"Stop right there! You hit soone and think you can just walk away like that?" Maggie Monroe yelled furiously, seeing Mika Sumrs and her friend about to leave while Tristan wasn’t reacting.
Jasmine Warren stopped in her tracks and looked back at Maggie Monroe with a sneer. "Then what do you want?"
"Apologize! Apologize to us!" She hadn’t dared to press for an apology earlier, but she did now—after all, the one who’d been hit was Tristan.
"Heh, ridiculous. I hit this scumbag. What’s it got to do with you? Why should I apologize to you? Besides, if you want an apology, fine. You co over here and let beat you up, and then I’ll give you a sincere apology."
Maggie Monroe’s whole body trembled with rage at Jasmine’s words. "Dr. Warren, you’ve gone too far! You hit soone, and you still dare to be this brazen?"

As a crowd started to gather and she heard the onlookers murmuring, Maggie Monroe’s eyes reddened as if she were deeply wronged. She tugged at the still-unresponsive Tristan’s arm, her voice catching as she said, "Tristan, listen to how they’re insulting us. We’re clearly the victims here."
Tristan Grayson coldly brushed Maggie Monroe’s hand away. "Go back!" Once he saw that Jasmine Warren was a woman, his anger subsided. In fact, he felt a flicker of relief, because it ant *she* wasn’t with another man...
"Tristan, are we just going to let it go after they insulted us like that?" Maggie Monroe asked, both shocked and angry.
"I said, go back!" This ti, Tristan’s tone was even colder than before.
At this, Maggie Monroe burst into tears. "Why should I go back? I haven’t done anything wrong! It’s Miss Sumrs who’s the problem! You’re already divorced from Tristan, so why do you keep pestering him? I just don’t get it. What are you trying to do? Are you trying to get back together with him?"
"Have you no sha?! A woman like you just redefines the word for !" Jasmine Warren cursed, pointing furiously at Maggie Monroe.
Although Mika Sumrs didn’t want to stay another second, she had to stop Jasmine, knowing that sharp tongue of hers would undoubtedly infuriate Tristan Grayson. She hurried forward, pushed Jasmine’s hand down, and forced herself to look composed. With a cold smile, she said, "Miss Monroe, you can rest assured, I have no intention of pestering ’your’ Tristan, let alone getting back together with him. And just so you know, Miss Monroe, a man of ’your’ Tristan’s... quality... is soone I wouldn’t look twice at now. I’m not interested."
"You... you... Tristan, did you hear that? Did you hear what she just said about you?!"
"—" Tristan Grayson had of course heard her. Not only had he heard, he’d heard every single word, crystal clear. He was about to explode.
This woman, had she really just called him that kind of man? And said she wasn’t interested in him?
"Jasmine, we’re leaving." Mika Sumrs grabbed Jasmine’s arm and turned to go. All she wanted right now was to get as far away as possible and never see that disgusting pair again.
Watching them leave, a triumphant glint appeared in Maggie Monroe’s eyes, but her tone remained tearful and relentless. "Tristan, how could they be so awful? They left without a single word of apology. They have absolutely no respect for you."
"Enough!" Tristan Grayson snapped, his hands clenched into tight fists. "Why aren’t you resting in your room? What are you doing out here!"
"Tristan, why... why are you yelling at ?" Maggie Monroe asked anxiously, her voice trembling as tears of indignation welled in her eyes.
Tristan Grayson’s brow furrowed in frustration, and his voice turned icy. "Maggie, I ca to the hospital today to tell you sothing."
