Inside the hospital room, a woman was sobbing. "Tristan, don’t abandon , don’t leave ! I really can’t live without you."
"Maggie, don’t push this to the point where we can’t even be friends." Tristan Grayson coldly brushed Maggie’s hand away and left with Jasmine Warren.
Before Jasmine had arrived, Tristan Grayson had already made things clear to Maggie. He would not marry her, nor would he continue to take care of her as he had been.
He told her he would give her a sum of money and a house, and then arrange for a few caregivers to look after her so she could recover in peace.
But Maggie didn’t want the money, let alone the house. She even climbed onto the windowsill, threatening to kill herself. Just as Tristan Grayson was about to waver in his decision once again, Jasmine Warren ca running in.
She said that a woman had kidnapped Mika Sumrs and demanded that he get to the abandoned factory in Weslyn within an hour, otherwise both Mika and the child would die.
When he heard the news, no one could possibly understand the shock and fear that gripped Tristan Grayson’s heart. He stopped trying to talk Maggie down. Instead, his gaze turned dark and he said coldly, "If you want to jump, I won’t stop you. I’ll just pretend you never had that surgery. I’ll just pretend you died a month ago."
Maggie stared at Tristan Grayson in disbelief. "Tristan, how can you be so cruel?" ’He’s actually cursing , wishing I had died a month ago? Does Tristan really want dead? For the first ti, she felt an overwhelming fear, because she knew just how ruthless the man she loved could be...’
Tristan Grayson ignored her and turned to leave. Seeing this, Maggie ran over and grabbed his arm. "You can’t go! I won’t let you leave."
"Let go!"
And that brought them to the scene from the beginning...
As he thought about all this, Tristan Grayson’s head throbbed and he furrowed his brow. He pulled out his phone and called Ian Shaw, telling him to head to the factory and arrive within half an hour.
「The abandoned factory in Weslyn.」
Mika Sumrs was tied to a chair. She stared at the people around her with red-rimd eyes, unable to cry anymore. It was no use, no matter how much she cried. Besides, no one was coming to save her.
Gia Miller had just told her that as long as she played along nicely, they absolutely would not harm her unborn child.
’For the sake of my child, I’ll do whatever they want...’ Even though she had no idea what that was...
Gia Miller watched as the crew finished setting up the caras, a satisfied smirk on her face. She sauntered over to a balding old man, linked her arm in his, and purred, "Director Archer, aren’t we missing sothing?" As she spoke, she raised a hand and traced circles on the man’s chest.
"And what might that be?" The man, of course, knew exactly what Gia Miller ant, but he feigned ignorance, asking with a frown.
"You bad boy. You know what. Don’t you use it every ti you and I... you know?"
"You little vixen. I knew you were insatiable. Here, look. This ought to be enough for you, right? Today, I promise you’ll get more than your fill!" The man chuckled and opened a nearby case. He pointed at the drugs inside, leering at her.
Gia Miller feigned a shy pout and tapped Director Archer lightly on the chest. "You brute! All you do is tease ." Then, Gia bent down, grabbed two packets of a white powder, and walked toward Mika Sumrs.
Mika Sumrs looked at Gia Miller, then at the two packets in her hands. A wave of dread washed over her. "Wh-what are you going to do?"
"Hah... Don’t worry. I won’t hurt your child. I just want you to experience the most wonderful thing in the world."
