After another round of passionate exchange with Shirley, the two of them got out and looked at the fantastic scenery created by the soft golden lights of the Translucent Golden Parasol Trees that surrounded them.
It low-key created a festive atmosphere that kept up one’s spirits.
It helped Shirley keep her emotions from bursting out.
Shirley held Davis’s arm from the side, "For the past three months, I haven’t left this area. I was tired..."
"Not a problem, my love." Davis stroked her head using his right hand with fondness, "You should take so rest when you feel like it. It’s not like we’re in a race with other supre geniuses. In fact, we’re just walking while they’re still trying to catch up to us."
"Hehe~" Shirley’s cheeks flushed as she liked what he said. It was apt.
The underlying problem of her lovesickness was Davis’s absence. No amount of socializing could fix her mindset or her heart. But now that he was here, she was completely refreshed and active, wanting to adventure with him.
As soon as they ca out of the makeshift building, Shirley looked around before pointing at the wooden house that she and the others had built.
"They must be inside. We all built it using the Translucent Golden Parasol Tree. I researched the soil around this area and found that these trees appeared because there was once a Divine Phoenix that died here long ago, extrely long ago. I suspect it had been at the Empyrean Beast Stage!"
Shirley exclaid, causing Davis to be surprised but nod.
"It’s possible. During our journey, we also found strange spaces. For example, in a space-attributed High-Level Shard Region, there were spatial voids that had unknown inheritances. It is dangerous to enter them as there’s a possibility one may never return from it again. It is possible that these inheritances ca from human ancestors who once explored these regions when this shard world opened billions of years ago."
Shirley’s eyes went wide, "I also heard rumors that so geniuses have found such inheritances. It really is strange... I didn’t manage to encounter any of it though..."
She didn’t find the latter matter strange. There was no way they could cover everything in this secret realm since it was ridiculously vast.
Davis nodded, "So, I have a theory that explains why there are outsiders who can enter the Empyrean Stage. I think once enough ti passes after you get stuck in this dinsion, you will be recognized as half-a-denizen of the dinsion and could probably break through. The suppression on one’s cultivation will no longer be active."
"Ohh..." Shirley could imagine.
However, it also made her tremble, "That ans... if we could not make it out in ti, we would be stuck here for an eternity...?"
"That should be the case." Davis nodded.
She looked at him with an agape mouth, "Then we should leave early."
"Absolutely," Davis nodded, "Since we’re here, since I’m here, I suspect the lifespan of this secret realm’s opening is already halved or even worse. From seventy years, it must’ve dropped to thirty-five years or less. We must gather everyone together before setting up a base near a dinsional vortex. Then we can roam around to harvest, and when it seems like the dinsional vortex is going to collapse soon, we’ll quickly gather and retreat early."
"That’s a good plan." Shirley nodded thrice, regaining her mind.
She couldn’t help but smile, thinking everything would be alright as long as her darling was by her side.
They were in front of the wooden house, and she took a step forward, reaching out her hand to open it and bring Davis inside.
"Shirley~" Isabella and the others called out with joy.
They were seated on the couch by the fireplace that had the wood harvested from the Translucent Golden Parasol Tree, emanating a peculiar yet aromatic fragrance that made phoenixes joyful.
"Elder sister! Tia! Myria! Nadia!"
Shirley echoed, appearing overjoyed. She left Davis’s side and jumped over to them without any restraint.
Davis couldn’t help but smile happily as he saw this scene. The scene of a reunion never fails to make him happy.
He turned to look at the other side and saw Flarose and Frostrose in their human forms. They had grown even more srizing than the last ti he had seen them. Their auras were regal, and their hair, that were crimson and white respectively, grew strands of radiant gold and cobalt blue individually.
Their gaze locked, and he walked towards them with a smile.
"Flarose, Frostrose. Congratulations on becoming Grand Saint Magical Beasts while still managing to retain the compatibility of your powers. It is no ordinary feat."
His acknowledging words instantly cast a radiant charm on their faces as they smiled.
"Indeed," Flarose nodded, "Shirley worked so hard to figure out how we can retain our compatibility. She started researching the records she got from the Skytune Clan, collected strange Primarch Grade resources that shouldn’t fit our blood, and finally used the flas of the Translucent Golden Parasol Trees to nurture our bloodline to beco more oriented towards the yin and yang aspects."
"Through a light-yang attribute treasure and a light-yin attribute treasure, she augnted our bloodline and had us evolve here. Hence, we managed to beco a Solar Emberwing Phoenix and a Lunar Frostwing Phoenix, two ancient species that stem from the Fire Phoenix and Ice Phoenix, respectively."
"Such species are extinct in this era, but through our inherited mories, we can vaguely rember a bit of our glory. It was extrely short-lived as the Infernal Sunfire Crow race ended us. Naturally, the Infernal Sunfire Crow also didn’t get to live a lot since their yang was botched, leaving them with very few offspring, causing them to die out eventually..."
The two of them had lodious voices that made Davis fall into a trance as he kept listening without putting up a guard.
He nodded, thinking it was as expected of a solar phoenix and a lunar phoenix. The charm they commanded was not greater than that of a Seven-Colored Phoenix, but with their innate fires enhanced towards their respective attribute instead of the seven attributes of a Seven-Colored Phoenix, they were much more powerful than a Seven-Colored Phoenix.
As for the Infernal Sunfire Crow race, he recalled that they had the strongest flas in the ranks of the Grand Saint Magical Beast species. Soaren was a variant of this species called the Infernal Devilfla Crow. It was a completely different path of progression than the Golden Crow to the Inferno Goldsky Crow.
He didn’t find it strange that the strongest fla beast bird race had enmity with the Solar Emberwing Phoenix race and Lunar Frostwing Phoenix race.
It was a thing of the past.
His lips curled, "Thankfully, I don’t have to worry about your races trying to steal you two since they don’t exist. The only worry is your Emperor-Tier traits will even want the Seven-Colored- no, the Prismatic Soul Phoenix Race wanting you two."
"Hehe~" Flarose giggled, and Frostrose smiled.
The two of them exchanged glances, knowing that their ho was with Shirley. They weren’t going anywhere, but for so reason, they couldn’t bring themselves to say it to Davis. Their eyes also couldn’t keep up with his gaze for more than a few seconds.
Davis exchanged so pleasantries, complinting their new appearances, before he turned to look at the fox fey who sat silently at a corner, looking like she had no part in this family reunion.
"You are..." He started as though he didn’t know.
"She is...!" Shirley instantly appeared from the side like she had the ability to teleport and made the fox fey stand up.
"She is my best friend! Dewzai! I’m sure you can recognize her from the Candidacy."
"Oh, Dewzai..." Davis knew she didn’t have a family na since she was one of the inheritors.
He cupped his hands politely, "I have seen the adventures you have shared with Shirley and helped her many tis. You have my gratitude for keeping her company while I was away."
"..." Dewzai was apprehensive.
She didn’t know what to say to a calamity. Now that he stood before her with only half a ter separating them, she could instinctively feel the weight behind his aura. It was way above supre geniuses, even above Shirley, whom practically surpassed her in every regard. This was sothing she couldn’t fathom, much less the fact that her husband was many tis more powerful.
