The fourth punch of the Heaven-Splitting Ten Fists hit Number Ten squarely, causing him to spit fresh blood and then topple to the ground.
Complete silence surrounded them; the four n in black lay on the ground, totally unable to stand, almost as if they were already dead. Yet Ling Zhenfei knew they were not dead, just passed out.
Only He Dalong stood trembling in place, staring at Ling Zhenfei as if he were looking at a devil.
Ling Zhenfei also looked at He Dalong. "He Dalong, do you still want to kill now?"
"I dare not, I dare not, please spare my life, I know I was wrong," He Dalong begged, hastily kneeling on the ground.
"Do you think I can let you go just like that? You think too highly of yourself. I've always been rciless. I am thinking about how killing you would be most satisfying."
Killing aura surged on Ling Zhenfei's face as he spoke, scaring He Dalong out of his wits.
"Don't kill , don't kill , I know I was wrong. Just spare and I swear I'll nd my ways. I have money; I can give you money."
The ntion of money infuriated Ling Zhenfei even more, as his Jeep had just tumbled down the cliff and turned into a heap of scrap, all thanks to He Dalong.
"He Dalong, you're quite ruthless, actually trying to kill . Keeping you alive would just be inviting disaster. I'll give you two choices: one is to jump off here and accompany my car."
"I choose the second one, the first ans certain death." He Dalong yelled out before Ling Zhenfei could finish.
Ling Zhenfei laughed, "Okay, the second choice is simpler. Unlock your phone and confess how you planned to kill , how you carried out the plan, and how you found Number Ten and the others. Don't leave out a single detail. If I hear sothing wrong, I'll throw you off this cliff."
"Okay, okay, I'll tell you, I'll record it right away." He Dalong didn't dare hide anything, quickly taking out his phone to record how he had sought out Number Ten to exact revenge on Ling Zhenfei, his entire plan, and its execution.
After Ling Zhenfei took the phone and reviewed the recording, confirming its accuracy, he sent it to his own email. Then he smiled, "Not bad, you did a good job. Call the police yourself, what are you waiting for?"
"Big Brother Ling, I was wrong. For the sake of our being from the sa village, please let go. You can't call the police. If they co, I'm as good as dead, truly dead."
"But you just tried to kill . Do you think I can let you go that easily?"
Thinking for a mont, He Dalong said, "I can compensate you with money, I'll give you all of it."
"How much money do you have?" Ling Zhenfei asked curiously.
"I have two million; I can give it all to you," He Dalong said, terrified that Ling Zhenfei might push him off the cliff in a fit of anger.
"What about my car?"
He Dalong pulled out a set of car keys from his pocket, "Brother, you can have my car. Just go around the bend and you'll see it, it's yours."
Ling Zhenfei snorted coldly, "He Dalong, listen up, I'm sparing you today for the sake of our hotown. Bring the money to Xishan Manor. Don't talk nonsense, or you know the consequences."
"I have your confession video. If you don't behave yourself from now on, you know what will happen."
He Dalong knelt on the ground, knocking his head like pounding garlic, "Yes, yes, Big Brother Ling, I know I was wrong. I'll bring you the money right away, if you spare , you're like my second parents."
Ling Zhenfei snorted coldly, no longer paying He Dalong any attention, and instead walked over to Number Ten. Ling Zhenfei knew that his punch just now hadn't been fatal to Number Ten.
"Stop playing dead; I know you're not dead," Ling Zhenfei said, kicking Number Ten with his foot.
Number Ten slowly opened his eyes; though not dead, he was seriously injured.
"What do you want to do? Are you really set on wiping out completely?"
Ling Zhenfei laughed, "What's wrong with that? I've always said that I am one to repay an eye for an eye. You want to kill , why can't I kill you?"
Number Ten beca very agitated upon hearing this, "Our Killer Building won't let you get away with this."
"To hell with your Assassin Lodge, believe it or not, I'll throw you off the cliff right now." Ling Zhenfei slapped Number Ten's face.
Number Ten dared not speak carelessly anymore, "We have no grudge, we are both injured now, please let us go."
"I can let you go, but what's in it for ?" Ling Zhenfei looked at Number Ten with a smirk.
"Whatever you want, just say it. If I have it, I'll definitely give it to you." Number Ten caved in; he knew Ling Zhenfei was truly capable of killing.
Ling Zhenfei thought for a mont, "Give the whip technique you just used, and I'll spare your lives."
"No, that whip technique is a secret art of our sect, not to be passed on to outsiders."
"So you want to die, huh? I'll grant your wish." After saying that, Ling Zhenfei drew his Dragon Tooth Dagger.
Seeing this, Number Ten hurriedly shouted, "I'll give it to you, I'll give it to you, but I don't have it on right now, how can I give it to you?"
That indeed was a problem. Ling Zhenfei thought for a mont then took a small bottle from his Di Tian Shen Sui, poured out four pills, and fed one to each of the four black-clad figures.
"The pill I gave you just now is called Half Moon Powder. If you don't get the antidote within half a month after taking it, you will rot to death. Bring the goods within half a month, or you know the consequences."
Ling Zhenfei wasn't lying; he had acquired this substance from the Heavenly Net Poisonous Woman, complete with a very clear description of its effects. Initially, Ling Zhenfei had only glanced at the description and stored it away, never thinking it would co in handy today.
"Alright, then it's a deal."
"A deal it is."
After stating this, Ling Zhenfei looked at He Dalong and said, "I'll leave this to you, handle it as you see fit."
After finishing his words, Ling Zhenfei headed toward the car around the bend with He Dalong's keys. He couldn't delay any longer; the phone in his Di Tian Shen Sui wouldn't stop ringing, which ant Bai Ling must have arrived.
Ling Zhenfei turned a corner and imdiately saw He Dalong's car, a Toyota Land Cruiser – quite a decent vehicle.
Without another thought, Ling Zhenfei got into the car and drove towards the train station.
"Hello, Bai Ling? Sorry about not hearing the phone earlier."
While in the car, Ling Zhenfei answered Bai Ling's call.
"Ling Zhenfei, what are you trying to do, playing tricks on ? I'm already at the train station. Didn't you say that the first thing I'd see when I stepped out is you? I've been here for half an hour." Bai Ling exploded with anger as soon as the call connected, clearly very upset.
"Miss, I'm sorry, sothing held up, but I'm on my way now. There are quite a few snack shops with local flavors outside the train station; go sit for a bit and have sothing to eat—my treat, I'll be there shortly."
As Ling Zhenfei spoke, he sped up towards the train station.
"Hmph, just wait for . Making wait for so long has caused serious ntal and physical harm. Regardless, you owe compensation."
"Yes, I will definitely compensate you."
"That's more like it. Hurry up and get here."
