with an extrely ugly expression.

Feng Yuan patted Qi Chen on the shoulder and said,

“Don’t worry; as long as Fate’s Guidance still appears, it ans she’s okay for now.”

“For now?

Then let’s hurry over there!”

“Don’t rush…”

Seeing Qi Chen’s anxious face, Feng Yuan helplessly pushed him back and, holding the Sickle, confronted the tallic decoration, saying,

“Let’s see how strong you really are!”

Feng Yuan spread his black wings and flew into the air, brandishing the Sickle at the erald gemstone wrapped in tal, striking fiercely.

Sparks flew, but the gemstone only chipped slightly from Feng Yuan’s blow.

Seeing Dreaming Dragon Baby float over and spew fireballs at the gem, Feng Yuan shouted,

“Back off!

Xiao Ji, you too, get back!

Go to Qi Chen!”

“Ji!”

Xiao Ji hopped from the hood to Feng Yuan’s head and spat deep blue sparks at the gemstone, but the sparks had no effect.

Feng Yuan pushed Xiao Ji slightly and said,

“You stay by Qi Chen’s side.

You can’t help here.”

“Ji!”

“Tch!”

As the tallic decoration began to transform, Feng Yuan, burdened by Xiao Ji, furiously waved the Sickle at the tal, but it was much stronger than the chanical Spiders, so he could only chip away small tal fragnts.

Seeing the enemy morph into a humanoid giant statue, Feng Yuan stepped back, set Xiao Ji down, and said,

“Stay here nicely, and we’ll deal with whatever cos after I’ve taken care of this.”
