Davis looked at Empyrean Miller Skyrend.
The Venerable Elder of the Divine Sentinel Order was now cornered as the two death puppets blocked his path of retreat. Davis knew there was little Empyrean Miller Skyrend could do to escape. Although it did not look like he was going to escape, Davis didn't want to let him go as he knew this person certainly had the power to kill him during his tribulation.
He needed to get rid of him.
However, he also wondered if it was the right choice.
He needed a few people in the Heaven's Warriors Organizations to vouch for Clara, and since he killed the majority, leaving him alive would be useful to Clara.
'Crippling him would be optimal…'
Davis decided.
He took a step forward, intending to make a move, but stopped as he saw Empyrean Miller Skyrend take out a crimson paper, giving him recollection of what could be a fire-attributed talisman as it appeared to be similar to what Autarch tenoa used.
However, the mont it appeared, Davis's expression sank as he sensed its aura.
"This is a Peak-Level Empyrean Grade Offensive Talisman. If I use it, neither you nor I would remain alive."
Empyrean Miller Skyrend warned, his expression appearing to be at peace.
"Really? You guys prepared that far ahead to kill ?" Davis's raised his brows.
In response, Empyrean Miller Skyrend chuckled.
"In reality, you were even more of a threat, weren't you? There were also other Divergents to worry about, and now that they have all exposed themselves, there is not much suspense left. You killed every other Heaven's Warrior, and I don't have ti to wait for reinforcents, so I don't have any qualms in using it."
He glanced back, a hint of sadness glazing over his eyes before he returned his gaze.
"You even took control of their bodies to do your bidding. With this, I will be able to allow them to rest in peace."
Empyrean Miller Skyrend sent the flying talisman forward so that it would be as near to the Divine Emperor of Death as possible before he lit the talisman with his fiery energy. He stood in mid-air, utterly calm, while the talisman pulsated, unleashing terrifying undulations.
As he channeled his power into the powerful talisman and finally activated it, a blinding explosion of flas erupted from the talisman, engulfing the surrounding area in a fiery inferno. The undulations alone sent shockwaves, and space began to evaporate in its wake.
At that mont, his pupils fully reflected those flas, knowing that the Divine Emperor of Death couldn't escape its range. Its ridiculous power would even shatter the Minor Realm, leaving a crater as big as tens of cities and hastening its demise if it hit the realm core, so much less needs to be said about the Divine Emperor of Death surviving.
Fortunately, this region seed to be deserted. They had cleared it beforehand since it was their escape route. After all, they knew sothing was wrong with the involvent of the Heavenly Blight Hall. They didn't underestimate anyone, but the Divine Emperor of Death showed up with a much more powerful group, completely leaving them helpless.
He closed his eyes, welcoming this death.
The people in the distance could only see a sphere of light shining brighter than the sun above.
However, before the flas could spread, an eerie darkness swept across the landscape, swallowing the fire and leaving behind a desolate emptiness. The clash of fiery energy and pure darkness created a surreal and ominous spectacle where the fire was snuffed out before it could even expand.
There wasn't even a clash, so to speak.

Empyrean Miller Skyrend felt the advent of death energy. Still, he felt that it was useless as this talisman had crossed the layer's limit. The entire space would collapse and be pulled into the void, so survival was extrely difficult, even if one managed to withstand the terrifying heat of the flas that would burn anything in its path like a purgatory.
"…!"
However, his eyes shot wide open as he realized he was still alive. He was barely in ti to witness the pitch-black death energy encompassing the exploded talisman whole before it completely snuffed out of existence. The intense pressure and heat dissipated, leaving him in a state of shock and disbelief at his miraculous survival.
But he didn't care about his life, as his expression turned unsightly.
"Divine Emperor of Death!"
He roared, stepping forward when a spear of death energy pierced through his abdon and punctured through his dantian, causing him to co to a grinding halt. His eyes were wide as he glared, unable to believe that he had t his end so soon as the death energy quickly spread all around his body, extinguishing the life from him.
He was strung in place, and the death energy froze all of his ridians by inducing absolute fear into the nervous system. At the sa ti, even his soul sea was invaded, death energy encompassing his consciousness in its full force.
With the death energy spear receding from his abdon, his sight completely went black, and he fell all the way into the mountains below, crashing as he created a huge crater with his montum and mass.
In the air, Davis coldly looked at Empyrean Miller Skyrend. He turned his body, taking a step forward to chase Clara again, but his real intentions were to gain so distance from the crippled Empyrean Miller Skyrend and enter a mountain range that only had one or two directions to access so he could use the death puppets optimally in case a Heaven's Warrior tried to intrude.
However, the mont he took a step forward to dash, he staggered.
"Tch… making use more of my focus…"
Davis felt a splitting headache, but it stemd from the soul sea. His soul essence was pulsating in pain, and he was losing consciousness over the trendous use of focus to snuff out that dangerous talisman. He had to overuse it. Otherwise, he would've undoubtedly died.
If it weren't for the black-white stone's terrifying aspect of extinguishing any life form or energy in its path, he wouldn't have survived. Even his own Death Laws hadn't reached such a level yet, making him guess it was probably at the level of Quiddity. Furthermore, the black-white stone was strengthened through the use of Fallen Heaven, so even among the intent of Quiddity, it was at its very peak.
Davis could only wish he would reach such a level sooner and extinguish all of the problems he may face in the future.
