Everyone in the car looked grim after hearing what Mika Sumrs said.
This was especially true for Archie Sumrs. He snapped his laptop shut and looked up at Mika, his face grim.
’So, my sister thinks I’m a gangster.’
’I’m this handso, how could I possibly look like a gangster? Mika’s logic is really sothing else.’
Seeing Archie Sumrs’s grim expression only made Mika Sumrs more certain of her suspicions. "Archie... if sothing happens to you, what will I do...? How could I ever face Mom and Dad...?"
Suppressing his fury, Archie Sumrs lowered his voice and said flatly, "Mika, in your eyes, is your brother just so gangster?"
"—" ’Well, isn’t he? If he weren’t a gangster, how would he know people like this?’ But even though Mika Sumrs thought it, she didn’t dare say it out loud, afraid of making him angry. "Um... Archie, that’s not what I ant..."
Even without asking, Archie Sumrs could guess why Mika would think that.
He hadn’t returned to the country in over a decade. Then he suddenly shows up, unannounced, and is now so kind of "boss." It was only natural that Mika couldn’t accept it.
Originally, his plan had been to hide this from Mika. He would wait until he had arranged for her and their parents to move abroad, then slowly explain everything once they were safely overseas. That way, they wouldn’t be frightened.
But clearly, word of his return had leaked before he even arrived. Their parents had disappeared, and he’d had no choice but to have his people show up to protect Mika.
At this thought, he sighed. "Mika, I have so business to attend to. Louise Jordan will stay with you for the next few days."
"Archie, where are you going...?" She subconsciously grabbed Archie Sumrs’s arm.
"Mika, I’ve been abroad all these years and rarely had ti to co back to see Mom and Dad. This ti, I think it’s ti to bring them to live with overseas."
"You’re going to get Mom and Dad?"
He smiled and nodded. "Not just Mom and Dad. You, too. Our whole family is going to live together from now on." ’My sister’s grown into such a stunning woman. I’ll definitely have to keep a close eye on her from now on. What happened last night can absolutely never be allowed to happen again.’
Mika Sumrs was about to say sothing, but just then the car pulled over to the side of the road. The man in the driver’s seat quickly got out, walked around to her brother’s side, and bent down to open the door.
Archie Sumrs reached out and ruffled her hair, then grabbed his laptop and got out of the car.
For a long mont, she couldn’t snap out of it and process what her brother had just said.
’Bring us overseas to live with him??’
’Did Archie co back this ti just to take their whole family away?’

After getting out of the car, Archie Sumrs rounded a corner and climbed into the black Hyundai that had been following them.
He got into the car, leaned back against the seat with his eyes closed, and said nothing.
The man in the passenger seat, Howard Rhodes, glanced back cautiously. "Boss?"
"What did you find? Out with it," Archie Sumrs said coldly, his eyes still closed.
"Boss, about the man who was with Miss Sumrs... they aren’t actually roommates."
At that, Archie Sumrs’s eyes snapped open, a dark glint flashing within them. "I know," he answered, his voice low. ’He’d long suspected that a man that dangerous wouldn’t be renting a room sowhere.’
’In that case, he and Mika must be dating.’
Howard Rhodes clutched the docunts in his hand, squeezed his eyes shut, and steeled himself. "They aren’t boyfriend and girlfriend, either."
’They aren’t dating either????’ Archie Sumrs’s eyes were bloodshot. "Stop stringing along and spit it out! Who the hell is he, and what does he want with Mika!"
