"Steward Jiang, the President requests your presence in the President’s Hall."
Jiang Chen was flipping through so Elixir Notes left behind by an unknown person.
Suddenly, a guard ca in and relayed a ssage to Jiang Chen from Master Qin, the President of the Alchemist Guild. He wished to speak with Jiang Chen.
"Alright. I’ll be there shortly."
Jiang Chen replied without even lifting his head.
He slowly closed the book and fell into a brief mont of thought.
’Master Qin is looking for . It must be for sothing important.’
Since Jiang Chen’s arrival at the Alchemist Guild, Master Qin had never once summoned him for a private eting.
Now, as he pondered, he had a premonition that Master Qin must have sothing important to discuss.
’Is he getting ready to avenge his son?’
That was Jiang Chen’s first thought. He couldn’t help but think it, since he had dealt with Chairman Qin’s son, Qin Lie.
It would only be normal for Master Qin to be displeased.
Jiang Chen had no doubt that Master Qin would do anything for his son’s sake.
He quietly made so preparations.

Only then did he rise and head toward the President’s Hall.
The President’s Hall was located in the very center of the Alchemist Guild.

"Steward Jiang, the President is waiting for you in the third-floor reception hall."

Jiang Chen gave Master Qin a slight nod. After all, the man was the President of the Alchemist Guild; his status was not ordinary, and he deserved at least so asure of respect.
So, upon entering and seeing Master Qin, he was the first to speak and offer a greeting.
"Steward Jiang, you’ve arrived."
"Quickly, please, have a seat."
Master Qin greeted Jiang Chen very amicably, as if he hadn’t taken anything Jiang Chen had done at the Alchemist Guild to heart.
He didn’t even seem to care that his son had been dealt with by Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen secretly sized up Master Qin but found nothing out of the ordinary, which made him very suspicious.
At the sa ti, he could see that this Master Qin was indeed a man of extraordinary cunning.
His face betrayed none of his emotions.
This type of person was also extrely difficult to deal with.
Without being overly polite, he sat down in a chair.
Jiang Chen asked coolly, "I wonder, what important matter did the President summon for?"
"Please speak your mind, President."

The Fire Sparrow Kingdom’s Alchemist Guild was one level higher than the Hanwu City branch.
Further up were the Alchemist Guild branches located in the Three Great Empires.
Level by level, the hierarchy went all the way up to the Alchemist Guild’s main headquarters.
Small guilds like the Hanwu City Alchemist Guild were a di a dozen and counted for practically nothing within the greater Alchemist Guild.
Their existence was of little consequence.
Of course, the most crucial point was that the Fire Sparrow Kingdom’s Alchemist Guild had jurisdiction over the Hanwu City Alchemist Guild.
Therefore, compared to the Hanwu City branch, the Fire Sparrow Kingdom Alchemist Guild held significant power.

Even being a Junior Steward there was better than being a Senior Steward in the Hanwu City branch.
Jiang Chen looked at Master Qin with a placid smile.

So he was trying to send Jiang Chen away.

"Thank you for your kind intentions, President, but I currently have no plans to leave Hanwu City."
Jiang Chen replied gently, cupping his hands in a salute toward Master Qin.
He didn’t want to make an open break of it.
He knew that Master Qin was definitely already a little afraid of him.
But that was Jiang Chen’s way: as long as others didn’t provoke him, he wouldn’t turn hostile.
He refused.
A flash of anger crossed Master Qin’s eyes.
But he didn’t let it show.
Instead, he continued to persuade him, "Jiang Chen, think about it. You’re still young. What’s the point of staying here in Hanwu City?"
"A young man should be like an eagle, spreading his wings to soar high and climb to greater heights."
"To be honest, even if you took my position here in Hanwu City, it would be aningless, don’t you agree?"

In order to force Jiang Chen out, Master Qin was practically going all in.
He was willing to agree to any condition first, hoping to move Jiang Chen and convince him to leave.
He didn’t want to have a falling out with Jiang Chen just yet.
