"A lot of others and I joined forces and forced them to abandon that path, cleaving the Divine and instilling the rightful immortal path that focuses on one's own strength rather than borrowing from the others. The world is still a miserable place, but it is much better than it was in the past."
"The little bit of peace and order you see around them realms were extrely hard to obtain. It took billions of years for a vast amount of powers to co to a consensus that they should not mistreat people as though it was their birthright. However, your existence threatens to break everything we built so far. Your existence threatens the very fabric of the universe. How could they not be angered? How could they not be alard and give everything to vanquish you?"
The Celestial Transcendent slowly and clearly explained before he righteously asked and sighed with a heavy breath.
"You are nothing but an outlier in the realm of Anarchic Divergents. You do not sin willfully, but we can't make an exception for you because you would only end up killing more Heaven's Warriors in retaliation. However, I see those lives just as valuable as yours or anyone else's. I will give you a year's worth of ti to enjoy the life you have been given by your mother. Release the hostages."
"…"
Davis's expression was beyond cold.
Although he could understand what the Celestial Transcendent was trying to say, those words didn't contain the slightest bit of understanding for him. He clenched his teeth, looking like he was about to have an outburst.
"Ridi-"
"Ridiculous!" Lea abruptly stood up and slamd the table, "What a righteous world you old people have lived for us to live in! So what if they all die? They all got it coming from them because they did sothing that they couldn't withstand. Isn't that the iron law of the cultivation world? What is so different when my husband does it!? Do you even hear yourself!?"
Lea scread at the Celestial Transcendent, her aura flaring up as she appeared to be incensed beyond compare. It shocked Davis, who turned to look at her. He couldn't believe his ears.
Still, he instantly returned to his gaze towards the Celestial Transcendent, ready to defend her. However, he saw that the Celestial Transcendent rely had an indifferent look on his face.
Lea's bosoms heaved as she appeared to take in a few deep breaths to calm herself down.
"If at all it is different, then it is that this world deserves it because my husband has always been benevolent and rciful. Even now, the foremost reason those heaven's maggots are still alive is not because he wanted to use them as a card in this negotiation but he doesn't wish for mass slaughter from the bottom of his heart. He doesn't do it unless he is forced to, so don't you dare make him do it. If he is pushed down that path, then I and many others will also gladly follow him. Make sure you end us in one fell swoop, or it's going to break the world you all built."
"…"
Davis was moved, although he thought she thought too much of him. He wasn't that benevolent.
Still, he guessed with this, the negotiation was over.
His Lea was too rude. He didn't think the mighty Celestial Transcendent would be willing to engage in a negotiation after that.
When he glanced at the Celestial Transcendent's face, which was increasingly turning solemn, he knew it was the end.
But suddenly, an uncontrollable grin escaped the Celestial Transcendent's mouth again. He even reclined on the seat and took a sip.
"Now that's more like it. If you can't even feel angry for yourself, then I can only wonder how desperate you are, and if you are desperate, your weakness will naturally show, which I can exploit, and I can end you once, and for all, but clearly, you are all confident in yourselves. But your woman getting angry for you and going unhinged is fairly unexpected. She's fiery and scary, just like soone I know. I respect that." He chuckled.
"Wha-"
Lea shuddered as her lips parted behind her veil. She felt lightheaded, feeling her cheeks go warm. Was this a test? She felt embarrassed more than angered now.
The Celestial Transcendent waved his hand, "Now then, state your demands, Divine Emperor of Death."
Davis raised a single finger, "Hundred years-"
"I must absolutely decline." The Celestial Transcendent quickly interrupted.
"What? I didn't even finish-"
"Much ti has not passed since you ca here, but you're nearly strong enough to kill Autarch Elluro Coldwing with that treasure. Your cultivation speed is terrifying even to , but beyond that, your prowess is also sothing to consider. Giving you a hundred years is like saying goodbye to hunting you down in the Upper Realms if you manage to survive in the Lower Realms. I can't take that chance."
"…"
Davis didn't know if he should be proud of receiving such an evacuation or curse his luck. A confident foe will always look down on his cultivation speed, but the Celestial Transcendent wasn't like that. The Supre One only gave him one year.
"Eighty years-"
"Nope."
"Fifty years-"
"No way."
"Twenty years."
"Too long."
"Ten years-"
"Can't do."
No matter the number of years he demanded, the Celestial Transcendent wasn't willing to give. The latter shook his head each ti as though unwilling to sell an item.
Davis clenched his teeth as he paused.
He didn't wish for it to be lower than ten years or otherwise, this negotiation gave him little benefits that he didn't need to plan for. Of course, to him, one year was also a lot of ti. He could have made imnse improvents during that ti, but it wasn't enough.
"Ten years is as far as I'm willing to gamble with in exchange for the hostages. Any lower, and you might as well start hunting down right now, as it makes no difference to . Perhaps there is room for more rules to be included, but that all depends on you, Celestial Transcendent."
The Celestial Transcendent remained silent as he kept staring at Davis. A while later, he finally opened his mouth.
