The Lockwood residence.
Archie Lockwood had just stepped into the house when Jason Lockwood arrived right behind him.
Archie Lockwood clenched his fists, shot Jason Lockwood a venomous glare, and then led Howard Rhodes and the others toward the study.
Once they reached the study, Howard Rhodes and Louise Jordan stood guard at the door, preventing anyone from entering.
Jason Lockwood sat in the living room with a cigarette pinched between his fingers. His expression was cold and grim as he took one slow drag after another.
Just then, Yuna Sullivan ca downstairs. When she saw her son in the living room, her face turned deathly pale. She walked over to Jason Lockwood anxiously, sat down close beside him, and whispered, "I just saw Uncle Fu co back. I don’t know what he said to your father, but he looks terrible. Jason, do you think your father knows everything?"
"Hah. What are you so afraid of? There’s no proof," Jason Lockwood sneered, tossing his cigarette butt into the ashtray on the table.
But Yuna Sullivan was nowhere near as calm as her son. The thought of the look the old man had given her every ti he saw her these past few months was enough to make her break out in a cold sweat. "Jason, I just can’t shake this feeling of dread. You have no idea... Last night, I brought the dicinal soup to your father, but he wouldn’t drink it. I only tried to coax him a little, and he actually threw out."
Hearing Yuna Sullivan’s words, Jason Lockwood’s expression faltered for a mont, and a vicious glint appeared in his eyes. "If he wouldn’t drink it, why didn’t you find a way to make him?"
"I used to be able to coax him, but I don’t know what’s gotten into him lately. The old man’s temper is getting worse and worse. He scolds if I say more than a couple of words."
"For now, stop giving him the dicinal soup. After a while, I’ll find a traditional Chinese dicine practitioner to prepare so new formulas."
"Sigh..." Yuna Sullivan let out a breath, her eyes filled with worry and fear.
Seeing Yuna Sullivan sighing like that, Jason Lockwood frowned in displeasure. In a low voice, he said, "Mom, you need to think clearly about our situation. How much effort have we put into the Lockwood Family, and how have they treated us in the end?"

Julius Lockwood’s face was wracked with pain as he said in a heavy voice, "I’ve wronged you and your mother."

Archie Lockwood clenched his fists, suppressing the urge to lunge forward and strike the man before him. "Yes, you wronged my mother and ," he said viciously. "But the one you wronged most of all was my mother."
Julius Lockwood stood up, his hand clutching his cane trembling violently. "Archie, rest assured, I won’t let them get away with this."
