Jasmine Warren brushed her hand away, her voice cold as she said, "Fine. You can be discharged right now." This patient was her biggest headache. She never cooperated with her shots or IV drips.
Dr. Miller had always been her doctor, but he’d gone abroad to study a while back, so this ti, the whole ss had been dumped on her.
In truth, the woman didn’t need any more treatnt. All the necessary surgeries had already been done abroad. Even if she needed to rest and recover, there was no reason to remain in the hospital. She could just go ho and co back for regular check-ups.
But if the director wouldn’t give the word, what could she do? Her hands were completely tied...
"Really? That’s wonderful! I just went to ask the director, but he wouldn’t let leave. He said we have to wait for FinnAiden’s approval."
When Jasmine Warren heard that the director wouldn’t approve it and that they needed FinnAiden’s permission, her eyes flew wide. ’So, this woman was just trying to trap with my words.’
Just as she was about to say sothing to walk it back, two won’s voices called out from behind her, "Miss Monroe! Miss Monroe!"
"Miss Monroe, we’ve been looking all over for you! What are you doing here...?"
At the sound of their voices, the fawning smile vanished from Maggie Monroe’s face, replaced by cold indifference. She dropped her high heels onto the floor, slipped them back on, and crossed her arms. Looking at the two won, her voice dripped with scorn. "And why can’t I be here? Nanny Archer, I’m a patient, not so prisoner for you to watch over!"
"Miss Monroe, please don’t be angry with us. We’re just following orders."

Jasmine Warren had no desire to watch them bicker. She stuffed her hands in her pockets and walked over to Mika Sumrs, who was staring, dumbfounded, from a short distance away.
Stopping in front of Mika Sumrs, she gently tapped her on the head and called out with a grin, "Hey, Mika Sumrs! What are you spacing out for?"
Mika Sumrs looked at Jasmine Warren, her expression grim. "That woman... what’s her na?" ’If I heard correctly,’ she thought, ’those two won called her Miss Monroe. I wouldn’t have been this shocked if I were in any other hospital. But this one... this is the sa hospital where Maggie Monroe is staying.’
’I must have been out of my mind to just blindly follow Jasmine Warren to this hospital.’
"Oh, her? What’s her na again...? I think it’s sothing like... Roya Monroe. Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s Roya Monroe."
Mika Sumrs was slightly taken aback. "Roya Monroe?" ’Not Maggie Monroe?’ At that thought, she couldn’t help but sneak another look at the woman in the distance. Seeing her bald head, Mika frowned in confusion. The woman Tristan Grayson had been holding last ti clearly had long hair. She wasn’t bald.
Maggie Monroe had noticed Mika Sumrs from the start and had recognized her imdiately. She didn’t particularly like Dr. Warren, but upon seeing that the doctor knew Mika, she’d wanted to get on Dr. Warren’s good side. Now, noticing Mika Sumrs staring at her, she offered a gentle smile and a nod. Her eyes, however, drifted down to Mika’s flat stomach, her gaze turning complex and chillingly cold.
’She was no stranger to this woman. Tristan’s marriage and divorce certificates both featured her photo. Over the past three years, she must have looked at that marriage certificate a hundred tis... This woman, the one who stole what should have rightfully been hers... oh, she rembered her perfectly. All it took was a single glance to recognize her...’
