"Four Mid-Level Primarch Grade resources!"
The dragon-kirin appeared to be excitedly echoing.
For an Empyrean Grade Treasure that was a cursed artifact no one wanted, three Mid-Level Primarch Grade resources were extrely high. Who would buy it?
Those who wanted to buy it are either stupid or Divergent! They would be exposing their location and would be hunted down!
Therefore, he expected the only one who would bid would be the Divine Emperor of Death, who was considered invincible in the sa realm! It happened as he expected, but he didn’t expect the Heaven’s Warriors to team up together, making him even more excited.
"Four."
Davis’s voice echoed again coldly. Inside Unit 12, his lips curled in derision.
A bidding war?
Shirley and the others also smiled.
"Five!" That Heaven’s Warrior shouted.
"One High-Level Primarch Grade resource."
Davis calmly raised the stakes, causing countless hearts to shake.
The Heaven’s Warrior’s expression twisted. He looked around, looking at the other Heaven’s Warriors. They could still afford so Mid-Level Primarch Grade resources, but High-Level Primarch Grade resources? They were extrely difficult to harvest. A single slip-up would instantly end their lives.
Hence, they didn’t know how many they had with each other.
"One High-Level Primarch Grade resource goes for once!"
The dragon-kirin started finishing up since he felt it might not increase anymore, "One High-Level Primarch Grade resource goes for twice!"
"One High-Level Primar-"
"Two! Two High-Level Primarch Grade resources!" That Heaven’s Warrior’s expression looked unsightly.
"Two High-Level and four Mid-Level Primarch Grade resources."
Davis’s voice echoed once again without any change in emotion.
"Two High-Level and five Mid-Level Primarch..." That Heaven’s Warrior was gasping for breath, his expression furious, "Grade resources..."
It was as though he were at the end of the line. He could only afford one more High-Level Primarch Grade resource. His heart clenched, and he waited for that wretched voice to echo, but it didn’t appear, making him hear the voice of the auction host.
"-goes twice!"
"Two High-Level and five Mid-Level Primarch Grade resources goes thrice! This gentleman here won the cursed artifact. Everyone, please congratulate him. The Heaven’s Warriors once again saved the day using their undying coffers!"
The dragon-kirin laughed, raised his hands, and clapped his hands, but anyone could feel the mockery in his tone as though he hated them on a personal level.
On the other hand, the auction hall was silent.
That Heaven’s Warriors seemingly realized sothing.
"Heh~ Thanks for buying for . I’ll await your presence sowhere after so ti. After all, one cannot go against the rules of the auction. Let’s be fair and civil."
Davis’s voice echoed once again. It appeared to suppress so laughter, nearly making a few people spit out the refreshnts they had.
The poor Heaven’s Warriors had directly fallen for a classic trap. If they refused to pay, they would be kicked out of the auction by the collective will of the people here.
"Uh... I forgot to say, but since this treasure is cursed, it will be released once the auction is over so as to avoid mishaps. Please await the end of the auction before you can have it. Of course, we will make preparations to safely deliver it to you so that no one can track you. You can choose amongst yourselves who to receive it."
The Heaven’s Warriors were tense, but once they heard the auction host’s words, they relaxed.
They felt this was good too. As long as they can keep an eye on the cursed artifact and get it out of here in a concealed manner, it shouldn’t be a problem even if they were to et their demise in the Divine Emperor of Death’s hands.
"Is that fine?" Tia stood up, appearing beside Davis, "Will they not escape? Should I divine who would be the one to get it?"
"No need."
Davis said with a shrug.
"Okay~" Tia thought for a mont before she nodded, knowing Davis had his thods.
Indeed, Davis had his thods, but he didn’t expect to see sothing like that. Reflected in his eyes was the cursed artifact in the shape of a jade green fan with black miasma coming out of it. However, in his Karmic Sight, he was seeing sothing in addition to it.
Nurous black threads spread out from the cursed artifact, spreading across the auction hall and ingraining themselves in one’s karma. There were a few threads that were much more sinister, as though they had greater compatibility with the treasure.
’Is it calling out to them or cursing them...?’
Davis couldn’t tell from the VIP unit. His gaze was on the black thread that affixed itself to a certain person on the common seat. They wore a cloak, so their features couldn’t be seen, but considering how sinister the thread was, Davis wondered if it was the seller who had prolonged contact with the cursed artifact or soone who had greater compatibility with it.
’A Wind Divergent...?’ Davis narrowed his eyes as he raised his shoulders and shrugged.
The black thread also tried to make contact with him, but he severed it with the previous shrug, not wanting to be cursed by so unknown object while being with his family.
If it were just him, he wouldn’t have hesitated to investigate, but right now, he got the feeling it was dangerous.
Regardless, the black thread tried to make contact with him again until the cursed artifact was sealed inside a container and stored sowhere hidden. The black threads collapsed by themselves, but the sinister ones refused to give out, dispersing slowly, almost as though they were fated.
Davis took in a deep breath, imagining that there could be so many different and horrifying things outside that he hadn’t seen yet.
After this fiasco, Davis didn’t bid on anything else.
The rest of the items didn’t interest him. There were plenty of treasure maps and inheritances, but he wasn’t in the mood to get one, and the inheritances that were at Empyrean Grade were too low-quality for him.
Finally, the last item of the auction was placed on top of the stage.
The mont Davis laid his gaze on it, his eyes reeled as he stood up! His perception had triggered!
