"We’ll leave in five minutes." A low growl emanated from soone who was still crunching on the piece of at, "Get ready. Our investigations so far have led to no conclusive evidence. So far, we have received reports stating that Young Master Alr Spacewill might’ve fought with the Atlas Family and the Nebula Tearing Rat Clan. These two are the most suspicious out of several others, as they possess the collective strength to trap Young Master. One of them might’ve targeted him when he decided to sneak out of the group."
"Is that so?" Another one harrumphed, "What are the chances that it’s internal strife of our Void Reflection Palace? After all, Young Master Alr Spacewill is said to have committed suicide in strange circumstances as though soone had hypnotized him."
"Awudan, you’re insolent. Apologize right now."
"Praise the Void Reflection Deity!" Awudan raised both of his hands high up into the air and held his palms flat as though looking at a reflection of himself in the mirror above. His purple eyes ca into view, and the gaze couldn’t be any more zealous.
"I ant no disrespect to our deity, but there are those who hold heretical ambitions. I rely suspect that it must be done by one of them, but if it’s not, I’m grateful for the benevolent life our deity bestowed upon all of us, allowing us to remain free of worries and remain happy at the re ntion of his glorious title."
Everyone nodded and smiled as though they agreed with him, their gaze becoming much more friendly.
"..." This made Davis want to vomit on them.
’These idiots are zealous enough to kill themselves to retrieve the treasure, alright...’ He didn’t doubt it anymore.
"Alright, let’s search for a way to the Luminous Rage Shard Region. If you et trouble, don’t hesitate."
They had finished eating and left in different directions; every single one of them.
Their actions made Davis frown. As Peak-Level Empyreans, he imagined that they would find a new route in two or three days as long as they could avoid Primarch Stage lifeforms. He thought for a mont, wondering whom he should target first and how he should deal with them.
’Lure a Primarch Stage Void Calamity to them?’
Davis wondered, but with them having separated, he didn’t know if it would alert the others. He guessed they would most likely be alerted since they’re here for a suicide mission, and their deaths would be relayed in so form of item like life tablets.
"..." Davis went deep into thought before he subconsciously followed the second-easiest prey out of them all.
The easiest prey directly went flying towards an open terrain, so Davis felt that it could cause him to be exposed. The second-easiest prey went into the forest that was aligned with the crevice of the current landmass. It seed like he was trying to get to the edge in order to find a pathway to the Luminous Rage Shard Region, making Davis nearly laugh.
He didn’t find it strange that they wanted to head to the Luminous Rage Shard Region since the gathering was still held there. The marketplace and auction were still running, except the goods sold were no longer of the quality he had seen in the past few days.
Of course, a good treasure might pop up suddenly since the Shard World was vast, and it takes ti for people to get there, so he left Houdini Terssky, Filang Bach, and Lanbi Firefall in charge of procuring resources for the Davis Family.
He had given them ten Low-Level Primarch Grade resources, five Mid-Level Primarch Grade resources, and one High-Level Primarch Grade resource each.
As for whether they would betray him or not, Davis couldn’t be bothered when he had this pressing matter to deal with. They were already in the sa boat since they helped him nurous tis, so the chances of betraying him and running off with the treasures were very less.
Nonetheless, since the gathering was still held, it made sense for this group of zealous Empyrean to go there and thoroughly investigate. By that ti, Davis was sure that they would pinpoint him as the robber since he wore the Temporal Voidplane Ring with no intention to hide it.
He had actually been hoping to destroy Alr Spacewill’s group, but they had never shown their faces to him, so he guessed there was a chance that they hadn’t actually spotted him yet, still searching for the remains of their dead Young Master.
However, Davis wasn’t foolish enough to believe that he would not be found. He had also released nurous prisoners from the Temporal Voidplane Ring. Alr Spacewill’s group could surely recognize them and learn that the Divine Emperor of Death had released them. It wasn’t difficult to learn at all.
Davis had never thought he would be able to escape the Void Reflection Palace’s gaze. He rely wanted to stall for ti, not giving them the initiative.
’Are there really only eight of them...?’
Davis’s brows furrowed since he had learned the Starry Corps consists of hundreds of Empyreans. Of course, they were the most zealous and the elite of all Empyreans in the Void Reflection Palace, so they might be valuable to a degree, but since their task was to retrieve the Temporal Voidplane Ring, he felt like the number here was small.
He imagined that they most likely had another group searching for a way on the western side, but that would have them go through the dangerous Mid-Level Primarch Stage Realm Calamities he had seen in the very beginning when entering the Shard Continent for the first ti.
’Or they might’ve gone into the High-Level Shard Regions, but traversing it is extrely difficult since it would take months, but I doubt they have that much ti with them...’
Heim Mavigglain had warned that they could only last a month or two. If the Starry Corp really did enter the Shard Regions, then they would be out of ti before they could make it to the Luminous Rage Shard Region. However, getting to the fortress in the Wrathful Aeons Shard Region was slightly possible with their speed.
But Davis wasn’t in any hurry to return. The fortress was nearly impregnable, and Evelynn was there. Even if the other Starry Corps group was currently making their way towards the fortress, which was not possible since they shouldn’t be aware of him yet, they shouldn’t arrive until it was a month later.
That was the disadvantage of traveling through Shard Regions. Hence, even if there is danger, everyone prefers traveling through the Shard Continent.
Davis hovered above the prey, his gaze sharpening as he decided to act.
