The Jiang Family estate.
After the clan eting during the day, the Jiang Family had strengthened its defenses.
At this mont, outside the main gates of the Jiang Family estate, a full fifty clansn stood guard. Each was clad in Iron Armor, a Steel Spear in hand.
Every one of them cut an imposing figure.
"Keep your eyes peeled! Don’t let so much as a fly past these gates."
The one leading the group was the Jiang Family’s Jiang Gan.
He was an expert at the Martial Master Second Realm.
He was sowhat dismissive of the situation described by the Patriarch, Jiang Han. ’After all,’ he thought, ’the Xin Family and the Bai Family would never launch such an attack so easily. It would benefit no one.’
Even so, Jiang Gan dutifully stood guard at the main gate.
In addition, experts were posted at all four of the Jiang Family’s main gates.
Other corners of the estate were also watched by clansn on patrol.
"It seems a little too quiet tonight," one of the clansn remarked casually.
Tonight, there was not even a breeze. It was terrifyingly silent.
The usual chirping of insects seed to have vanished.
"Hm?"
Jiang Gan grew suspicious as well.
’This atmosphere... sothing is very wrong.’
"AH—"
Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream pierced the night, its source unknown.
Everyone was startled.
"There’s movent over there."
Jiang Gan’s expression darkened. The scream had co from nearby, echoing through the night.
He didn’t even know if it was one of his own n.
Still, he couldn’t be certain if it was an enemy attack.
He shouted, "Keep watch here! I’m going to check it out."
With that, Jiang Gan imdiately rushed over to investigate.
’There are bloodstains.’
He found blood on the ground, but no body.
The bloodstains, however, looked as if sothing had been dragged away from the Jiang Family’s position.
Seeing this, Jiang Gan’s face changed drastically.
He roared, "Who’s there? Show yourself!"
He knew this was big trouble.

The words had barely left his mouth when several figures in black burst from the darkness. Every one of them was an expert.
The leader, shockingly, was a Warrior Third Heaven.
The color drained from Jiang Gan’s face.
He hurriedly shouted, "Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"
He knew that the things discussed at the clan eting today were likely coming true.
He hadn’t believed it before, but the mont he heard that scream, he’d had a bad feeling.
Now, the appearance of these n in black all but confird it.
"Kill them!"
"Slaughter the entire Jiang Family!"
The enemy charged without hesitation, not wasting a single word.

Though he was outmatched, Jiang Gan remained calm in the face of danger.
He thrust the spear-type Dharma Artifact in his hand at a man beside him.

But Jiang Gan didn’t dare to linger. He turned and ran.
He had to report the news.
"Kill him!" soone roared.
Behind him, an endless stream of n in black continued to erge.
Jiang Gan was horrified.
Jiang Gan’s shouts instantly alerted the Jiang Family sentries.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack...!"
In an instant, cries of "Enemy attack!" echoed throughout the entire Jiang Family estate.
Jiang Han, who had been in the middle of his Cultivation, felt his expression change drastically.
’Damn it! The Bai and Xin families... they really ca. And so quickly!’
He leaped to his feet and rushed outside without a second thought.

He couldn’t worry about anything else.
He knew that once this battle began, the Jiang Family would likely be annihilated.

His first thought was to save his wife and son.
Xiao Yun shook her head. "If you die, what aning is there in my life?"

Xiao Yun was taken aback by Jiang Han’s harsh words.
Tears stread down her face. She also wanted their son to survive.

Finally, she spun around and bolted toward Jiang Chen’s courtyard. There was no ti left for words.
As long as the Jiang Family could protect Jiang Chen, there was still a chance to rise from the ashes.

Every clansman cast aside their panic and fear, their fighting spirit ignited by Jiang Han.
They grew frenzied.

With bloodshot eyes, they were like rabid watchdogs defending their ho.

They were in the direction of the Jiang Family estate.
