Now reading: Chapter 1: Divorce from Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me, a Romance novel by 2 Mushroom Girl.

Today, she and Tristan Grayson had an appointnt: nine o’clock in the morning at the Civil Affairs Bureau.

She’d left ho before dawn to wait at the Civil Affairs Bureau and had been there ever since. It was almost nine o’clock now.

’Tristan Grayson should be here soon!’ Honestly, with him not here yet, she was still a little anxious, a little excited.

Don’t get the wrong idea. They weren’t rushing to get married—they were going to get a divorce!

That’s right, a divorce. For her, today was truly a good day. She hadn’t been this happy in three years.

She took out her phone and glanced at it again. It was already 9:10 AM.

Tristan Grayson was a full ten minutes late! ’How infuriating. He can’t even leave with a halfway decent impression while we’re getting a divorce.’

She took out her phone again, opening her contacts. She stared at Tristan Grayson’s na but didn’t dare to call and ask where he was.

After all, she knew very well that for Tristan Grayson, being late was just business as usual.

She rembered the first ti they t to register their marriage—he’d been a full two hours late then, too.

It was actually a little similar to today’s situation.

She rembered her mood that day was the sa as it was now: a little anxious and a little excited.

Because she was getting married, and to the man of her dreams, no less.

Tristan Grayson, a top male celebrity at LK Company, had an even more special identity: the behind-the-scenes chairman of the LK Group, with a net worth in the tens of billions!

She had thought that by marrying Tristan Grayson, her life as an ugly duckling would finally be over. She’d thought her happy life was finally about to begin.

’Who would have thought it would just be another cage!’

That bleak, sunless married life had tornted her to the point of utter despair.

"Hey." As she was lost in thought, a cold voice sounded from behind her.

Hearing the voice, she snapped out of her reverie. She turned to see Tristan Grayson dressed in a black overcoat, a black baseball cap, and a black mask, his eyes filled with impatience and indifference.

Seeing him show up for their divorce dressed like he was attending a funeral, she found it laughable. "You’re here. Let’s go."

"Don’t worry, I won’t shortchange you. No matter what, you were with for three years. Even though our marriage was in na only, I, Tristan Grayson, will absolutely give you everything you’re owed. Not a single thing less."

"You don’t need to find a new place to live. The house is yours. Also, here’s a check for five million. Consider it compensation for the last three years."

"Heh—" She glanced at the check and property deed in Tristan Grayson’s hands, her lips curling into a disdainful sneer. ’So, three years of my youth were worth a house and a five-million-dollar check.’

"Tristan Grayson, you really are generous. But I, Mika Sumrs, will never thank you for this." ’Only she knew how she had endured those three years. This was all just what she was owed.’

"I never expected you to thank . I just hope we can part on good terms." After saying this coldly, Tristan Grayson walked into the Civil Affairs Bureau ahead of her.

She watched Tristan Grayson’s back as he walked away, an indescribable weight settling in her heart.

She had waited so long for this day, but she didn’t feel as happy as she’d imagined she would.

She clutched the docunts and their marriage certificate tightly in her hand. She rembered the first ti they ca here, she and Tristan Grayson had waited in line for a long ti.

She had thought it might be the sa today, but the process wasn’t as complicated as she’d expected. They walked straight up to an employee and handed over their docunts.

The staff mber, holding a set of docunts in each hand, glanced at them and asked, "Tristan Grayson, male, 27 years old. Mika Sumrs, female, 25 years old. Is that correct?"

"Yes."

"Alright, please sign here. Once you’ve signed, your marriage will be officially dissolved."

Hearing the employee’s words and looking down at the papers in her hand, her heart gave a violent tremble. ’The mont I’ve been waiting for is finally here.’

Beside her, Tristan Grayson rely shot her a cool, indifferent glance before taking the papers from the employee and swiftly signing his na with a few strokes of the pen.

She watched how readily Tristan signed his na, without even a mont’s hesitation. A self-mocking smile touched her lips. ’And here I was, feeling sad for a second. How foolish!’

She picked up the pen and signed her na as well.

They were finally divorced! Her three-year marriage was finally over!
