Once he was done thinking, Davis decided to act quickly.
He returned to Unit 12 and inford them of the change of plans without discussing the danger. No one went against his wishes. Shirley and the others also wanted to see Evelynn, their big sister, whom they missed badly, not to ntion their new sister, Fairy Xiu Juili, who appeared to have professed her affection to Davis after he ntioned his interest in her.
He then looked at Tia, asking her if she wanted to et with a karmic serpent.
"Interesting..." Tia mumbled as she contemplated before nodding brightly.
"I’ll et her."
"Good." Davis patted her head before he smirked, "Now let’s make so thread."
"Ah..."
Tia went speechless as her lips gaped.
She knew she would eventually be weaving threads around the spindle when she got back ho, acting like a destitute tailor. However, she didn’t think she should start now. Not only was it exhausting, but it also consud her soul essence.
It wasn’t good. She occasionally rested for three days just because she had woven the threads once.
Davis’s smile turned evil, "You like to act all tough, don’t you? Now weave for , hehe..."
"..." Tia trembled.
In the end, she returned to her room with a spindle in her hand, generating threads using her soul essence and soul force while expending her psyche at a horrifying rate. She barely created a thread that was ten centiters long before her eyes started drooping. At fifteen centiters, her lips turned dry, and dark bags started appearing around her eyes.
At eighteen centiters, she fainted, falling over Davis’s shoulder.
Davis began healing her soul essence as he used life energy on her. His palm beca shrouded in a pure white light, and it descended into her head and surged into her soul sea like a dense white fog. Her weakened soul rippled as it t the fog and brightened.
Tia’s eyes flickered open, but she closed and smiled lightly, "I guess eighteen centiters is my limit~"
"..."
Davis went speechless. He shook, chuckling softly, "Should we try a soul bulging pill to try and see if you can accommodate more and work hard to produce a thread of life?"
Tia couldn’t help but blush as her eyes darted. In the end, she couldn’t say anything as she pushed her palms against her face. She squealed, inwardly blaming him for her inability to return the naughty joke.
"Alright, sleep. I’ll take you back to Evelynn’s side after you et with the karmic serpent."
"Mhm~"
Tia slept in his embrace peacefully. She didn’t know how much ti had passed, but she had a dream. A dream where she went on to adventure alone with Davis. Everything was so good, and they were about to beco intimate when, abruptly, a sense of danger erupted within her.
Her purple eyes shot wide open, and she looked at the skies that contained a multitude of suns and moons. She sat up and quickly looked towards the source of danger, ignoring that she was on a bed on top of a big, dark bird.
A twenty-thousand-ter giant hovered in the air in the middle of the flatlands, its form like a blasphemous god that had descended to judge all beings. Four radiant wings unfurled from its back, each feather glowing like a shard of the first sunrise. The light pouring from its body was not warm. It rather felt suffocating.
It was none other than the False Dawn Harbinger, a Realm Calamity that they tried their best to avoid!
However, it remained still in the skies even while gazing with a furious and malevolent intent.
The Eternal Eclipse Bird directly flew over the edge of its territory. However, it made no move for Davis stood at the edge of the wing and held a jade green fan. A thick, black fog emanated from it. It seed out of this world, filled with a sinister vibe.
Looking at it, the False Dawn Harbinger remained in the sky, not coming closer.
Davis raised the Cursed Artifact and looked at it, his brows furrowing.
’Calamities are able to sense the danger this Cursed Artifact possesses?’ He asked himself.
Davis had taken it out, intending to kill the False Dawn Harbinger with the Cursed Artifact, but with it not daring to co closer, he had second thoughts. If the Malevolent Demon Fan was used for a third ti, then the consequences were extrely severe. It would not only instantly shred him to pieces, but it might also affect the ones around him.
Even using it now for the second ti might affect the surroundings, so he was about to jump from the Eternal Eclipse Bird and attack, but the False Dawn Harbinger stayed away.
It was extrely peculiar. He used the Eternal Eclipse Bird’s senses and sensed an ominous aura, but it still didn’t scare him. Ultimately, he was using his own senses to see through the Eternal Eclipse Bird’s Ghost Will, so he couldn’t figure anything out about its horrifying nature.
Regardless, while he was considering things, they had already left the False Dawn Harbinger’s territory.
Shirley and the others heaved a sigh of relief. Her heart was in her throat to sense a Primarch-level existence coming at them, only to stop.
anwhile, Dewzai, Flarose, and Frostrose were still reeling in shock that Davis had tad a dead Void Calamity! He had successfully brought the Level Two Primarch Stage Lifeform, the Eternal Eclipse Bird, under his control!
The twins, in particular, were deeply afraid since they could sense soul suppression from this Void Calamity. Its darkness was suppressing their nirvanic flas, but not so much since they were already Great Saint Beasts.
Davis kept the cursed artifact inside and walked back to the bird’s back amidst the winds, trying to topple him off the giant avian beast.
Tia saw that there was no danger. She glanced at Davis’s hand, which had held the Cursed Artifact a mont ago, before she heaved a sigh of relief, "I think it is better not to use it."
"Using it is not good, but not using it will lead to a greater calamity. That False Dawn Harbinger was extrely furious with us, so it wouldn’t have let us leave even with the Eternal Eclipse Bird’s might, and we’re in a hurry..."
Davis explained, and Tia nodded, not arguing. She moved on, "What happened? Didn’t we need to go see the karmic serpent?" She asked weakly.
Davis blinked, "Tia, you already t with her."
"Ah?" Tia turned stupefied. Why didn’t she rember?
Davis smiled. He reached out his hand, caressing her head, "Don’t worry. You were extrely exhausted after you worked so hard on the spindle. It’s normal to forget so mories of what happened during this ti. Try to recall what happened, but don’t push yourself now..."
"..." Tia still felt dizzy.
If it weren’t for the danger she sensed as a Mystic Diviner, she wouldn’t have awakened. Still, she rubbed her head, contemplating whether the danger was because of the False Dawn Harbinger or the Cursed Artifact. She wondered if the sense of danger erupted when the cursed artifact was taken out and not when the group had entered the False Dawn Harbinger’s range.
After all, she would sense most unconcealed dangers before they could erupt.
