"But it’s the truth. Just let go." By then, Mika Sumrs had already unbuckled her seatbelt. She got out of the car and tried to walk past Tristan Grayson to leave.
Tristan Grayson shot out a hand and grabbed her arm. "Tell this isn’t real!" ’How could this woman be so heartless! So heartless as to feed him these fabricated lies.’
His low, hoarse voice made Mika Sumrs’s heart ache more and more. Her face was deathly pale as she shook her head. "I’m not lying to you. It’s true." With that said, Mika Sumrs turned and walked away without looking back.
Tristan Grayson’s gaze darkened as he stared after her. But as he took in her slender fra, an idea suddenly struck him. A wicked smile crossed his lips. He found it all utterly ridiculous. ’I almost fell for it again.’
He strode forward, shrugging off his coat and quickly wrapping it around her. "Miss Sumrs, you’re quite the actress." ’Who walks around wearing so little right after a miscarriage? Who has this much energy to argue with soone? This woman must take for a complete fool!’
"What do you an?"
Tristan Grayson scooped her up again and shoved her back into the car. This ti, he didn’t give her a chance to refuse, slamming the door shut.
He quickly got into the driver’s seat and sneered, "I almost forgot. Miss Sumrs, every ti you put on a show for in the past, you were brilliant!"
"..." Mika Sumrs’s mind went blank. She had no idea how to respond to Tristan Grayson.
Seeing her silence, Tristan Grayson sneered again. "Looks like I wasn’t wrong."
"Where are you taking ?" Looking at him like this, she felt a deep-seated fear. ’No matter how hard I try or what I say, it’s all useless with him.’
"The hospital."
"Tristan Grayson, what on earth are you doing?"
"To get confirmation!" With that, Tristan Grayson started the car and drove off.
Mika Sumrs’s heart clenched tightly. ’Do I really have to go to the hospital with him? Do I have to go back to living that inhuman life?’
’No, I won’t live that life anymore. I’ve had enough! I’ve had enough of that hellish life!’ At this thought, she gave a cold smile, reached out, and flung open the car door. "Tristan Grayson, there’s no need to go to the hospital. I can give you your confirmation right now." With that, she closed her eyes and moved to jump from the moving car.
Tristan Grayson’s heart leaped into his throat. His reflexes were lightning-fast; he yanked the madwoman back inside. "You lunatic, what do you think you’re doing!"
"Proving it to you! You don’t believe , do you?" Mika Sumrs shot back, her eyes bloodshot.
Tristan Grayson glanced at the open car door, terrified she would jump the second he let go. He yanked the steering wheel with his left hand, bringing the car to a stop, his other hand still gripping her arm, not daring to release it. His voice trembled with a hint of helplessness. "Can you please just stop?" ’Even if she wanted to prove her point, there was no need to be so impulsive and extre.’
Mika Sumrs finally broke down in tears. "Now do you believe I got rid of the baby? Tristan Grayson, I’m begging you! I’m on my knees, begging you! Can you please just get out of my life!"
Tristan Grayson’s brow furrowed deeply, his eyes filled with an unbearable pain. "You want to be away from that badly?" ’The person who used to love him so much... for her to suddenly want to leave him, did that an she doesn’t love him anymore?’ Tristan Grayson didn’t know. All he knew was that he was furious, and for so reason, his heart ached...
