"Lin Yun, today is the day you die." After a fierce battle, Tang Wushuang roared, raising the Scepter in his hand. Instantly, a thundercloud began to coalesce above his head.
"Tang Wushuang, talk is cheap. Today, I’ll be the one sending you to your grave!" Lin Yun retorted defiantly as he began to charge his Dual Dragon World Destruction.
Both unleashed their full power, preparing for their strongest attack. The thundercloud above Tang Wushuang grew increasingly dense, and the faint rumble of Celestial Thunder could be heard from within. anwhile, on Lin Yun’s Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear, two Dragon Shadows—one red, one purple—began to materialize, their might terrifying to behold.
’Are these two really just Qi Sea Realm Martial Artists?’ the Emperor thought in astonishnt, looking at Lin Yun and Tang Wushuang. He had never given Tang Wushuang a second thought before. Although Tang Wushuang shared the imperial surna, he was rely from a collateral branch with only a distant blood connection to the direct line of the Royal Family.
’Summoning a thundercloud...’ While the Emperor was rely surprised, Tang Chenming, who stood beside him, was utterly shocked. ’What tier of Martial Skill does it take to do sothing like that? I never thought soone who is only at the Qi Sea Realm could summon a thundercloud.’
The thundercloud Tang Wushuang summoned was small, only about ten square ters, but that was already incredibly impressive.
"This kid... he’s another one of those monstrously talented geniuses," remarked the other Celestial Spirit Realm expert from Celestial Eagle Valley.
Their auras grew more and more powerful. A few monts later, they launched their attacks almost simultaneously. Tang Wushuang swung his Scepter down, pointing it at Lin Yun as he roared furiously.
"Five Thunders Strike the Head."
Instantly, five thick bolts of lightning shot out from the thundercloud, streaking down toward Lin Yun. Judging by the destructive aura they emanated, not even an expert at the Middle Stage of the Primordial Ocean Realm would dare to face them directly.
Yet, faced with Tang Wushuang’s Five Thunders Strike the Head, Lin Yun made no move to dodge or evade. A draconic roar resounded from the Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear as the red and purple Dragon Shadows burst forth, surging toward the five bolts of Celestial Thunder like a pair of frenzied dragons.
"Dual Dragon World Destruction."
With Lin Yun’s furious roar, the two attacks collided violently. The space between them instantly erupted in a massive explosion, and the powerful shockwave sent both Lin Yun and Tang Wushuang flying backward.
Lin Yun was relatively unscathed. The power of Dual Dragon World Destruction was slightly stronger than Five Thunders Strike the Head, and coupled with his Flawless Flesh Body, he didn’t suffer any severe injuries.
Tang Wushuang, by contrast, was in a much worse state. He coughed up a mouthful of blood as he was sent flying. Lin Yun’s Dual Dragon World Destruction had clearly overpowered Five Thunders Strike the Head, and the aftershock left Tang Wushuang’s internal energy in turmoil.
The two landed unsteadily. Once the dust settled, the crowd was shocked to discover that the plaza where the two had fought had vanished completely, leaving a massive crater in its place.
This was a plaza within the Imperial Palace—the main one, no less, situated before the Purple Gold Hall. It had been built with the hardest materials available; even an expert at the Early Stage of the Primordial Ocean Realm would have had difficulty damaging it. To think that these two had utterly obliterated it, leaving not even dust behind.
After that one clash, Lin Yun had gained a slight advantage. His eyes were filled with murderous intent as he stared at Tang Wushuang.
"Tang Wushuang, today you die."
"Hmph. You think a slight advantage is enough to kill ? Lin Yun, you’re the one who will die today!" Tang Wushuang retorted with a cold snort.
Seeing the murderous looks on their faces, Lin Xiaotian and Zhang Jingxiang had no idea what kind of feud existed between the two. They didn’t know that for the past two years, the two had been sworn enemies, fated to fight to the death whenever they t.
"Yun’Er will be alright, won’t he...?" Zhang Jingxiang asked, nervously gripping Lin Xiaotian’s arm.
At her words, a smile touched Lin Xiaotian’s lips. He was incredibly proud of Lin Yun’s growth. It was safe to say that Lin Yun was now the undisputed number one martial artist of Yanhuang Country’s younger generation.
Gently patting Zhang Jingxiang’s hand, Lin Xiaotian smiled. "It’s alright. We have to have faith in our son."
"Yes, Auntie, please don’t worry. Lin Yun is incredibly strong," Lu Bingning added from the side.
Their reassurances did calm Zhang Jingxiang down considerably. Her gaze on Lu Bingning softened with affection. After the ti they had spent together in the Celestial Prison, Zhang Jingxiang had co to know Lu Bingning well. ’This stunningly beautiful woman is truly worthy of my son,’ she thought. ’And I’ve grown very fond of my prospective daughter-in-law.’
Lin Yun didn’t have Little Ape intervene in his bloody battle with Tang Wushuang. Deep down, his rivalry with Tang Wushuang ant sothing special to him.
Ever since they first t, Lin Yun and Tang Wushuang had been plotting to kill one another. And though Lin Yun had always held the absolute advantage, forcing Tang Wushuang to suffer defeat each ti, he had never managed to land the final, fatal blow.
’So, in my mind, if Tang Wushuang is to be killed, it has to be by my own hand.’
"Tang Wushuang," Lin Yun said flatly, "it’s been two years. Today, we finally settle this."
"Today, one of us will die," Tang Wushuang replied. In his heart, he felt the exact sa way: he had to be the one to personally kill Lin Yun.
"Die, Tang Wushuang!" "Die, Lin Yun!" They both roared, attacking at the sa instant and clashing once again.
The bloody battle resud. After several dozen exchanges, Lin Yun gradually gained the upper hand. Seizing an opening in Tang Wushuang’s defense, Lin Yun thrust his spear forward. Tang Wushuang parried with his Scepter, but just then, Lin Yun shot out a kick, landing it viciously on Tang Wushuang’s abdon.
Sent flying by the kick, Tang Wushuang shot backward. Lin Yun gave him no ti to recover, imdiately closing the distance. While Tang Wushuang was still airborne, Lin Yun thrust his spear toward his chest.
"Tang Wushuang, it’s over!" Lin Yun roared.
"Five Thunders Strike the Head!" Just as Lin Yun’s spear shot forward, Tang Wushuang waved his Scepter and shouted. Instantly, another bolt of Celestial Thunder descended from the clouds. With no ti to charge, this Five Thunders Strike the Head was far weaker than the last.
"Die, Lin Yun!" A vicious expression flashed across Tang Wushuang’s face as he watched the Celestial Thunder strike directly at Lin Yun.
Faced with Tang Wushuang’s Celestial Thunder, a cold smirk played on Lin Yun’s lips. ’I survived a true Celestial Punishnt back when I was in the Qi Sea Realm. You think I’d be afraid of a pathetic little bolt like this?’
Without dodging or evading, Lin Yun continued his spear thrust straight toward Tang Wushuang. At the exact mont the Celestial Thunder struck him, the Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear pierced Tang Wushuang’s body.
Having successfully impaled Tang Wushuang, Lin Yun’s face showed a hint of regret. At the last second, Tang Wushuang had managed to shift just enough to avoid a fatal blow to the heart. The Demon Bone Heaven-Dominating Spear had only pierced his chest—a wound that was not enough to kill him.
Both had truly gambled with their lives. Tang Wushuang with his chest pierced, Lin Yun struck by Celestial Thunder. Neither had shown any rcy. In their minds, suffering a grievous injury was a worthy price to pay for a chance to kill their opponent.
"Yun’Er!" Seeing Lin Yun struck by the Celestial Thunder, the watching Zhang Jingxiang cried out in alarm. She even started to rush forward, terrified for her son.
