"Your villa was set on fire and your fish pond poisoned; you wouldn't just be idling around while the police crackdown on prostitution, right? Tell , have you gotten any clues?" Han Lian was extrely vigilant and imdiately sensed that there was more to this matter. If it wasn't closely related to Ling Zhenfei, he probably wouldn't have gotten involved.
"Even if I have clues, they are just clues for now. There's only one thing I need to do, which is to solidify the evidence, and while I'm at it, shut down this club."
"Ling Zhenfei, have you lost your mind from the shock? This is a mbers-only club. It's too dangerous for you to go in. No, I can't let you take this risk." Han Lian was well aware of the kind of people inside these clubs. If he got caught, it would an certain death, and even then, they might not find his body.
"You know, there's nothing you can do to stop from doing what I want, so don't try. I originally planned to shut this club down quietly, but after hearing your three strategies, I've decided to give you a gift. I plan to present this big gift to the police. If you dare to accept it, get ready. I believe you don't have much ti."
"Ling Zhenfei, you big fool, big dummy, why do you insist on doing sothing so dangerous?"
Han Lian stamped her foot in frustration at Ling Zhenfei, but no matter how much she cursed, she couldn't stop his decision.
"As soon as you find sothing amiss, call . I'll be out here tonight." After saying that, Han Lian hailed a taxi and headed in the direction of the police station.
Ling Zhenfei knew she had a lot to do, at the very least to convince Guo Qing'an. But Guo Qing'an might not agree, for behind the Imperial Palace private club, there surely laid vast networks of interests. If they captured any significant leaders during the raid, that would be troubleso.
Ling Zhenfei couldn't care less about that now. Tonight, Wei Damin's mbers-only club was going down. Since they dared to set fire to his villa and poison his fish pond, they were going to pay in blood.
Over two hours later, Zhuo Yue finally reached Ling Zhenfei's location.
"Where is it? Where's the private club?"
As soon as Zhuo Yue stopped the car, she started looking around but couldn't make out which place was hiding a private club.
"What's the rush? It's not ti yet. Naturally, you'll get in when it's ti for you to go."
Today, Han Lian was dressed in professional won's attire, a business suit and skirt which looked sowhat strange on her. However, it must be said that Zhuo Yue had a great figure, as she wore it with no sense of discordance, still looking beautiful—not surprising for a provincial TV station journalist.
"Spill it, what's your plan?"
"Of course, to find a way in, then capture whatever needs to be captured. You don't need to teach you that, right? You're the professional."
Zhuo Yue was very pleased with Ling Zhenfei's words, revealing a beautiful smile and said haughtily, "That's right, I am professional. But what I want to ask is, how do we get in? This is a mbers-only club, and only mbers can get in."
"It's just two mbership cards; that won't stump . Just make sure your equipnt is ready and doesn't fail."
The two found a café to chat over coffee until nightfell, and then Ling Zhenfei, taking Zhuo Yue who had changed into n's clothing, headed towards the back door of the shabby neighborhood.
The n's outfit from the clothing store was actually bought for Zhuo Yue. Dressing as a man was Zhuo Yue's specialty, and once she donned the male attire, adding a little beard and black-frad glasses, she looked like a scholarly and successful businessman.
"How's that, can't tell at all that I'm a woman, right?" Zhuo Yue was very confident in her disguise; after all, she was an experienced undercover journalist, and this ca naturally to her.
"What do you think I should do?" Zhuo Yue muttered as if talking to herself.
"Isn't that simple? And here I thought you were an experienced undercover journalist. Can't even handle this little problem,"
"Ah, that won't do, I'm not used to it." Zhuo Yue exhaled softly, suddenly seeming a bit embarrassed.
"It's just a suggestion, whether you take it or not is up to you." Ling Zhenfei didn't say much more, leading Zhuo Yue all the way to a small grove behind the neighborhood.
"What suggestion? I think you're just up to no good. Look at you, fairly handso, yet you don't find yourself a girlfriend?"
Zhuo Yue followed behind Ling Zhenfei and quickly arrived at the entrance of an abandoned underground garage in the grove, which looked dilapidated, but revealed a different world once inside.
The cave was pitch-black, so dark one couldn't see their own hand in front of their face. Fortunately, Ling Zhenfei had night vision and could see everything inside very clearly, whereas Zhuo Yue couldn't make out anything without light.
Perhaps out of a woman's instinct, Zhuo Yue clutched Ling Zhenfei's arm sowhat fearfully, as if she was deeply afraid that he would leave her alone in this darkness.
After walking about a dozen ters further, they reached a separate room blocked by a large door. Various masks hung on the walls on either side, and soone who had arrived earlier was already there, sitting next to the wall on a bench, browsing their phone in the dim light, barely recognizable as a silhouette.
Ling Zhenfei, however, could see this person clearly. They wore a casual suit, casually scrolling on their phone while wearing a mask, which obscured their face, making it difficult to discern their features.
After seeing this person, Ling Zhenfei imdiately understood sothing and casually picked a mask from the wall and put it on Zhuo Yue's face.
"What are you doing?" Zhuo Yue, confused by the mask being put on, tried to resist but was stopped as Ling Zhenfei covered her mouth. The clever Zhuo Yue instantly grasped the situation: in this mbers-only club, where many unsavory things were kept from sight, many people wore masks to hide their identities, thus avoiding a lot of unnecessary trouble.
Indeed, the masks proved to be quite advantageous for both Ling Zhenfei and Zhuo Yue.
"You sit on the chair and wait for a while; I'll get us two mbership cards," Ling Zhenfei whispered into Zhuo Yue's ear.
"How will you get them?"
"You don't need to worry about that. Just make sure you're not discovered."
After speaking, Ling Zhenfei left Zhuo Yue and went back the way they had co. In this pitch-black environnt, most people would be terrified, but for Ling Zhenfei, it was no different from the world outside.
It wasn't long before he saw a faint light approaching from the distance, and from afar, Ling Zhenfei could see two people arriving, one using a phone to light the way, while the other carried a lantern with a very weak light.
The two were obviously regulars, chatting as they walked.
"Damn these stupid rules, forbidding lights—it makes anxious every ti I walk through here, always afraid of stepping on a snake."
