"So other ti?" Mika Sumrs had been better off not saying anything. Her words pushed Tristan Grayson’s fury to its absolute peak. "Aiden Avery, are you leaving or not?!"
Aiden Avery continued to treat Tristan Grayson like he was thin air. With a gentle smile, he reached out and ruffled Mika Sumrs’s hair. "Mm, okay. I’ll co see you again tomorrow, then."
"Mm," Mika Sumrs dodged his hand awkwardly and nodded.
This scene provoked Tristan Grayson once again. He practically roared through gritted teeth, "Aiden Avery! I’m giving you three seconds to disappear from my sight!"
However, Aiden Avery paid Tristan Grayson’s harsh threat no mind. Before leaving, he even made a point of telling Mika Sumrs not to tire herself out, not to get out of bed, and to call him anyti she wanted sothing to eat or drink.
Tristan Grayson had already kicked the hospital bed twice, but this Aiden Avery still didn’t have the sense to leave, going on and on with his instructions.
Tristan Grayson kicked the bed again, this ti with more force, nearly making Mika Sumrs fall off. Aiden Avery’s reflexes were sharp; he quickly steadied her, then looked up and snapped at Tristan, "Tristan Grayson, if you’re sick, go see a doctor! Don’t go crazy in here! Mika is pregnant right now. If you hurt her, you’ll have to answer to."
"Aiden Avery, you’re the one who’s a psycho! She’s my wife. I, Tristan Grayson, know what’s best for her better than you do." With that, Tristan Grayson strode over to Aiden Avery in a few quick steps, grabbed him by the collar, and forcibly dragged him out of the room. Then, with a BANG, he slamd the door shut.
Seeing the hospital room without Aiden Avery in it, Tristan Grayson felt an indescribable sense of relief.
Outside the door, Aiden Avery rubbed his nose and leaned against the wall. He pulled a cigarette from his pocket, intending to smoke it, but then thought of the woman inside and put it back.
’Actually, I did that on purpose just now.’ He knew better than anyone how poorly Tristan Grayson had treated Mika Sumrs for the past three years. He also knew better than anyone how important Maggie Monroe was to Tristan. So, he had done it to see if Mika was really just a tool for Tristan to throw people off the scent.
’It seems my worries were unnecessary. Tristan Grayson isn’t truly indifferent to Mika Sumrs.’ Thinking this, he gave a self-deprecating smile and left.
「Inside the hospital room.」
Mika Sumrs watched Tristan Grayson stand there, staring straight at her. She explained nervously, "Tristan, there’s nothing between Avery and ."
"Avery? Heh... You two know each other?"
"Yes, we do. Avery used to tutor ."
Tutored her? The smile vanished from Tristan Grayson’s face. His eyes darkened as he slowly walked to her side. He lifted her chin with his hand, studying her from different angles, and said in a cold tone, "So, you’re the woman Aiden Avery has been looking for all this ti." ’Why did this woman have to be born with such a seductive face? I seriously wish I could just make her ugly right now, then we’d see who else would dare to covet her.’
"What do you an?" ’Why would Aiden be looking for ?’
"Heh... Aiden Avery is in love with you, and you didn’t know?" ’And she’s still playing dumb with .’
Mika Sumrs was stunned by Tristan Grayson’s words. "Avery is in love with ?"
"Stop pretending. From now on, stay away from him. If I ever see you two together again, you’ll face the consequences!"
"Tristan Grayson, how can you be like this?"
"Give your phone!" ’She is his, Tristan Grayson’s, woman. Wasn’t it his right to act however he pleased?’
