"Let see you out!"

As Murong Xiangming prepared to leave, Jiang Chen quickly rose to see her off.

Murong Xiangming had helped him a great deal this ti.

He was quite grateful. After all, his current network wasn’t nearly as powerful as hers.

It was beneficial to maintain a good relationship with Murong Xiangming.

In his past life, getting whatever he wanted would have only taken a single word.

’Tis have changed, after all.’

"Alright."

Murong Xiangming showed no intention of refusing; in fact, she was quite happy to have Jiang Chen see her out.

Just as they walked out the door, a figure rushed out, laughing boisterously.

"Miss Murong, I’ve waited so long for you!"

It was Qin Lie. He had been waiting and waiting for a long ti, and he was really starting to harbor so hatred for Jiang Chen.

’To think he could talk with Murong Xiangming for so long.’

He himself couldn’t even manage to exchange a few words with her.

When Murong Xiangming saw it was Qin Lie—and that he’d actually waited, looking so very patient—her dislike grew.

The more he acted like this, the more she disliked him.

She gave a faint "mm" in acknowledgnt.

Ignoring Qin Lie completely, she continued walking away.

Qin Lie shot Jiang Chen a vicious, threatening glare.

But he still shalessly said, "Are you leaving? Let see you out."

Her response was, as before, impatient.

"Eldest Young Master Qin, go about your business. It’s enough to have Jiang Chen see out."

Qin Lie was instantly so struck by her words he felt like he was fuming.

He glared furiously at Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen, however, rely gave Qin Lie an indifferent glance, not taking him seriously at all.

This Qin Lie was a Warrior Eighth Layer Heaven. In terms of Cultivation, he was actually a bit higher than Jiang Chen.

"Steward Jiang, you can stop here. I will see Miss Murong out."

He stared at Jiang Chen, his eyes spitting fire, enunciating each word slowly.

After all, he wasn’t about to give up a chance to interact with Murong Xiangming.

Jiang Chen shrugged, then said to Murong Xiangming, "Miss Murong, in that case, let this gentleman see you out!"

"But I must still thank you for the gift."

He stopped, no longer planning to continue escorting her.

It wasn’t that he was afraid of trouble; he already knew Qin Lie’s identity.

He simply had no desire to compete with Qin Lie over matters between n and won.

Since Qin Lie liked her, he might as well let him have his chance.

Although Qin Lie caught the implication in Jiang Chen’s words—that Murong Xiangming had apparently given him sothing—he was still very satisfied that Jiang Chen knew his place.

Only Murong Xiangming was unhappy.

’Qin Lie is absolutely nauseating, like a rat dropping.’

She waved to Jiang Chen. "You go on then. We’ll see each other again when we have ti."

With that, she completely ignored Qin Lie and hurried away.

Qin Lie scrambled to follow.

"Miss Murong, wait!"

But Murong Xiangming’s pace only quickened.

With Murong Xiangming’s Cultivation at Martial Master Ninth Heaven, her speed was far greater than Qin Lie’s.

Even using every last bit of his strength, Qin Lie couldn’t catch up to her.

Watching Murong Xiangming disappear at the end of the street, Qin Lie felt he was about to collapse.

"Damn it! Damn it all! Murong Xiangming, you’ve gone too far!"

"No! Do you think this is enough to make back down? Impossible! I, Qin Lie, will make you my woman!"

Standing at the entrance to the Alchemist Guild, Qin Lie seethed and swore an oath to himself.

Then, he rembered how highly Murong Xiangming seed to regard Jiang Chen.

Resentnt flared in his heart.

"What a guy, this Jiang Chen. It’s like the whole world revolves around you."

"You killed Steward Yang Tian, and you killed Elder Xiao Gu."

"Well, I refuse to believe you’re untouchable. I’ll make it so you can’t stay in the Alchemist Guild any longer."

He hated Jiang Chen deeply.

She was so friendly and smiley with Jiang Chen, but toward him, she was as cold as ice.

Their respective places in Murong Xiangming’s heart seed to be worlds apart.

He couldn’t contain his anger.

Furious, Qin Lie stord back into the Alchemist Guild.

He headed straight for the Steward Hall.

BANG!

Qin Lie forcefully shoved open the door to Jiang Chen’s room.

He barged inside.

"Jiang Chen..."

Qin Lie looked at Jiang Chen with fury.

Just then, Jiang Chen had just finished packing and was about to leave the Alchemist Guild when he saw Qin Lie burst in again.

He frowned and asked, "What is it?"

Considering his relationship with Master Qin, he had been quite tolerant of Qin Lie.

After all, he didn’t want to have a falling out with Master Qin just yet.

As for Qin Lie himself, he really didn’t pay him much mind.

But Qin Lie stomped up to Jiang Chen and sneered.

"Jiang Chen, are you in love with Murong Xiangming?"

The mont he arrived, he began interrogating Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen said indifferently, "Does that have anything to do with you?"

Seeing that Qin Lie had clearly gotten the cold shoulder from Murong Xiangming, Jiang Chen felt a little like laughing.

SLAM!

Qin Lie slamd his palm on the table and shouted, "Yes, it does! I’m telling you, Murong Xiangming is the woman I’ve set my sights on. You’d better stay away from her."

"You’re nothing but an ugly toad. Don’t be a toad lusting after a swan’s flesh."

He didn’t want Jiang Chen to have anything to do with Murong Xiangming; even getting close was unacceptable.

He didn’t even hesitate to use vile words to put Jiang Chen down.

For a guy who had gone crazy over a woman like this, Jiang Chen could only feel pity.

He spread his hands. "Fine. I’ll leave the swan’s flesh for you. Let’s see if you can actually get a bite."

He had no intention of fighting with Qin Lie over Murong Xiangming.

After all, his relationship with Murong Xiangming was purely one of friendship.

"Heh, good."

Qin Lie was smug. He had won; he’d made Jiang Chen back out of the competition.

However, he still wasn’t finished.

"A mont ago, what did Murong Xiangming give you? Hand it over."

He rembered Jiang Chen ntioning that Murong Xiangming had given him sothing.

Now he was demanding it.

’Murong Xiangming can only give things to , not to anyone else.’

"Hm?"

Jiang Chen was now displeased. He said indifferently, "Qin Lie, you can leave now."

"The fact that she gave a gift has nothing to do with you, does it?"

’If it weren’t for Master Qin, I would have slapped this guy to death with the Divine Wind Fan long ago.’

But Qin Lie was aggressive.

He was banking on his status as the son of the President of the Alchemist Guild.

"Jiang Chen, you know my father is the President of the Alchemist Guild. Provoking is unwise."

"I advise you to hand over the item at once. Otherwise, the consequences will be more than you can bear."

Jiang Chen refused him flatly.

"That’s not going to happen."

"If there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving."

Jiang Chen really couldn’t be bothered to argue with this kind of person and decided to just leave and go ho.

But Qin Lie didn’t back down, directly blocking Jiang Chen’s path.

His eyes grew cruel.

"Jiang Chen, don’t be shaless."

"In the Alchemist Guild, you’re just a substitute."

"You’re nothing. Let tell you, you’re just a dog. Don’t think so highly of yourself."

Enraged, Qin Lie looked at Jiang Chen with contempt as he spat out his words.

And Jiang Chen finally snapped.

He had tolerated this person long enough.

"So people, you give them an inch and they take a mile."

"Do you want to know how Yang Tian and Xiao Gu died?"

He stared at Qin Lie with icy eyes.

Jiang Chen knew that everyone in the Alchemist Guild was aware that Yang Tian and Xiao Gu had died because of him, and that their deaths were bizarre.

Now, killing intent glead in his eyes as he stared at Qin Lie.

"You..."

Qin Lie trembled. He knew the deaths of Xiao Gu and Yang Tian were strange, that they had died inexplicably.

And they had both fallen at Jiang Chen’s hands.

Terrified, he stumbled back several steps, but still sneered, "You dare to kill ?"

"Here, in the Alchemist Guild, you dare kill ?"

Jiang Chen’s emotionless voice was his only reply.

"Killing you would be like slaughtering a dog."

"Annihilating you, like butchering a chicken!"

"If you don’t believe , you’re welco to try and see if I dare to kill you."
