Seeing Silas Kent’s furious expression, Mika Sumrs ducked her head and bit down hard on Tristan Grayson’s arm. Tristan frowned, his grip loosening just enough for Mika to wrench herself free and scramble from his embrace.
Silas Kent reached out to steady Mika, then spun around and swung a fist at Tristan Grayson.
Seeing this, Mika rushed forward and grabbed his arm. "That’s enough!"
"Mika, are you taking his side already?" Silas Kent demanded, his eyes bloodshot as he whipped his head around to face her. His tone was so vicious it sent a shiver down her spine.
"I’m not taking his side! This is between him and , and I’ll handle it myself!"
Silas Kent scoffed. "And how will you handle it? By letting him hold you while you two catch up, just like you were doing?"
"Silas, that’s enough! Why are you here? Are you following again?" ’Catch up? He knows perfectly well that the only thing I feel for Tristan is hate. Pure, unadulterated hate.’

Listening to their argunt and seeing Mika fight with this man over him, Tristan Grayson’s brow furrowed. He spoke in an icy tone, "Mika, if you still want to see your son, co with ."
"Despicable!" Silas snarled, the word leaving his lips without a second thought.
"Fine." To see Kiki, Mika had to compromise. ’Besides, I need to see him to figure out how to get him back for good.’ She released Silas Kent’s arm, preparing to go with Tristan Grayson.
At this, Silas grabbed her hand. "I won’t let you go with him!"
"Silas, don’t be unreasonable."
Silas tightened his grip on her hand, his tone both domineering and irrational. "I said I won’t let you go with him! If you want to see your son, I can make it happen!"
Seeing their tightly clasped hands and hearing their conversation, a mocking smile played on Tristan Grayson’s lips. "After today, I can’t guarantee I’ll be so kind as to invite you to see your son."
"Silas, if you don’t let go, I’m going to get angry," Mika snapped, her face turning cold. She had to believe the bastard Tristan would make good on his threat.
"Mika..."
"Silas, let go of ."
Seeing how angry she was, Silas could only let go of her hand. He looked at her, his expression wounded. "I’ll wait for you to co ho. No matter how late, I’ll wait for you."
"Okay." Mika’s gaze was heavy as she nodded.
Tristan Grayson’s hands clenched into fists. He spun around, opened the car door, and sat down inside.
’Ho? He’ll wait for her to co ho? Are they living together? Or are they already married?’
Mika opened the rear car door and got in as well.
Watching the car depart, Silas spun around and viciously kicked a nearby tire.

"Tristan Grayson, I swear I’ll make it impossible for you to survive in Tridell!"

"Hello, I’m looking for Celia Osborne," Cassian Jennings said, nervously clutching a business card as he spoke to the receptionist.
"Celia Osborne? She just resigned yesterday."
Cassian’s heart skipped a beat. "Resigned?" he asked, his voice filled with unease.
"Yes, that’s right. We’re not sure of the reason. She suddenly handed in her resignation right after she got back from Tridell."
"Then do you know where she went?"
"We don’t know. I’m sorry, sir."

He dragged his exhausted body away.
Once outside the building, he looked up at the sky, a faint, bitter smile touching his lips.

He opened the car door and slumped inside, his brow furrowed and his eyes filled with pain.
The mont Tiana told him, he had driven straight here, but he was still one step too late.
She had vanished from his world all over again.
