After Aiden Avery dropped Mika Sumrs off at ho, he found Jasmine Warren was there too.
Before anyone could react, Jasmine Warren had already dashed over. "Avery! What are you doing here?"
Watching the woman pounce toward him, Aiden Avery’s brows furrowed tightly. He subtly sidestepped, moving a small step behind Mika Sumrs.
Jasmine Warren, however, didn’t notice Aiden Avery’s movent and reached out to grab him anyway. "Avery, it’s been so long! I’ve missed you like crazy." Without another thought, she threw her arms around him in a forceful hug.
Aiden Avery’s face flushed red as he pushed Jasmine Warren away, clearly displeased. "Jasmine, show so propriety!"
Mika Sumrs, watching from the side, was completely dumbfounded. ’What’s going on with these two? Jasmine and Avery?’
"Avery, you’re so unromantic! We haven’t seen each other since I quit my job. Even if you won’t give a warm hug, you don’t have to push away." The more Jasmine Warren spoke, the more aggrieved and angry she sounded.
Aiden Avery was genuinely intimidated by Jasmine Warren. He turned to Mika Sumrs awkwardly and said, "Mika, I just rembered I have sothing to do, so I can’t stay for dinner. I’ll get going."
"Oh. Goodbye, Avery."

"Hey, Avery, where are you going? I’ll co with you!" Seeing Aiden Avery leave, Jasmine Warren scrambled to chase after him.

Mika Sumrs’ brow furrowed slightly as she looked at Jasmine Warren with a probing gaze. "Jasmine, don’t tell you and Avery have sothing going on...?"
"Hey, hey, hey! Don’t make it sound so sordid. What do you an ’have sothing going on’...?"
"I never would have thought you’d be into a guy with Avery’s personality, Jasmine."
"What’s wrong with Avery? Isn’t he great? He has a great personality, he’s a total sweetheart, plus he’s rich and handso. What’s not to love? I just like Avery, that’s all!" Jasmine Warren rolled her eyes at Mika Sumrs, a look of pure adoration on her face as she smiled.
"Ahem... ahem... You’re right, you’re right. Avery is a great guy. You and him... yeah, you’re a good match."
"That’s more like it. And I’m telling you, Mika Sumrs, don’t you dare try to steal him from ."
"? How could I?"
Jasmine Warren smirked smugly. "You’re right. You’re a mother now, so you shouldn’t be getting any ideas about Avery."
"Yes, I’m a mother now, so I definitely have no interest in Avery. You go get him! And if all else fails, just drug him, knock him out, and have your way with him!"
Hearing Mika’s plan, Jasmine Warren’s eyes lit up. "That’s a brilliant idea! Why didn’t I think of that?" ’A man with Avery’s personality would never make the first move. She had to be the one to take the offensive.’
Mika Sumrs laughed. "Because you’re dense."
"Oh yeah? You dare call dense? We’ll see about that! I’m coming for you first!" Jasmine Warren reached out to tickle Mika Sumrs. With a laughing huff, Mika scooped up Kiki and ran upstairs.

Not long after Aiden Avery left, he got a call from Lily Shaw. So, instead of returning to the hospital, he drove straight to see Tristan Grayson.
Inside the CEO’s office at LK Group, Tristan Grayson was pretending to read a docunt, but his eyes weren’t taking in a single word. His hand rested on the desk, tapping out a steady rhythm. The sound sent a chill straight to Lily Shaw’s core.
"Tristan, Aiden Avery should be here any minute." ’To avoid dying a horrible death,’ she decided it was best to give him an update.
