Myria's brain trembled.
Her brows squinted heavily, causing Davis to hold her gently.
Only around a minute later did Myria open her eyes, her gaze clear.
To Davis, it was obvious it took so ti to process the information she rembered out of nowhere. Nurous mysteries that lay in her mind must have been pieced together now. As for himself, he didn't feel any karmic burden hitting him after he revealed the na. It clearly told him Myria already knew about the next stage after the Empyrean Stage.
Myria touched his hand, which was on her shoulders.
"Thanks. I'm fine."
It made Davis nod and take back his hands. He carefully listened to what she was about to say.
"Precisely, it's no longer the Divine Exalt Stage since the practice of Faith Laws has been outlawed in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy. The Celestial Transcendent, Heaven's Warriors, and the Autarchs worked hard for billions of years to eradicate the unnerving control the Divine Exalts had over the majority of the population in all three layers of the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy. These Divine Exalts brought imnse hardship and suffering to those who worshiped them. Their worshipers could practically be called servants or, even worse, slaves who could be got rid of at their behest or the slightest inconvenience. To these Divine Exalts, their worshipers were no more than pawns."
"Of course, there also existed good Divine Exalts, but there were far few in between to be even given thought to. The majority were the Divine Exalts who wanted to take advantage of the population and gather faith energy to themselves, even going as far as to invoke crusades and go to war against other Divine Exalts for no reason other than to vie for more worshipers."

Davis obediently kept silent.
Myria nodded and continued, "Like him, there were many Divine Exalts who exploited their worshipers and followers. Those who wanted to be deities followed the Divine Exalt Stage, creating a Godskull in their Immortal Soul Vessel. This allowed them to gather faith from millions, billions, trillions, and quadrillions of people from all over the universe as long as they were worshiped. However, those who didn't want to follow godhood and were more than confident in their own strength followed the path of the Exalted Immortal or Exalted Empyrean Stage. This path didn't have a Godskull."
"Ah," Davis acted as though he realized, "So this what the Celestial Transcendent ant by that he cleaved the 'Divine'. So the Exalt Stage path is still practiced?"
"Yes," Myria nodded, "It's now called the Exalt Stage indeed."
"Back then, the Empyrean Stage was called the Empyrean Immortal Stage, so the next stage was naturally considered the Exalted Immortal Stage. Then, the Empyreans wanted to differentiate between the immortal stages and their current stage as the gap between them was too large, so it later beca known as the Empyrean Stage, and the subsequent stage ca to be known as the Exalted Empyrean Stage."
"However, the last recent change was when Exalted Empyreans were dissatisfied with 'Empyrean' in their na, so it is just called the Exalt Stage since Exalted Empyreans wanted to differentiate themselves from the Empyreans and remain superior. Now they're just called Exalts."

Davis blinked. He guessed people couldn't let go of their ego and pride for achieving matters regardless of age and era. Moreover, if one lived for so long, they would indeed want to make the situation or terms more comfortable for themselves.
Still, that's what made them human, or so he convinced himself.
"As for the Transcendent counterpart, they've always called themselves Primarchs, although it is still a stage that is being studied and researched to make it have as few flaws as possible. As for whether there was a breakthrough or not to the next stage, I don't know. I don't know much about the Empyrean Stage, much less the Exalt Stage. I've never even chanced upon an Exalt Grade Cultivation Manual. As far as I know, there are only as many as ninety-six such cultivation manuals in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy, all guarded by their respective powers. In these few million years, there may be a few more devised, but I doubt it."

Davis took a deep breath. That ant that there were at least ninety-six Exalt Stage cultivators in this universe, and considering the number of years that have passed, that number could very well be in the thousands or more.
His heart was heavy as he wondered what kind of monsters he would face in the future.
Nonetheless, he also figured out a few things.
Davis opened his mouth, "The Celestial Transcendent beca a Primarch billions of years ago, according to that old witch. But the Transcendent Cultivation Path had only beco widely popular five million years ago, enough to create a lot of people who widely practice it. From this, I could see that many Transcendent Path cultivation manuals were trash until a few million years ago."
"Indeed," Myria nodded at him, "In actuality, the Transcendent Path was banned by the Celestial Transcendent himself since it required the blood of the Seraphim Race to cultivate at that ti. So many people cultivating the Transcendent Path would lead to the extinction of the Seraphim Race, so the Celestial Transcendent banned it until ten million years ago when they found many new ways to cultivate it to the Primarch Stage."

"I don't think so." Myria shook her head, "The Transcendent Cultivation Path existed before the ti of the Celestial Transcendent, but it was the Celestial Transcendent who invented the Primarch Stage. "The Celestial Transcendent made so many efforts for the human race like a true ruler…" Davis sighed, "No wonder he doesn't want to break it even if it isn't my intention…"
"True, it was because of his intentions and initiative there is so semblance of order in the Lower Realms and upper layers, not to ntion less suffering compared to those bloody tis. Everyone respects him. If he had chosen the Divine Exalt path and continued to be a hero, then he would be the supre deity of the human race. However, he was one of those people who was vastly confident in themselves."
Myria's lips curled, "I also wanted to beco soone like him, beco a pillar for the human race who will heal and cure all kinds of injuries and ailnts. It was a pity that I was exposed as a Divergent. I had to escape for my life."
"Myria…" Davis looked at her with worry as he heard the longing in her voice.
However, Myria shook her head.
"It was a short dream." She leaned on his shoulder and wrapped her arms around his arm, "Now I want nothing more than to be with you."
"…" Davis's heart swelled with love.
He could say nothing other than to wrap his arms around her and hold her firmly with love and care.
