Their goal was to reach the stepping-off point before dark, the place closest to Nakajima and the small island.
That place was also the main headquarters for the full assault as ntioned by Gu Feng. Ling Zhenfei, sitting with Mao Sharlu, said, "By the way, don't we have a plane?"
Mao Sharlu, looking embarrassed, replied, "What plane? It's just a sightseeing plane for travel."
Ling Zhenfei did indeed see Mao Sharlu's plane crash on Nakajima and even saved the pilot.
Ling Zhenfei said, "Do we still have a plane for travel?"
Mao Sharlu said, "There is one plane left, but it doesn't have combat abilities and can't fly high."
Ling Zhenfei said, "As long as we have a plane, it's now a massive destructive weapon. Have it take off imdiately to scout the area ahead. We absolutely can't allow an ambush."
Mao Sharlu said, "There won't be an ambush. Nakajima is now blocked by Gu Feng's n."
Ling Zhenfei said, "You're too careless. We could have the Troy plan, so couldn't Song Mingyi have the Da Vinci plan? If soone ambushes us, we're dood."
Cold sweat broke out on Mao Sharlu's face, and he quickly made a call to have the plane take off imdiately and scout the enemy situation.
Although Ling Zhenfei asked for reconnaissance, who knows if it might be useful later? Even if it's just a sightseeing plane, it's still a plane.

Song Mingyi, however, laughed on the other end, sounding even more relaxed, almost more than Mao Sharlu.
"Boss Mao, so you're well. It's remarkable that it turned around this month; I wonder what benefit you offered Gu Feng."
Mao Sharlu laughed, saying, "It's not really about benefits; when you can promise the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Three Armies, what can't I promise?"
Mao Sharlu referred to Zhou Kui, a sure sore point for Song Mingyi.
Unexpectedly, Song Mingyi seed not at all upset and laughed, saying, "Looks like you and Gu Feng are planning to attack my island."
Mao Sharlu said, "Indeed, that's my plan. I intend to visit your island, perhaps stay permanently, turning your palace into my getaway."
Song Mingyi said, "Good, I wager you'll co but won't leave. I'll have a special room ready in my palace for you and Gu Feng to dwell forever."
Mao Sharlu laughed, "I didn't expect that even now you're so confident."
Song Mingyi said, "Of course, I'm confident. I've put much effort into fortifying the island, waiting for this day."
Mao Sharlu said, "So you enjoy the thrill of being challenged, huh? If so, I'll grant your wish."
Song Mingyi laughed heartily, "Then let's see who survives, and your arrogance ends here supposedly beyond my control."
"Let's watch and see who becos the prisoner when we et again."
"I agree."
After the call ended, Mao Sharlu's face wasn't well, saying to Ling Zhenfei, "Song Mingyi still seems relaxed; could he have an ace up his sleeve?"
Ling Zhenfei said, "I think he's just putting on a brave face. You've fought with him for years; if he had sothing, he'd have used it.
Furthermore, if he had an ace, why notify you? Haven't you noticed? He called not saying much, just to show he feels confident."
Mao Sharlu nodded, "Yes, I do feel that way."
"Besides, there are no other paths now. If you don't go all-in, this war might last for years."
Ling Zhenfei's explanation reassured Mao Sharlu.
"True. There's no retreat, having eliminated Zhou Kui, now allied with Gu Feng against Song Mingyi; it's the perfect mont."
The two continued chatting en route to their agreed destination.
They traveled until dawn, reaching the location, and Mao Sharlu issued orders to rest there and prepare for combat.
Though Mao Sharlu arrived, the main force hadn't yet, as they drove while many troops traveled in different ways, not as fast.
Consulting Gu Feng, he's still advancing; nocturnal marching isn't speedy.
