Lin Fan couldn’t be bothered to waste any more ti and imdiately turned to leave. However, in the eyes of Mr. Wang Sr. and the others, this just looked like he was consud by guilt and trying to flee in disgrace. They exchanged looks, their smiles brimming with smugness.

Su ngqing’s expression froze, and her body trembled. She felt as if a heavy hamr had just smashed into her chest. The feeling was suffocating, crushing. It was a despair so profound it left her helpless, and an uncontrollable rage exploded through her entire being.
"Lin Fan! How can you be so cold-blooded, so heartless?!" Su ngqing finally broke down, screaming through her tears. "Even if the Su family treated you poorly, even if you still resent us, you called her ’Mom’ for four whole years! Shouldn’t you set aside your grudges at a life-or-death mont like this and fulfill an old woman’s wish?"
She gritted her teeth and struggled to her feet, her body shaking violently. "You won’t even pretend?!"
"That’s right. Lin Fan shouldn’t go. He should let your mother, Zhang ili, die from anger!" a crisp voice called out from the end of the corridor, interrupting Su ngqing.
Everyone’s head snapped toward the sound, their expressions changing drastically.
"Su ngqing, you begged to tell you where Lin Fan was, claiming you wanted to apologize to him," Yuan Youwei said, striding forward with Mrs. Xue. She was dressed like a secretary, her smile mocking and her eyes filled with an icy chill.
"Is this your so-called apology? Guilt-tripping him and aggressively making demands?" Yuan Youwei ca to a halt in front of Su ngqing and laughed with anger. "Have you forgotten how you treated Lin Fan when he begged you to visit Ms. Lin Suxin in the hospital for her last monts? He’s just giving you a taste of your own dicine, and you can’t take it? Have you no sha?!"
