"Mr. Ling, you've finally co; I've been so eager to give you a call," she said enthusiastically as she ushered Ling Zhenfei into the room.
Inside the room, a pair of slippers had already been prepared for Ling Zhenfei. It wasn't clear if the brand-new slippers had just been purchased, but Ji i actually took off the shoes from Ling Zhenfei's feet and put the slippers on him herself.
Ling Zhenfei was sowhat surprised, "Miss Ji, you're too kind. You're a big star, after all."
Ji i laughed, "Compared to you, this big star isn't very famous. You don't need to have any reservations; this is what I should do."
As they spoke, Ji i also took off Ling Zhenfei's coat and hung it in the cloakroom.
The house was a European-style villa, probably three stories tall. The spacious ho was splendidly decorated, from the décor to the furniture, all exuding luxury.
"Mr. Ling, why are you still standing there? Co on in."
Seeing Ling Zhenfei sowhat dazed, Ji i urged him.
Ling Zhenfei nodded and went in. In other people's hos, the living room is imdiately visible upon entering, but Ji i's house had a hallway right after the entrance, with cloakrooms on both sides, leading to the living room only after passing through the hallway.
The living room was divided into a large living room, a small living room, and a dining room, each with a different style. Now, on the dining room table, wine glasses had already been placed, immaculate and waiting for guests to enjoy.

"I'm just destined to be a hard worker. If you ask to idle away my ti, I really can't do it. Whenever I have the ti, I like to listen to music and clean by myself."
The two of them sat on the sofa and talked for a while, and Ling Zhenfei began to truly understand Ji i. Their last eting was the first ti they had t and was mainly to assist Chu Bingqing in obtaining elixir, so their conversation hadn't touched on personal matters.
This ti was different. Ling Zhenfei's visit to Ji i's house indicated that they were now friends, so it was appropriate to ask personal questions.

After thinking for a mont, Ling Zhenfei said, "How about this: since you have such a variety of ingredients, I'll make 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.' I don't know if you drink alcohol or if there's anything you can't eat."
Ji i quickly shook her head, "I don't have any dietary restrictions. 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall,' drunken shrimp, and the like are my favorites."
"Then you're really in for a treat. My 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall' is absolutely different from anyone else's. I'll think of the rest of the dishes myself; you go and rest."
The kitchen was located in a corner on the first floor, a relatively independent space. To keep the slls from spreading to other areas, it was thoroughly sealed off.
Then Ling Zhenfei began preparing the ingredients, but Ji i didn't leave; she stayed by his side, busy and looking utterly content.
Ling Zhenfei didn't say anything. Since Ji i was enjoying herself, he let her be. Having a beauty for company definitely made it feelspecial.
The two of them chatted as they worked with the ingredients, not stopping until everything was in the pot. Only then did Ji i walk to the kitchen door.
"I'll leave the rest to you. I'll go get the wine ready," she said, then ran off like a playful deer, looking very lively.
A smile appeared on Ling Zhenfei's face. Ji i, such a major star and a strong woman, had such an adorable side to her, which he hadn't expected.
Ling Zhenfei's version of Buddha Jumps Over the Wall was unique in its ingredients and thod, but he regretted adding the wine, as the dish would absorb all the alcohol from the soup in the end.
It wasn't the sa as drinking. It tasted fantastic, but too much would definitely intoxicate. If Ji i drank too much, it wouldn't be good.
But the wine was already in there, and not even soone as capable as Ling Zhenfei could take it back out.
There was no helping it; he'd just have to remind Ji i to eat less later. After getting the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall stewing, Ling Zhenfei began preparing other dishes.
Alert to every sound around him, he suddenly heard the doorbell ring at Ji i's house followed by the sound of her footsteps opening the door.
"Hello, who are you?"
A man's voice ca from the entrance: "Miss Ji, you seem to have a short mory for familiar faces. Have you forgotten ? I'm Zhu Weida from Ouya Group."
Ji i suddenly realized, "Oh, it's President Zhu. What brings you here, and without any notice?"
Zhu Weida laughed, "I really didn't dare to call. If I had, you might have been out of the house on so errand, so I thought it better to co right over. Luckily, I found you in."
"President Zhu, it's quite late, and it isn't appropriate for you to visit now. Let's talk about any issues tomorrow," Ji i's voice was clearly displeased.
Zhu Weida, still smiling, said, "Miss Ji, that's where you're wrong. I'm at your doorstep; the least you could do is invite us in to talk."
As he finished speaking, Zhu Weida and his people tried to barge into the room, and Ji i hurriedly blocked them: "I'm sorry, but I have guests over today. I can't let you in."
But what could Ji i do, a woman alone, to stop so many n? The n just walked straight into the living room.
"What guests? I don't see anyone," scoffed Zhu Weida, glancing around and not spotting anyone. He laughed derisively.
"Director Ji, I really can't trust what you say anymore. How much do you owe us already for the goods? Dragging it out like this isn't good," he said as he arrogantly seated himself on the sofa, acting like a rogue rather than a company manager.
Ji i's expression turned sour, "Manager Zhu, I've already discussed the paynt with Director Shi. Director Shi agreed to give a few more days. I really don't understand why you're here today."
Zhu Weida's expression also darkened, "Hmph, Director Shi. I'm your direct superior. Your failure to pay affects , not any Director Shi. I want to know when you'll pay up."
Ji i looked distressed, "I'll definitely pay you in the next couple of days. We've been cooperating for so long, you should know what kind of person I am."
