Seeing Liu Bingying's handwriting, Ling Zhenfei couldn't help feeling a bit of happiness. Although he had not started a family, at that mont, he felt the warmth of a ho. As Ling Zhenfei walked and looked around, a car suddenly honked at him from beside the road. Turning to look, he couldn't help but smile—it was Han Lian honking at him from her car.
"What's up, Officer Han?" he said.
"Cut the crap and get in," she replied.
Han Lian waved him over and Ling Zhenfei got into her car, an ordinary Santana that did not look like a police vehicle from the outside.
Today, Han Lian wasn't in uniform but dressed very casually, wearing a leisure top and denim shorts. These were in fact part of the outfit Ling Zhenfei had picked out for her at the clothing store last ti. They fit Han Lian perfectly and looked beautiful, especially since the police academy had sculpted her into such a stunning figure.
"What are you looking at?" Seeing Ling Zhenfei stare at her legs, Han Lian looked angry but her eyes betrayed a hint of pride.
"I bought those clothes for you, and now that you are wearing them, can't I take a look? You put them on without letting see," Ling Zhenfei said, feigning a move to touch them.
"Don't be shaless. That's enough, or I'll castrate you," she warned.
Seeing Han Lian flare up, Ling Zhenfei hastily stopped his actions. It was all just to tease Han Lian anyway. Although Han Lian had a great figure, she still fell short when compared to Liu Bingying, not just in size but also in charm—they were simply not the sa flavor.
"Alright, spill it. Why are you here cruising around in your car in broad daylight instead of working?"
Ling Zhenfei was curious about Han Lian's presence in such a place.
"There's been so trouble nearby with sothing called the 'Three Killers'. They've been wreaking havoc lately, and I'm here on orders to investigate... By the way, what a coincidence to find you here," Han Lian said, evidently also curious about Ling Zhenfei's presence.
"I have a small business close by, why can't I co to the neighborhood?" he replied.
"Since your business is nearby, do you know anything about this 'Three Killers'?" she asked.
"I don't know anything about 'Three Killers'. What can your police departnt do even if you investigate? Do you dare to take action?" ntioning the district, Ling Zhenfei naturally thought of his own 'Number One'. Although this 'Number One' was sowhat joked about, he would not be able to escape responsibility if the police looked into it closely.
"Listen to you - as long as it threatens public safety, we have to take action," Han Lian retorted.
She continued driving leisurely through the streets, talking with Ling Zhenfei.
"Then I'll see for myself how you police fight against the Three Killers Club," Ling Zhenfei doubted that the police would take action against the gang. As the saying goes, tug one hair and the whole body moves, without powerful backing, the Three Killers Club couldn't have grown so rapidly.
Just then, his cell phone suddenly rang, and to his surprise, it was from Zhuo Yue.
"Hey big-ti journalist, calling at this hour, got any important news?"
"Yes, there's sothing I need to tell you," Zhuo Yue's tone over the phone was indiscernible, neither joyous nor sad.
"Speak, I'm listening."
"I've already sent the information to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and received a response. They said they're taking the matter very seriously and have set up a special departnt to deal with it, and instructed to keep it confidential."
"That's good news, isn't it? We've already talked about this, haven't we?"
"Yeah, it is, but there's a problem. It seems like the information has leaked. It looks like soone is tracking ." At this point, Zhuo Yue sounded cautious.
"What, soone's tracking you? Are you sure?" Ling Zhenfei was startled. The Sharks would definitely take action, and Zhuo Yue hadn't worn a mask before, only heavy makeup. If soone were to scrutinize, they could find traces.
"I'm not sure, but I've decided to go into hiding for a while. I'm on my way to the airport now, taking the afternoon flight."
"Where are you headed?"

Ling Zhenfei looked ahead and saw a group of people arguing not far away. There were many of them and it looked like they were about to co to blows.
Ling Zhenfei and Han Lian quickly stopped the car and walked up to the scene.
It was a large bar, and the quarrel was taking place right at the entrance. Not understanding what was happening, Ling Zhenfei and Han Lian watched from the sidelines.
The argunt was between two groups of people. One group, nurous and looking like small-ti thugs, had surrounded the entrance of the bar. The other group appeared to be the bar staff, fewer in number but not lacking in spirit.
The leader of the rowdy group was a young man with red hair, arrogance written all over his face, visible in every gesture and movent.
"Brother Liu, by saying this you're not giving face to our Three Killers Club," remarked the head of the gang.
The person speaking from the bar was a middle-aged man, seemingly not soone to be trifled with, but his deanor was much calr, giving off a stable impression.
"Bro, it's not about not giving face to the Three Killers Club. I respect your three leaders imnsely, but I've already made it clear, I need money now, it's not the ti for sentint," he said.
"So how much do you want, seriously. We, the Three Killers Club, are interested in your bar, but you can't be too greedy," said the young gang leader.
With a steady expression, Boss Liu replied, "I'm not being greedy. An appraiser assessed the property yesterday. With the building's foundation and the entire bar, the value is definitely above ten million. I'm only asking for ten million."
