"Nobody sent us; we are undercover from the television station."
Ling Zhenfei told the truth, realizing that lying might not necessarily get them through, so he decided to be honest.

The cold light slashed across his arm, grazing his hair, and his forearm was cleanly severed, his gun-wielding right hand falling away.
Before the man could even scream, Ling Zhenfei was at his side, landing a sharp kick to his chest; he was sent flying and passed out before he could make a sound.
No one could withstand a kick from Ling Zhenfei once it had landed.
Ling Zhenfei's reactions were lightning-fast; after kicking the middle-aged man to the ground, he grabbed Zhuo Yue and dashed towards the corridor.
As one of the main characters of the incident, Zhuo Yue was sowhat dazed, not even realizing what had happened until Ling Zhenfei pulled him along as they ran.
"Which way to the front?" Ling Zhenfei asked Zhuo Yue.
"Straight ahead is the exit of the corridor, but there are guards at the door. That's where I got captured."
Ling Zhenfei, pulling Zhuo Yue along, sprinted down the corridor toward the front, moving as if they were flying; Zhuo Yue even felt like his feet weren't touching the ground. It didn't take them long to reach the exit. Although they were fast, Zhu Qiang and Feng Kai were quick to pursue them.
Both were at the Mingmu Stage realm, and although not as high as Ling Zhenfei's realm, Ling Zhenfei's speed was seriously compromised because he was carrying soone.

Zhuo Yue hadn't even stepped out when a gunshot was heard, and the bullet whizzed past their ears, nearly hitting them both.
