"You said you started making desserts since you were sixteen, but shouldn't you have been in school at that ti?"
The girl nodded, "That's right, my family used to own a cake shop, and that's when I began to learn how to make cakes. Cake was the first type of dessert I learned to make."
"After graduating from university, I had already obtained an interdiate certificate for pastry chefs. After graduation, I went to Britain to study abroad and during that ti, I realized that I still preferred making desserts, so I continued studying dessert-making in Britain."
At this mont, Ling Zhenfei suddenly interrupted and asked, "What position are you applying for?"
Earlier, Ling Zhenfei had been reviewing the girl's information. This girl, nad Tang Lan, had just returned from Britain.
Tang Lan said with a smile, "I'm applying for the position of Head Pastry Chef."
"But don't you think you're too young? A Head Pastry Chef needs a lot of experience. Do you think you are up to the task?"
Tang Lan confidently replied, "I'm quite natural because I make desserts out of passion, not just because I like it, and not as a job. So I believe I have an advantage over anyone."
Ling Zhenfei nodded, "You speak well, and I really appreciate it, but that's still not enough to convince that you can be the Head Pastry Chef. If you think you can, you're welco to take part in our second-round interview."
Tang Lan said with a smile, "Of course, I'm not afraid of any challenges."
"Good, then I'll see you at the second interview. I hope you'll impress then."
After seeing Tang Lan off, the next interviewee ca in, but it wasn't the previously ntioned hairstyle enthusiast; presumably, he knew that offending the Chairman wouldn't lead to any good outco, so he chose not to attend the interview and left.
Ling Zhenfei, along with Jiang Hui and Zhou Tong, conducted interviews all afternoon, advancing many candidates to the second round.
This left quite a few people bewildered. It was just a restaurant hiring, yet there was a second interview. But of course, no one could object to the high salary and benefits offered by Ling Zhenfei.
Xi Shan Restaurant is the face of Xi Shan Group, and of course, it must be managed well to leave the deepest impression.
With the opening just ten days away, their tasks were still quite arduous with too many things needing their attention.
Ling Zhenfei thought about it and felt the pressure mounting. So he called Yang Zixuan, asking her to hand over her current tasks and co to Xi Shan Restaurant imdiately.

Yang Zixuan, on her end, of course, had no issues, but there were still many matters remaining, so Ling Zhenfei called Jiang Hui to his side.
"Have you adapted to your current living environnt yet?" Ling Zhenfei asked Jiang Hui.
Jiang Hui replied with so helplessness, "I've been so busy in the restaurant that I haven't had the ti to go out. You tell if I've adapted or not."
Ling Zhenfei laughed, "No worries, go out and take a stroll tomorrow, and while you're at it, buy yourself a couple of nice outfits."
Jiang Hui looked at Ling Zhenfei, incredulous, "You're being kind? That's not like you. What's your angle, out with it."
Ling Zhenfei said helplessly, "There's no angle. I just want you to buy so clothes, to compensate you a bit, and while you're at it, look for a decent clothing design company for us. We need to design a uniform for Xi Shan Restaurant."
Jiang Hui snorted coldly, "I knew you were up to no good. This isn't about buying clothes; you're clearly still making work."
Ling Zhenfei said, "You can buy whatever clothes you want. I'll reimburse you for whatever you spend."
Jiang Hui continued to shake her head, "I don't care for that. Unless you co with , I'm not going. Otherwise, I won't go."
Ling Zhenfei pleaded, "Don't joke about this. If I had the ti, I'd go myself. Besides, isn't this sothing you should do as my assistant?"
After hearing this, Jiang Hui pretended to be unenthusiastic, "As the boss, isn't it right for you to care about your assistant? Besides, I'm an assistant, not a gofer."
Ling Zhenfei laughed upon hearing this and said in a solemn tone, "Comrade Jiang Hui, listen well. From today onward, you're not just my assistant, but also my secretary. I hope you continue to strive and achieve even greater success in your new position."
Jiang Hui looked at Ling Zhenfei in surprise and finally said helplessly, "You truly are shaless."
"Don't worry, I won't short-change you. Once I'm free from this busy period, I'll definitely take you shopping properly. How does that sound?"
Jiang Hui started to laugh, "That's more like it." After saying this, she finally burst into happy laughter.
By this ti, it was already late. Jiang Hui lived in the staff dormitory on the third floor. Originally, Zhou Jian had suggested they have dinner together, but Ling Zhenfei declined, lying that he had sothing to do and then left the restaurant.
Sitting in his car, Ling Zhenfei didn't know where to go. Tonight, he had two places he could visit, one was Liu Bingying's ho, and the other was Jiu Jiu's place.
It had been a while since he'd left Liu Bingying. To be honest, Ling Zhenfei truly missed her a lot. After all, they had spent quite so ti together, and their feelings had naturally deepened.

Ling Zhenfei, sensing sothing wrong in Xu Yuyu's voice, quickly replied, "I can talk now. What's wrong? You don't sound right."
To Ling Zhenfei's surprise, Xu Yuyu burst into tears as soon as he said this. She was, after all, pregnant with Ling Zhenfei's child, and crying like this was bad for both Xu Yuyu and the baby.
"What happened, Xu Yuyu? Don't cry. Just tell what's going on."
After crying for a while, Xu Yuyu said, "Do you know? That bastard is having an affair."
Ling Zhenfei was stunned when he heard this, knowing she must be talking about Xu Yuyu's husband. He couldn't believe such an incapable man would have an affair.
But then again, if Xu Yuyu could bear Ling Zhenfei's child, why couldn't her husband find another woman outside?
