Things weren't looking good as more than ten inheritors rushed to the Sixth Hidden Pagoda, bringing carnage underground. So were forced to use Escape Talismans, and so were actually killed in battle.
However, they eventually managed to shorten it to eight people and enter the Sixth Hidden Pagoda, starting the trial.
If they completed the Sixth Hidden Pagoda's trial, then everyone would be teleported out, and the Mystical Herb Mansion would be burned to the ground, including all the treasures. The fact that this island was far away from the mainland finally made sense, as destroying all those treasures was going to cause devastating waves of energy to erupt and destroy the surroundings.
The World Master wasn't kidding around when giving away treasures, as she also made the surroundings treacherous. Evelynn, Isabella, and Shirley were strong, but they weren't Immortal Emperors yet. It was only with trust and cooperation that his lovely wives were surviving, and he didn't like that one bit. He wanted to go aid them but was stuck here for the remainder of the ti.
Then again, having them by their side and influencing them to protect them was also their skill, so he was proud.
Nonetheless, Davis could see droves of inheritors making it to the Mystical Herb Mansion every passing minute.
He knew it was not coincidental.
When the second trial started, it was advised that the Empyrean Stage Crystal Beasts would be coming from far west, so all everyone had to do was run far east, and this is the place most ended up no matter the direction they entered the sea from.
The fog all led them here.
It just so happened that Evelynn and the others were first while the others were catching up one by one.
"Well, the winner should be obvious if it's only a battle of prowess…" Myria uttered with a sigh.
"Hmm. Founder Zenfla could win this…"
Davis nodded as he assessed the eight people.
One of them was Founder Zenfla, who finally made it to the Mystical Herb Mansion. As for the others, Davis didn't think much of them as they were no nas who got lucky entering the Mystical Herb Mansion and managing to chance upon the underground staircase that popped up when Shirley made it to the second floor.
It was too bad that Crystia, Noctis, Flarose, Frostrose, and many others within that team were unable to get near it as they were already engaged in extracting treasures and monts away from going up to the first floor.
Hirona and Sierra were almost about to cancel their extraction process but gave up when they saw Founder Zenfla appear. They were full of smiles and confidence, knowing he would win against the trash that went down.
Placing their hopes on him, they arrived at the first floor and began to shop for treasures quickly, knowing they would be teleported out if the Sixth Hidden Pagoda was cleared.
Davis could only laugh at their silhouettes. He had seen people panic buying with tension and alarm visible on their faces, but this was the first ti he had seen cultivators do that.
His focus then shifted to the battle in the trial of the Sixth Hidden Pagoda, and it seed like the challenge was quite interesting.
"I see… King of the Hill…"
A person stood on a hill while seven others were below, aiming for that person's throat.
That person was ganged up on and quickly taken out.
The mont he was crushed by Founder Zenfla's fist, everyone shifted places when, in all honesty, Davis and the others thought the trials had ended. It didn't end, but soone else was standing on the hill while the other seven appeared like they were able to gang up on the one standing on top of the hill.
"This is impossible to complete unless soone has extraordinary prowess, but most of the supre geniuses are at the sa level except for Founder Zenfla, but even for him, battling against seven supre geniuses at the sa ti should be extrely difficult…"
Tina blinked, not knowing who the winner would be.
Davis also shrugged, not sure anymore. It wasn't like Founder Zenfla possessed King-Tier Fire Phoenix Soul Essence, so reviving three tis or having his soul quickly rejuvenated wouldn't be possible.
Nonetheless, he continued watching the battle but got bored quickly.
He was more excited watching Evelynn, Isabella, and Shirley obtain treasures. As for Zenova, she was mildly doing well in not angering him, so he didn't care if she obtained other treasures or the fire and lightning attribute treasures, which she discussed with Shirley.
He felt that was a good decision on Shirley's part, as continuing to battle with Zenova Artoria would only result in grievous soul injuries for both sides. He imagined Zenova Artoria likely knew he would be furious if she took things too far and perhaps ca up with the plan to work together, but he didn't know if she still looked at him like he was superior.
After all, Zenova Artoria didn't know his true prowess. She only knew the version of him who was in the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm, capable of taking on Empyreal Monarchs, but didn't know that right now, Empyreal Monarchs were trash to him.
Currently, Empyreal Monarchs were also trash to Zenova Artoria, so he wondered if she didn't consider him in her plans and purely respected his wives, who had beco so strong. He was also proud if that's the case.
Either way, he was relieved that they didn't fight, or Zenova Artoria would've done so serious damage to them even if she fell in the end.
Ti passed, and the inheritors who participated in the Sixth Hidden Pagoda kept failing to defend the hill and fell the attacks of the seven others. Even if they sohow managed to take down one or two, the rest decided to forgo all defenses and throw kamikaze attacks on them, including Divine Techniques, leaving them utterly devastated.
Finally, it was Founder Zenfla's turn.
He was the last person to appear, as all seven of them failed to defend the hill.
Looking at Founder Zenfla standing tall on the hill, the seven others were full of caution as they knew he was the one who possessed the most prowess of them all, so they knew taking him down wasn't going to be easy.
"If Founder Zenfla fails… then they would probably all be kicked out of the trial of the Sixth Hidden Pagoda, and the ones outside might use that chance to kill them."
"It's going to get hectic again if Founder Zenfla loses…"
Tina and Dalila voiced their opinions.
As alchemy enthusiasts, they would like Evelynn and the others to complete collecting the treasures first. It had been fifteen minutes, so they only managed to collect three more treasures each.
There were still quite a number of treasures left, so they wanted Founder Zenfla to prolong the battle or even lose, but things outside didn't look good as inheritors were waiting right outside with fierce looks, ready to unleash their mighty techniques to kill.
There were no allies there because they were all looting the Mystical Herb Garden.
Unless Founder Zenfla used a Defensive Treasure when he reappeared near the Sixth Hidden Pagoda after losing, he could forget about leaving unscathed.
While things seed tense, Tina and Dalila suddenly noticed sothing.
"…!?"
They looked at Davis and Myria in shock because— they were no longer there!
Davis and Myria had disappeared like they were not here all this ti, vanishing without a sound. If it weren't for the flow of heaven and earth energy filling the void they left, they would be thinking if they were high on so pills!
