Like a snake, it remains still until it strikes with a lethal blow.
The hand of Snake Head took the shape of a snake's head and shot forward, striking Ling Zhenfei squarely in the chest.

A muffled sound followed, and Ling Zhenfei was sent flying by the impact.
The blow was trendously powerful; even though Ling Zhenfei had mustered his Spiritual Power to shield his chest, he couldn't block the strike and was slamd against the wall before crashing to the ground. However, he quickly got to his feet, using his Northern Spiritual Energy to staunch the roiling blood in his veins.
Although he managed to suppress the blood from spurting out, Ling Zhenfei knew his internal organs were damaged. He felt incredibly lucky, for he distinctly sensed Snake Head's hand retracting slightly upon contact.
Perhaps it was because of the desire for the Breakthrough Pill that Snake Head hadn't used his full strength; otherwise, Ling Zhenfei certainly couldn't have stood up so easily.
In the re instant between Ling Zhenfei getting hit and knocked down to the ti he rose to fight again, no one would give him a mont to rest, especially Zhu Qiang and Feng Kai, whose daggers ached to plunge into Ling Zhenfei's neck.
"I cannot afford to drag out this fight. Not only am I facing four n, but I'm also injured and on their turf. This battle was lost from the start. The best strategy now is to retreat. As long as I can escape, that's a success."
With that thought, Ling Zhenfei decided his best chance was to find an opportunity to escape. The whirling Northern Spiritual Energy turned the room into chaos, knocking over everything, including the computer in the corner, which Hu Tou destroyed with a single palm strike, to Ling Zhenfei's alarm.
His goal was to retrieve the data from the computer, especially the one in this room which was of utmost importance. He had just entered the room and was discovered; it was highly likely that what he needed was in this room, so he had to obtain that computer no matter what.
Although the computer's screen was smashed into fragnts, the CPU underneath was the most crucial part. Ling Zhenfei was considering how to secure that CPU and then flee.
Ling Zhenfei summoned his Spiritual Power to its maximum, pushing his speed to the limit. His hands swiftly dealt several strikes of Northern Spiritual Energy, forcing Hu Tou and the others to retreat several steps.
"Sorry, but I'm out of here!"
Ling Zhenfei shouted, distracting Hu Tou and the others, and with a swing of his arm, he released a flash of silver light.
The silver light wasn't aid at a person but shot straight into the wall socket instead.
It was a Silver Needle that Ling Zhenfei had launched from his person, shooting directly into the socket. Instantly, sparks flew, and with a loud bang, the entire room plunged into darkness.
"Damn it, he's getting away, blockade the door quickly!"
The shout that Ling Zhenfei had given just before triggering the blackout led everyone to believe that he was trying to escape, so they all surged toward the doorway.
But who could have guessed that Ling Zhenfei's true intention wasn't to flee but to acquire the computer CPU?
In the split second when the lights went out, everyone's eyes, unadapted and vulnerable, struggled with the sudden darkness—even those in the Mingmu Realm were affected, so no one noticed that Ling Zhenfei ran in the opposite direction, not toward the door.
Ling Zhenfei reached the computer CPU, grabbed it, and had already planned his next move; he placed the CPU directly into his Heaven-Dropping Essence Marrow. With such vast space available, it would be foolish not to use it.
At this mont, Zhu Qiang and others finally realized sothing was amiss. The power in the room had gone out, but outside, it hadn't. With so many people guarding the entrance, if Ling Zhenfei ran through the door, how could he not be detected?
People in the Mingmu Realm had much better vision than ordinary people, and by now their eyes had already adapted to the dark environnt. They instantly saw that Ling Zhenfei had not only avoided escaping through the door but had instead moved to the farthest corner of the room.
"You little rascal, daring to play us!"
The four n, once again seething with anger, charged towards the direction where Ling Zhenfei was.
At this ti, Ling Zhenfei's heart was full of amusent. In this dark environnt, he could say he was like a fish in water. His Zhiyi state, combined with the Perspective Eye, was wholly unaffected by the darkness. Instead, it was Hu Tou and the others who might not fare as well, not everyone was endowed with the ability of the Perspective Eye.
Thinking of his advantage, Ling Zhenfei felt confident about making an escape. Seeing the four n lunging towards him, Ling Zhenfei did not et them head-on but instead aid his fists at the walls surrounding him and punched directly at them.
Boom!
With a loud noise, the wall was shattered by Ling Zhenfei's punch, opening a large hole through which he promptly crawled.
Ling Zhenfei's Perspective Eye had long since seen that there was just a brick wall separating this room from another, and in his view, this wall was as good as paper. Empowered by his spiritual power, he punched through it easily.
Ling Zhenfei acted very quickly. Once he reached the other room, he punched another large hole into the neighboring wall. After breaking through several rooms' walls, he successfully vanished into the darkness.
By the ti Ox Head Zhu Qiang and the others crawled through the hole, they found that Ling Zhenfei had already escaped without a trace.
"Search fast, seal all the exits; I refuse to believe this brat can fly." Zhu Qiang was almost driven mad with rage. To think Ling Zhenfei could escape under such conditions was a shaful tale to tell.
His anger was largely directed at Hu Tou and Ox Head, who, during the confrontation, clearly had not struck with lethal force. They were simply trying to capture Ling Zhenfei. If all four of them had attacked with lethal intent, Ling Zhenfei would not have had any chance to escape.
Hu Tou and Snake Head were also shocked, especially Snake Head, who had originally thought his strike would incapacitate Ling Zhenfei, rendering him immobile for at least a while. But who would have thought Ling Zhenfei would appear completely unaffected?
It could only be said that he had underestimated the strength of a master at the Zhiyi state, thus giving Ling Zhenfei an opportunity.
"Let's search as well; we absolutely cannot let this kid get away. Whether we can make a breakthrough or not depends on capturing that brat."
After a brief discussion, Hu Tou and Snake Head rushed outside to search for Ling Zhenfei everywhere.
The entire Imperial Palace Club was set into action, even the guests outside enjoying themselves were affected. Zhu Qiang and the others wanted to gather these custors together to prevent Ling Zhenfei from using them to his advantage.
Because they had been affected by Ling Zhenfei's "hundred days drunk," these guests were behaving as if they were actually intoxicated, having the ti of their lives when suddenly they were herded up, a situation that naturally made them extrely displeased. Instantly, argunts broke out with the security staff.
Those who could afford to consu at the Imperial Palace Club were either rich or noble. Being pushed around under such circumstances would satisfy no one. Soon the entire hall was filled with the sounds of argunts, turning the Imperial Palace Club into a noisy ss.
Bang!
Another sound rang out, and all the lights in the Imperial Palace Club went out, plunging the surroundings into pitch darkness.
