With the case handed over, Zhao Yuan took the White Cat and boarded the minibus with Ma Guotao.
The Audi sedan had been wrecked, and the driver was injured and had been taken to the hospital. The two of them had no choice but to squeeze onto the minibus with the main group. Fortunately, there were empty seats, so they didn't have to worry about finding a place to sit.
"Zhao Yuan, what did you tell the police just now?" Ma Guotao asked curiously.

Zhao Yuan didn't join the conversation. Instead, he went to the back of the minibus and sat with Liu Zhu and the others.

"I'm fine," Zhao Yuan answered. "The driver hit the brakes just in ti, so we managed to avoid the worst of it."

Wu Yan nodded in agreent. "Second Brother's right. I saw it too. Third Brother, what really happened?"
Zhao Yuan didn't hide anything from his three brothers, quietly explaining what he had learned.
"What the hell? That bastard was actually trying to kill you? Son of a bitch!" Wu Yan shot to his feet and started for the door.
Zhao Yuan quickly grabbed him, pushed him back down into his seat, and demanded in a low voice, "Where do you think you're going?"
"I'm going to kill that bastard!" Wu Yan snarled.
"Are you crazy?" Zhao Yuan said, exasperated. "That driver is just a pawn. If you actually kill him, it won't solve anything, and you'll just end up in prison!"
Liu Zhu nodded. "Third Brother's right. Fourth Brother, calm down!"
Wang Rongfeng also added a few quiet words of persuasion, and Wu Yan finally cald down.
"Third Brother, who would hire a hitman to kill you?" Liu Zhu asked quietly.
Zhao Yuan answered, "The driver said the person who paid him to kill is nad Wu Qizheng. I don't know him, and he was just hired to do the job. We can't be sure who the mastermind is yet. But I think there's a good chance it's the Jinling Zhao Family!"
"The Jinling Zhao Family?"
After frowning in thought for a mont, Liu Zhu nodded. "The Jinling Zhao Family is definitely the pri suspect! If you died in a car crash on the way to Jinling, the dical competition would be called off. And since the cause of death would be an accident, even if people suspected them, they couldn't do anything without evidence."
"That's what I was thinking," Zhao Yuan said, his eyes narrowing, his gaze sharp. "This trip to Jinling is probably not going to be simple."
Wu Yan gritted his teeth, his voice full of contempt. "The Jinling Zhao Family is truly despicable. It was bad enough when they frad and slandered you, but now they're trying to have you killed!"
A vicious glint flashed in Wang Rongfeng's eyes. "Third Brother," he said coldly, "we can't help you much with the dical competition. But when it cos to a fight, we brothers have got your back! The way I see it, this trip to Jinling won't just be a battle of skills, but a battle of fists too! When the ti cos, we'll beat the hell out of those bastards from the Jinling Zhao Family and show them why flowers are so red!"
Wu Yan asked curiously, "And why is that?"
Wang Rongfeng forced three words through his gritted teeth: "Stained with blood!"
Zhao Yuan shook his head, his expression serious. "If it really cos to a fight with the Jinling Zhao Family, I need you guys to first get the girls and the teachers to safety. Once they're clear, then you can co back and help ."
Liu Zhu, Wang Rongfeng, and Wu Yan exchanged a glance and nodded in unison. "No problem!"
The rest of the journey passed without any further incidents.
After arriving at the airport, they first checked in the White Cat for transport, then got their boarding passes and headed to the terminal to wait for their flight.
「anwhile, in Jinling, at the Zhao Family estate.」
His face grim, Zhao Dezhu shoved open the door to Zhao Jingrou's room.
Zhao Jingrou, who was in the middle of a ga, jumped in surprise. "Dad!" she complained. "Why'd you just co in without knocking?"

Zhao Dezhu strode forward, ripped the computer monitor from the desk, and hurled it to the ground, where it imdiately smashed into pieces.
"Dad, what are you doing?!" Zhao Jingrou cried out, about to lose her temper. But one look at Zhao Dezhu's thunderous expression made her wisely change her tune. "What did you want to ask?"
Zhao Dezhu demanded in a low, dangerous voice, "I just received word that Zhao Yuan was in a car crash in Rongcheng City. Did you arrange it?"
