Davis rose, suppressing the lingering charm that clung to his senses like a fog of perfu. He stabilized his breathing, circulating reincarnation energy to keep his mind clear. The branches stretching below quivered faintly to his presence as though calling for him to co back.

Davis clicked his tongue. He actually felt pitiful for this plant lifeform, wanting to go back and settle into that lotus position where he was a blood slave. The charm it contained was too severe, capable of easily influencing Immortal Emperors.
Regardless, he inwardly sneered and went to pluck the fruit.
The last fruit lood before him, tall as a door, its vertical form gently pulsating with crimson luminescence. Life energy churned inside it like a contained storm. After taking an even closer look, Davis realized that it looked like a blood packet that is used for blood infusion back in the world.
With a light chuckle, he raised his hand and rubbed his temple, planning the next course of action.
Davis wrapped his soul force in life energy and extended it to pacify the plant lifeform.
"Stop…"
A voice echoed from above the ground. It was none other than Lady Thunderwraith.
"Even you are chard in these eleven months…"
Davis sighed as he turned to look up. With a wave of his hand, he sent reincarnation energy flying, targeting and erasing the charm that took root in her soul.
"Stop…" She said again, "You need to dress up."

Davis froze. Only then did he rember that he was buck naked with so remnant flesh armor still hanging over him.
He coughed and summoned new purple robes from his spatial ring, draping them over him in an instant.
"Naturally, I noticed its charm effect, so I didn't near it…" Lady Thunderwraith said with a cold voice, "I didn't think you could die since you were said to be undying. However, I didn't expect you to hide in the plant lifeform itself. You're truly daring… how did you not get digested?"

Davis worked on retrieving the fruit.

Now that the Archon had left, it was trying to retaliate instinctively. However, Davis's life energy pacification confused it. Moreover, Davis's aura and energy were also sothing it was fond of.
The tremor eventually faded.
Only then did Davis apply pressure. His soul force enveloped the stem, acting as a buffer so that no physical vibration traveled outward. Inch by inch, the stem separated from the branch, dissolving into mist under his controlled extraction thod.
The fruit detached without a sound.

Davis instantly sealed it inside a jade container as the fruit visibly shrank in size, but not really, as it was entering a vast space inside.
So jade containers' space was also expansive through the usage of spatial runes. Big items could also be stored and sealed inside. Regardless, Davis knew this jade container wouldn't fit in any of his spatial rings or even the Temporal Voidplane Ring since it was a True Deity item.
Worse, it couldn't even be taken to the Upper Realms if he wasn't wrong.
He knew True Deity hegemons were not capable of residing in the Upper Realms unless it was those eighteen Upper Realm Realm Masters and a few other special individuals. Therefore, he guessed he could only take it to the Greater Realm or try taking it to the Upper Realms and try his luck.
After all, lifeforms and resources that lack souls might not follow the sa layer limit restrictions.
Davis then sealed the jade container carefully and perford so sealing runes on it to keep the essence from fading away. Still, there was so essence that leaked out bit by bit. After all, this jade container wasn't even Exalt Grade, much less True Deity Grade. This Empyrean Grade Jade Container was sothing obtained from other loot.
Nonetheless, within a few centuries, the True Deity resource would lose one percent of its potency, which ans a great deal to those alchemists who expect the best, and within a hundred thousand years, nearly ten percent of its potency would be gone.
This newly matured True Deity Grade Fruit would lose its value, but still, it was a True Deity Grade resource. Even if its potency was ten percent, who would say no to it in this day and age, where such resources are extrely scarce?

Then there was soone even older whom he hadn't t but knew, since it was the Nether Springs Wolf Clan's Old Patriarch who lived for billions of years.
But the Nether Springs Wolf Clan's Old Patriarch didn't have the ability to create or even protect such a resource, and neither would so many people who have luckily lived for billions of years. After all, even an Immortal Emperor's lifespan could span up to over a hundred billion years as long as they kept their blood essence in top shape for their age and protected themselves from harm.
Regardless, despite the leakage, Davis could only keep it underneath his armpit like he was carrying a suitcase.

Davis ca to a stop as he heard her ice-cold voice. He turned to look at her, his expression holding an ounce of pity.
"Have you been enslaved?"
"Not really." Lady Thunderwraith replied in a somber tone, "I've been marked. However, it's just you're the only one who got permission to leave. If I leave, that existence will surely use that as an excuse to hunt you down, worse, target your family."
"…" Davis's expression churned.
"I'm destined to be a slave here for the rest of my live, herding these ghosts in preparation of my next breakthrough like I'm that calamity..."
Her voice turned despondent, but the bone-chilling tone of a ghost never left.
"Can you do a favor?" She raised her head, gazing at him straight.
"What? Do you have soone to take care of or take revenge on?"
"I have a lot of things to do, but I have no wish for others to undertake my troubles. I want you to use your power to kill after you have retreated safely. You can do it, can't you?"
Davis went silent. A mont later, he said, "I can…"
"Then please…" Lady Thunderwraith took a deep breath as a soul, "End ."
Davis lowered his head as though he were in contemplation.
He then raised his head and wryly smiled, "I'm not a stranger to rcy killing. I have done it a few tis, and each ti, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I think… I won't do it anymore."
"You would rather make suffer for billions of years then?"
"Do you not have the courage to end yourself?"
Lady Thunderwraith's expression turned difficult, even painful, as she touched her head and wailed, "…. I don't… a ghost is not capable of ending itself. Otherwise, we wouldn't have even ford."
"What an excuse. But, I see. A strong attachnt to life that you're willing to live even as a ghost…" Davis muttered, thinking of his own Will, before he nodded.
"Then…" He extended his hand out, his expression turning half-amused, half lanting, "As fellow ghosts, would you like to be my ally?"
