Davis brought Isabella back to their temporary hideout.
It couldn’t be exactly called a hideout since there was an undead lifeform perched on top of the mountain, its body still and its gaze nacing. In the span of a day, so lifeforms did fly above the Eternal Eclipse Bird, making gestures and cawing in provocation.
They were spirits mostly.
It was possible that they had settled near a spirit tribe, so the spirits were trying to get the Void Calamity to leave. They were trying to get it to leave by sacrificing themselves.
Then, there were also other strange bird-like calamities that wanted a fight with the Eternal Eclipse Bird.
However, the Eternal Eclipse Bird’s silver-black crescent eyes were so nacing that they didn’t try their luck.
The death aura emanating from it only sought to alert the spiritual lifeforms here that sothing was innately wrong with it. They didn’t dare go near, and since it seed peaceful and ignored them, none of them went out of their way to engage in battle.
They rested for a bit until Myria and Fairy Thunderblaze ca back, while Nadia’s doppelganger escorted them.
Fairy Thunderblaze noticed sothing amiss.
The once gloomy expressions of Tia and Isabella were bright and glowing. She knew they had sothing on their minds the past few days because Davis shouted at them, but now, that wasn’t the case anymore.
She instantly deduced what had happened, but didn’t comnt on it or think about it anymore.
Once they returned, it didn’t take them much ti for Davis and the others to set out once again.
Davis summoned the Eternal Eclipse Bird to him. It finally moved from the hill, dropping like an arrow as it descended thousands of kiloters before spreading its wings and maintaining its hovering point.
Nadia went into Davis’s soul. Her help was no longer required, and she didn’t stay outside for a reason.
Davis and the others jumped onto the Eternal Eclipse Bird’s head.
Tia felt exhilarated standing on top of a giant lifeform. It’s aura alone made a sweet fragrance of perspiration erge from her forehead. Its energy was also enormous, but it wasn’t directed at them, so the pressure was extrely low.
She could tell it was protecting them.
"Marvelous..."
"I still can’t believe this..."
Isabella and Myria uttered as they also appeared on its head. Although their expressions were tinged with excitent, they also couldn’t believe that Davis had truly tad a Primarch-level existence. He did it with his own strength, so they were feeling extrely proud than necessary.
They felt an additional sense of security within this forsaken world.
Finally, they turned to look at Fairy Thunderblaze, who was still standing in the mountain cave. She seed to be hesitant, causing Davis to smile.
"If you’re worried about getting the Lunar Shadow Bleeding Sickness, then you can travel by yourself on foot or enter Myria’s life ring. Your wish."
"Won’t you take them into your life ring?" Fairy Thunderblaze asked as though it was obvious.
Davis shook his head, "I have injected them with my antibodies. I drained the liquid nutrients from my blood, which is called plasma, which con-"
"I understand." Fairy Thunderblaze stopped him right then and there.
She was aware of Blood Laws to that level, so she didn’t want to hear him speak about the steps. She nodded, "I’ll go with you."
She jumped and hovered to the head of the massive bird.
Davis was slightly shocked at her decision. It was dangerous here, on the Eternal Eclipse Bird.
He wasn’t just having dual cultivation. He shared the antibodies with them through his bodily fluids and used life energy to replicate the division of cells in the antibodies. Hence, they were also now highly resistant to the Lunar Shadow Bleeding Sickness.
He still had to work on Tia’s immune resistance since he didn’t have dual cultivation with her. However, he did drain his blood using other thods to help her after returning. He guessed she would be fine since he had willed the bird not to flare its energy over them. Since he was the one controlling it using precise instructions, there was little fear of getting sick. Even if she got sick, her antibodies would only beco more resistant and fight back easily.
For the sickness to penetrate deeply, the Eternal Eclipse Bird’s darkness light would have to shine on their souls, which he had willed it not to do it no matter what, unless he willed otherwise. He figured he could stack multiple commands, and it wasn’t a problem for at least ten individual tasks simultaneously when he was flying.
Hence, he looked at Fairy Thunderblaze, wondering if she was putting up a brave facade.
She had personally seen how this disease develops. How grueso and grotesque it was.
"Are you not scared of the Lunar Shadow Bleeding Sickness? All it takes is one glow of its dark light, and it will eventually appear."
"You are here, and I still have my favors to save . Speaking of which," Fairy Thunderblaze touched down and fondly caressed the bird’s head. Her hand looked like an ant in comparison.
"This is mine now." She turned to gaze at him, her eyes gleaming with ambition, "I have many matters already planned for it, and you’re going to help because I will use the big favor from exchanging the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill. Surely, you would at least help obtain fifty Primarch Grade-level worth of treasures using this Eternal Eclipse Bird for this favor alone, right?"
Davis’s expression twitched, "Hmm... I was wondering when you were going to make your move greedily. I expected this to happen, but don’t you think fifty Primarch-level resources are way above the value of a big favor? The Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill would at least be worth three Primarch Grade resources."
"What you’re asking- it’s more on the level of huge favor that I owe you."
"That’s right." Isabella echoed, frowning, "You’re asking way too much, Zenova. Even I can’t tolerate this."
Fairy Thunderblaze appeared oddly calm, "That would be the case if you were to return the favor sooner. It would’ve been extrely cheaper, but now-"
Her lips curled into a faint smile, "How can one not understand the concept of interest?"
Davis blinked, "It’s only a decade. How could the interest be so high?"
"The rate of interest doesn’t co from the passage of ti but from your potential. I bet on your potential and here we are-"
Fairy Thunderblaze caressed the dark fur of the Eternal Eclipse Bird one last ti before she stood up. Her eyes squinted, "- an optimal ti to reap the interests, even though I still think it’s too soon to reap the benefits. After all, I believe you can achieve so much more after you beco an Exalt, but alternatively, this secret realm might never open again, and this will be our last chance to obtain a lot of Primarch Grade resources in the entire universe."
"..."
Davis considered for a few monts. Myria and the others looked like they were finally done with her.
However, Davis nodded, "Fine, but limit your greed to the value of thirty Mid-Level Primarch Grade resources. This ans you can borrow the Eternal Eclipse Bird for thirty days and obtain resources worth thirty Mid-Level Primarch Grade resources. Once either one of the conditions is fulfilled, I will have returned the big favor I owe you."
"You’re always reasonable. I adore it." Fairy Thunderblaze nodded, the beating of her heart turning normal from erratic as she cald.
"Not yet. I still have another condition. I will not give you the death puppet to help you until we pick up Shirley and my other wives and return safely."
"Naturally." Fairy Thunderblaze didn’t seem to have any problem with it.
She had no intentions to throw him around. She knew she wasn’t capable and was further aware that with a single darkness blast from the Eternal Eclipse Bird, her body would be ripped to shreds right now. Yet strangely, she also had the confidence he wouldn’t do it, allowing her to be daring.
She added, "Don’t be smart with and say that I have to rent you using the huge favor after saving them. You co with the bird. I need you to focus on , focus on my desires for a month."
"Damn..." Davis’s lips curled, "You saw through that one well."
But he blinked as he realized, wondering if she had worded that right, since it sounded quite amorous.
Regardless, he knew Fairy Thunderblaze wasn’t the one to talk dirty. She was a miser in his heart. Or rather, he knew she was incredibly possessive, whether it was resources or her personnel. Otherwise, he had an inkling she would’ve fallen to his charms long ago.
’Alright... I’m getting ahead of myself after gaining the Eternal Eclipse Bird...’ Davis reminded himself not to be over-confident nine tis in his mind and set off.
The Eternal Eclipse Bird was suspended before the mountain like the world was frozen in place. It didn’t need to flap its wings just to hover, but as it moved, it flapped its wings and took off into the skies.
Davis willed it to fly in the direction of the route using the map and maintained an altitude that wasn’t offensive to the territorial lifeforms below as far as he had seen and could guess. The dense air brushed against their faces, making them wobble and forcing air into their mouths as it made their cheeks flap.
He instantly willed the Eternal Eclipse Bird to erect a barrier, allowing them to travel freely.
"..."
Fairy Thunderblaze smoothed out the edges of her hair.
Even though the air was cold, she still felt her face burn as she also realized that she had worded it wrong. What she wanted to be a command sounded like a jealous lover’s demand, greatly embarrassing her.
The wind was cold yet soothing, causing Tia and the others to travel to the edge and look down to see the vast terrain quickly disappear from their view, replaced with new scenic landscapes. They were so much faster and felt like they would arrive within a day if they t with no problems, even though problems were lying around everywhere, even in the air, as they could see calamities one after another every twenty or thirty minutes.
