Fairy Thunderblaze was stunned a little. She didn't expect a philosophical answer, but expected to engage in teasing as she felt like she had again revealed her thoughts a bit out of frustration.
She shook her head, "Why do you think it's evil for you to claim the defeated? Why do you wait until sothing bad happens or hostility is shown before you make a move? Wouldn't that just put you at a disadvantage? If I were you, I'd subdue first and then talk about right or wrong, whether to spare or kill."
Davis frowned, "Isn't that just the difference in our way of reacting to strangers? I'd also react like that to stronger threats. Why does that need contemplation? I act in a way that brings more joy and could make my heart remain at peace. Needless battles are the ones that need to be avoided. It is simply a waste of ti and energy."

Fairy Thunderblaze knew it was coming and stared at him. She clenched her fists, "Because I respect you."

Davis was stunned. He looked around, wondering if so people had heard it, and was laughing. He wanted to complain. Fairy Thunderblaze was always looking to rival him. Her pride, aloofness, and innate imperial outlook never made her look at other n with respect before, not even him.
So when did this tone change?
Fairy Thunderblaze forced the feeling of embarrassnt back as her bosoms rose and fell. Scarlet divine flas flickered around her as she struggled to remain steady. Her black eyes shone crimson, which seed to be torn between frustration and a feeling of wanting to be understood.
"Fool, you could do so much more," she burst out, her tone trembling with passion that even she didn't seem to realize she was exuding, "If only you weren't weighed down by those emotions and senseless values, by those attachnts- by your wives!"
Her words blazed through the quiet air like a strike of lightning.
Davis's expression stilled. His smile faded as he silently studied her, yet Fairy Thunderblaze didn't stop.
"You are a man whom I could never compare with. You could've already transcended the bounds of the world. You could've been a being no one could reach, not even the Supre One! Yet, every ti I see you, every ti you hang around them and suppress yourself for their sake, I feel like I'm watching a sun dim its own radiance to avoid burning those standing too close."
She clenched her hands tighter until her knuckles whitened, her voice softening but not losing its fervor.
"You think I'm arrogant, don't you? That I look down on everyone beneath , and you're absolutely right. I was born believing power alone defines worth. Family bond ant nothing. My father hamred that into from childhood, and the surroundings made realize that his teachings couldn't be anymore truer. But you… you're different. Her lips trembled as she looked away, her lush black hair swaying with the wind that suddenly picked up between them.
"…I can't help but think you're shackled. You care too much. You hesitate too much. You hold back too much."
Her words echoed softly, half like a confession and the other half like an accusation.
For a mont, Davis said nothing. The air between them rippled faintly.
Then he slowly exhaled and t her gaze solemnly, "I have no wish to stand at the apex alone. I wish to be surrounded by those who love and respect , not fear . In fact, the latter is extre easy to achieve…"
He produced a wry smile, indicating that it is one of the easiest paths to take to supremacy.
"It's not about easy or hard. It's about being safe and protecting yourself foremost." Fairy Thunderblaze heaved a huge breath as she cald herself down.
"Forge it. I knew talking about this was useless to you. I can't convince you since your Will is already entrenched in that state. I'll have to target you when it has broken."
Davis looked speechless, "Why do you even care?"
"I don't know." Fairy Thunderblaze barely contained herself as she argued, "Sothing about you just doesn't make feel like myself, and I hate it!"
Saying that, she turned around, not bothering to talk anymore.
"I think you just want to bring down to your level and laugh at , finally saying 'look, you're no different…', no?"
Davis asked loudly.
However, he received no answer. It made his heart feel strange.
Rioxys Plu blinked at the two of them as her gaze went back and forth.
They seed to be muttering sothing under their breaths. She couldn't understand what was going on and finally looked at the Eternal Eclipse Bird, whose ghost Will sentience also looked clueless.
