Just over a dozen seconds had passed, and all the remaining people had been knocked to the ground. Now, more than twenty people lay on the floor of Xi Shan Restaurant. Anyone walking in at that mont would have been scared witless.
So were severely beaten and writhed in agony on the floor. Ling Zhenfei walked over and kicked one of them, "Shut up. Anyone who calls out for , I'll break their damn legs."
As soon as Zhenfei said that, most of the people didn't dare make another sound, even if they were truly in pain, they endured it.
But these people looked like petty thugs, none of them willing to submit to anyone. There was soone who refused to submit to Ling Zhenfei, not only continuing to shout but doing so even louder than before.
Ling Zhenfei sneered slightly, casually picked up a wooden stick from the fallen weapons on the ground, and walked towards the guy who was shouting the loudest.
Of course, the kid saw Ling Zhenfei approaching, and his face went pale. Then he said to Zhenfei, "Kid, I think we should talk."
"Talk my ass," Ling Zhenfei finished speaking and swung two sticks at the kid's legs.
Everyone heard the sound of bones breaking, and the guy scread in pain.
Ling Zhenfei pointed the stick at the guy's face, "Scream again for , I dare you, and I'll break the other leg too."
Although the kid's leg was broken and he must have been in incredible pain, he could only bear it at that mont.
There was complete silence around, and more than twenty people lying on the ground didn't dare to speak. No one expected Ling Zhenfei to be so ruthless.
Zhou Tong and Jiang Hui walked over from a distance. Zhou Tong asked, "Boss, what should we do now?"
Ling Zhenfei said, "What else can we do? They used to work in our restaurant, so now I'll let them lie here."
"Keep them lying here the whole ti?" Jiang Hui inquired.
"What, you're afraid they'll get cold? Have they ever enjoyed such a thick carpet before?" Ling Zhenfei glanced at those people, then said to Jiang Hui, "Go and close the door. I want to have a good ti with these guys."
Zhou Tong said, "Boss, that's not really appropriate. We still have interviews going on inside."
Ling Zhenfei said, "Doesn't matter if today's about interviews or receiving national leaders. If soone dares to shit on my head, I'll make them eat it."
"Ew, that's gross." Jiang Hui pretended to gag and then went to close the door, shutting the entrance to XiSha Restaurant completely.
The people lying on the ground heard what Ling Zhenfei had just said, all understanding that today was not going to be easy. They had really not expected that the man before them could be so vicious; he was too ruthless.
These people tried to act like they were part of the underworld, but how could they know that the man before them was darker than anything else.
Zhou Tong said sympathetically to those people, "It's a pity, really. Who else could you have ssed with? You just had to ss with my boss. You're on your own now."
The thugs were terrified, and one of them called out, "Big Brother, we won't dare to do it again, please let us go."
Ling Zhenfei laughed, "You think you can co and go as you please, just like that? Then wouldn't I lose face? Who doesn't have so connections in society these days?"
"Big Brother, we really won't dare next ti. We truly didn't know you were this tough."
"Nonsense, if you knew I was tough, would you have dared to co?" Ling Zhenfei said irritably.
"So, Boss, what exactly do you want to do? We really won't dare next ti."
Ling Zhenfei said with a smile, "Do you know how much this carpet you are lying on costs? It's more expensive than the beds in your hos, so just lie down nicely. If you lie well, I won't hit you or scold you, but if you don't, I'll break your legs."
Hearing this, nobody dared to move anymore, so they just lay there. Since Ling Zhenfei hadn't started his business yet, he let these people lie down and had subdued them all in one go.
At first, they were fine for a bit, but soon they began to find it hard to bear. At that mont, Ling Zhenfei noticed a kid with a very strange look, so he walked over.
It was only after he approached that Ling Zhenfei realized the kid was hurriedly sending a text on his phone. Seeing Ling Zhenfei coming over, the kid quickly sent the ssage.
Ling Zhenfei kicked the guy twice, then snatched the phone away. To his surprise, the ssage was a plea for soone to call the police imdiately.
Ling Zhenfei laughed, "You're really a disgrace to your organization. Even gangsters call the police now? How embarrassing."
"Big brother, please let us go. The police have already been called; they'll be here any minute, and none of us will be better off when they arrive."
Ling Zhenfei sneered, "What harm is it to ? It's your problem for causing trouble."
Soon after, they saw a police car speeding toward them, pulling up at the entrance of Xi Shan Restaurant. Then two officers were seen pushing the door and entering the Xi Shan Restaurant.
As they walked into the restaurant and saw people lying and sprawling on the floor, both officers were taken aback.
The officers glanced at Ling Zhenfei, a look of surprise in their eyes, and then walked over to him.
"Boss Ling, what's going on here?"
These officers knew Ling Zhenfei. At the ti, he had helped solve several major cases in Binyang and was one of Binyang's outstanding young citizens. Furthermore, with his good relations with Han Lian and Guo Qing'an, many officers recognized Ling Zhenfei.
"It's nothing. These guys said my carpet was expensive and wanted to sleep on it."
At that mont, the people lying on the floor, upon hearing the police, thought help had arrived. They yelled at the officers, "Officers, it's not like that; we've been imprisoned. Please take us away, this place is a wolf's den."
The officer angrily replied, "Don't lie to the police. You're all fine, with no restraints. Who has imprisoned you?"
Ling Zhenfei added, "Exactly, just enjoy the carpet. But be careful not to dirty it. If one hair falls on it, I'll pluck all your hair out."
Those people beca sowhat desperate, realizing that even the police were of no help. There was nothing more to say.
"Comrade officer, I want to confess. The bag-snatching case on East Street the day before yesterday was my doing. Please, co and take away," one of the crowd pleaded.
The two officers were startled, "Looks like there's an unexpected gain."
"Boss Ling, then we can take this kid with us," they said.
Ling Zhenfei nodded, "If they've committed cris, feel free to take them, but make sure you verify it thoroughly. Don't let these people file false charges."
"Don't worry, we'll make sure to confirm whether their confessions are genuine," they assured.
"I also want to confess, I stole a phone two years ago."
"I confess, I hit soone in a KTV yesterday."
In an unexpected turn, quite a few of the young gang mbers started confessing, preferring jail to remaining in the Xi Shan Restaurant.
The officers took away those who had confessed, while the rest had no choice but to continue lying on the floor.
"I'm in a good mood right now, I'll give you a chance. If what you say satisfies , I'll let you go," Ling Zhenfei offered.
"You tell us, boss. We'll say whatever you want us to say," they eagerly agreed.
"We'll definitely co clean, just let us go," they pleaded.
Ling Zhenfei knew these people were no longer in a position to be evasive and asked, "Who sent you here, and what's your purpose?"
