Once he was out of the Imperial Garden, Davis flew out, getting away from the suspected area of the Heavenly Restriction Pact's challenge.

But suddenly, he stopped, realizing that if he left this area, there was a chance that the heavens could also take this as acknowledgnt that he couldn't find Natalya.

He instantly descended and landed near the foot of a deserted mountain. This seed to be the outskirts of his estate and led down to the flatlands below, where there was flora and spirit fauna, such as wisps, which were plentiful. Many took the form of butterflies. When a calm breeze flew, they would fly away and create an extraordinary spectacle with their motes of light.

That was little Azalea told him while he was touring with his children.

There was also a river streaming down from a waterfall where they played speed kayaking, pretty dangerous for their age.

Regardless, he didn't have the luxury to admire it as he wondered what to do.

He wanted to speak with Fallen Heaven.

But if he couldn't leave the challenge's range, then he could not speak with Fallen Heaven.

He guessed even if he couldn't see, Fallen Heaven might be able to see Natalya. He thought that with its sight or senses adding onto him, he could easily find Natalya. However, Fallen Heaven refused to answer, which he guessed was because the heavens were actively looking at this scene, or imposed a restricted environnt where the actions of the surrounding beings were fully monitored.

"Co out!"

Davis urged, veins popping over his forehead. He clenched his fist as he yelled in his soul, but there was still no response. He didn't understand. It wasn't ti Fallen Heaven rebelled against the heavens, but they had beco stronger and were capable of at least defending against punishnt lightning or spaceti punishnt tribulation that might throw Fallen Heaven out of the universe as it feared.

So why wasn't Fallen Heaven responding?

"What? This isn't really a dangerous situation, so you refuse to co out to aid ? Is this what this is?"

Davis roared in his soul essence.

To Fallen Heaven, Natalya's situation might not be grave, but he had put it over the top, not hesitating to use Fallen Heaven, but it had hidden itself.

He nearly raged back in front of everyone and nearly gave himself away that he couldn't sense Natalya's presence.

"Say sothing!"

He nearly raged back in front of everyone and nearly gave himself away that he couldn't sense Natalya's presence.

"Say sothing!"

Unable to find Natalya and gain Fallen Heaven's power, Davis grew agitated, his fingers trembling. He turned to look at the mountain, wanting to break it into smithereens, but clenched his fist and walked back and forth. He didn't dare to do what he was thinking because he knew he would just be harming Stella's sanctuary with his power.

He didn't think he could hold back now, but hated that he still had so luxury to deal with other priorities.

Natalya was gone! He didn't even know if she was there or if everyone was just hallucinating.

How could he not be worried!?

He just swore again to be their pillar, yet he found himself crumbling away from being unable to find Natalya, much less maintain a semblance of his expression when Natalya told him through Viridia that she was clueless and useless.

"You-"

Pointing up at the skies, he felt like cursing at the heavens, but knew it would just invite so punishnt that would more or less delay him. His mind was fixed on saving Natalya, but he didn't know what to do. His thoughts circled around, not really getting an answer, as everything ended up being rejected by his subconscious as it determined it would lead to a disaster.

He tried to calm down but couldn't, his breathing turning heavy and his rage reaching the roof.

"Big brother~"

Suddenly, soone wrapped him in a hug from behind, making him co out of his reverie before he lowered his head.

"Stella… I'm sorry if I alard you…"

Since he gathered extraordinary power in his fist and was about to unleash it on the deserted mountain and even probably create a hole that would destabilize and nearly destroy the sanctuary, it wasn't surprising that Stella noticed and ca rushing.

"Please don't be mad…" Stella's eyes turned moist.

She also witnessed that Davis was unable to save Natalya since he just turned around and left.

Davis turned around before he held Stella's cheeks, wiping her tears. Her purple eyes shone with a sorrowful glint, her lips curling downwards as though she couldn't bear seeing him helpless.

"Stella…" Davis stroked her cheek fondly, "It's unlike you to make this kind of face. Be cheerful. Your smile will light up my heart."

Stella grasped his hands over her face and shot an unsightly smile, "I'll smile for you anyti if it can keep you sane."

"…"

Davis shuddered ever so lightly.

He took a deep breath and was suddenly able to calm down before he hugged Stella as though wanting to pour his heart out, but remained silent.

They remained like this for a few minutes before Davis finally let Stella go.

"Can I know what happened?" Stella asked hesitantly.

She walked him over and made him sit on a bedrock first.

Davis gazed at her before smiling forcefully, "Don't ask and don't speculate. This issue is extrely sensitive, but I will cure Natalya no matter what. Relay my words to the others who know about Natalya's matter."

"O-Okay~"

Stella nodded lightly and then flew back, disappearing as a spatial sphere appeared.

Davis lowered his head and looked at his palms for a while, suddenly rembering he had hurt Viridia's hand. He facepald heavily, creating a resounding slap sound. The mountain behind him had its face crumble from the shockwave, but he paid it no heed.

Not only did he lose his cool, but he also inadvertently hurt his daughter.

Could this get any worse? He wondered, but then strangely felt relieved that he at least didn't have the luxury to remain levelheaded as he had thought.

'Natalya… Natalya… you have truly left an unreachable goal…'

Davis scoffed. Despite initially feeling confident, he realized his devotion could never match Natalya's, especially at the point she unknowingly issued a challenge to the heavens. At that ti, Evelynn said Natalya was like a true fanatic, not caring if the family survived or not.

Should he also not care if the family survived or not in order to reach a point where he could match Natalya's devotion and finally find her?

How could it be possible for him? Hence, he felt like Natalya left him behind on this one.

He stopped to think and felt like he could use Level Three Obscure Intent of Heart Laws for forcing his faith into Natalya, but then, without a suitable action, it might not be acknowledged by the heavens. After all, Natalya proved that she didn't care about the family and only cared about him, her devotion reaching incredible levels during the tribulation while she constantly challenged the heavens and put everyone in danger as the tribulation lightning could've struck them all.

They were a family of Divergents, after all. It wouldn't be strange if the heavens had struck them all like they were so kind of plague.

Regardless, he could brainwash himself to solely devote himself to Natalya and later recover, but how could he put everyone in danger?

Should he invite the Heaven's Warriors here?

What constituted putting them in danger and being devoted to Natalya? If inviting Heaven's Warriors or inviting a punishnt tribulation didn't work, should he pick up a scythe and go on a massacre, killing every one of his family mbers by himself as a part of a sacrifice in order to offer to Natalya as his faith?

Nurous thoughts ran through his head, each one more dangerous than the last.

But he didn't hasten, slowly working out each idea.

About twenty minutes later, he raised his head, looking at the mountain where his estate was, and uttered lightly, "I don't believe I can't cure Natalya by myself..."

He stood up and reached the skies, flying towards the Imperial Garden.
