It wasn't even ten minutes before a golden-robed man was dragged into the inner hall by two n locking him up in a birdcage made up of soul force.
His attire appeared to be immaculately tailored, with rich, intricate patterns and designs embroidered in gold thread, accentuating the exquisite craftsmanship of the robe.
His eyes, topaz in color, sparkle with a warm and inviting glow, drawing one into his captivating gaze. His straight eyebrows were perfectly arched, adding a touch of refinent and elegance to his features.
However, the won viewed him with a strange gaze, feeling sowhat disturbed, not because he was trapped like a bird in a birdcage but because there was sothing odd about him that pulled on their womanly strings.
"A newly ascended cultivator with an Exquisite Nine Yang Body at the Immortal Grade. Kill him…"
"Wait… wait!"
The golden-robed man raised his hands, appearing like he was asking for ti to explain himself.
"Why should we wait? Now that your friend is dead, do we even need to talk to you? Your life won't even fetch a good price if we sell you to the Fire Phoenix Clan."
Xerax sneered, causing the golden-robed man to beco stunned.
"How can it be…? I don't believe it."
"Well, look closely..."
Xerax gestured towards the projection at the center of the inner hall, causing the golden-robed man to turn and look at the giant projection.
His eyes inevitably went wide, reeling in pure shock.
Davis couldn't look anymore, not because they were burning his body on top of a mountain peak using the nirvanic fire that was said to help people reincarnate people better, but because his won weakly knelt before his burning body and cried their hearts out. This scene alone was completely devastating to him, almost causing him his disguise, but he continued to watch it like an indifferent onlooker devoid of emotions.
'This pain… I'll share it as well...'
Shortly after the nirvanic fire completely burned his body, leaving nothing behind, he turned to look at the golden-robed man, who still appeared stunned beyond compare.
The pain in his heart lightly subsided as a sense of brotherhood erged in his heart, causing him to smile lightly.
"Bastard! I risked my life to appear here, and you're dead already!? If you don't fucking revive like a phoenix, I'll curse you to death, damn it!"
Drake Blackburn roared as he held the birdcage's energy poles that trapped him. It scorched his hands, but despite that, he looked furious beyond compare, screaming at the projection.
His outrage stunned Davis, who was not expecting this kind of intense reaction from him.
First of all, he didn't expect Drake to be the one to have shown up. He imagined that it would be his father or brother since the Starlight Jade Wolf King had said 'bring him here', but to think it had been Drake all along.
He couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie at this mont, smiling as though he found it amusing.
The next mont, the Starlight Jade Wolf King waved his hand, causing the birdcage trapping Drake to disperse as though its light simply faded away.
"He's my guest, so naturally, this alliance shouldn't treat him like a captive."
The Starlight Jade Wolf King's words resounded, causing the other powers to shrug as though they didn't want any part of this except the Cyan Soul Rat Clan, which still held an amused outlook to their expressions. However, they didn't say anything at this mont, leaving the matter be as they watched Drake walk over to the Starlight Jade Wolf King, his eyes still appearing enraged.
However, he forcefully cald and cupped his hands towards the Starlight Jade Wolf King.
"I presu you're the Light Sky Wolf Immortal's true leader? Even if that's not the case, you have my gratitude."
Most felt that he just wanted to appear righteous, while a few others felt his character admirable, admirably stupid.
"Young man, are you truly his friend?"
"I am… at least, I was until I saw this bullshit. Revered immortal beast, tell that it's not true."
"…"
The Starlight Jade Wolf King offered no words, causing Drake's expression to sink.
"Well, be seated for this mont. As for whether he is truly dead or not, ti will tell." The forr gestured.
Drake appeared as though he was not able to digest this information, his expression still looking unsightly. He lowered his head, seemingly thinking about sothing else, with worry visible in his expression, his shoulders also drooping as he seed down.
Nonetheless, he followed the Starlight Jade Wolf King's words and sat to the left of the Starlight Jade Wolf King as the latter's wife gave way. This woman was privy to a few discussions conversed by Mo Tian and the Starlight Jade Wolf King, but since they used soul transmission for the important parts, Davis wasn't particularly bothered.
"Starlight Jade Wolf King, have you gone mad?? Can't you see that he was burned into ashes at the mountain peak, confird by various sources present there?"
"Yes, now that it has co to this, it is better to renounce your vow and offer or sacrifice that young man as a determination of your sincerity towards the alliance."
But since the Starlight Jade Wolf King has spoken out loud to console Drake, everyone had a frown as they thought him to be delusional, while the Cyan Soul Rat Clan's Patriarch and the Bloodcloud Family's Patriarch chastised and gave him advice.
Their words caused Drake to frown as he knew he was being targeted for being Davis's friend, not that he didn't expect such a scenario to occur as he already knew what kind of advances his friend would make in cultivation, not to ntion offending many people on the way even if he just stayed closed doors as he was a Divergent.
"Enough. I told you all I'm not taking back my words. The alternative would be my power leaving this alliance before it could co to fruition. If you're all fine with that, then I'll simply break the Blood Soul Contract and leave because, according to one of the clauses, you can't force one to accept a change in their power's stance towards certain individuals or powers. That's all there is to it."
"…"
The Starlight Jade Wolf King's stubborn answer left most speechless. Even after all this, he was still keeping to his words?
Most felt that he just wanted to appear righteous, while a few others felt his character admirable, admirably stupid.
Nonetheless, with the funeral procession coming to an end, they turned it off and went back to deciding who would have a better influence in the alliance.
[Free-for-all]
The third segnt beca visible for everyone to see, causing many expressions to light up.
"Apothecary Mo Tian, we offer a Space Essence Orb on top of our previous offer, the three Immortal Emperor Grade Armants, one Immortal Emperor Grade Healing Pill that's akin to a phoenix's resurrection even when used by a Peak Immortal King, not to ntion the three Mid Immortal King virgin slaves and one Late Immortal King Stage virgin whom you'll be marrying to join and battle for us." An immortal beast from the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan offered.
"Three Immortal Emperor Grade Armants, Earth Essence Orb, myself and my sister~" An elegant golden-robed woman stood up from the Goldlust Rat Clan echoed, offering herself up again but this ti with more treasures and another woman who looked almost the sa as her.
"Apothecary Mo Tian, we..."
Drake beca stunned as he saw everyone looking in his direction while offering an ungodly amount of resources, all in order to get him to battle for them. But hearing the na, he knew that it wasn't him but so other person, causing him to turn to look toward his right, beyond the Starlight Jade Wolf King, and saw everyone looking at him.
'What the hell!? How can an immortal receive such extravagant gifts? Is this guy too powerful? Is he this power's Young Master? No, if not, others would not be able to hire him, so a rcenary? An apothecary rcenary? Uh? This doesn't make sens- wait… why do I feel his presence to be sowhat familiar…?'
Nurous thoughts ran through Drake's head as he wondered if he had t Mo Tian sowhere, but obviously, he knew this was the first ti he was in the First Haven World, so how could he have t him!?
