Watching Eleanor Bishop rise to leave, Jason Lockwood’s eyes darkened. "Stop!" he commanded coldly.
At the sound of his voice, Eleanor Bishop shuddered, her grip on her handbag tightening.
Jason Lockwood’s lips curled into a sneer. "Eleanor Bishop," he said coldly, "are you trying to defy my orders?"
Eleanor Bishop looked up, her eyes red, and shouted in a panic, "Jason Lockwood, I’ve already told you! I have no contact with Archie. I can’t help you."
"Is that so? Eleanor Bishop, you can’t possibly think that all the effort I’ve invested in you over the last two years was for nothing, can you?"
"Jason Lockwood, what on earth do you want?" Eleanor Bishop, on the verge of a breakdown, slamd her handbag onto the table.
Jason Lockwood paid no mind to Eleanor Bishop’s attitude. He said coldly, "I’ve already told you. Tonight, I don’t want Archie Lockwood going back to the Lockwood family ho."
"If you don’t want him back at the Lockwood residence, then go find him yourself! Why are you coming to ? What could I possibly do to help?" Eleanor Bishop felt like she was going crazy.
"Eleanor Bishop, are you still going to play dumb with ?" ’Does she really think I don’t know she’s already t with Archie Lockwood?’
A deep sense of unease grew in Eleanor Bishop at Jason Lockwood’s words. She struggled to keep her composure. "I don’t know what you an! Jason Lockwood! I won’t let you manipulate anymore! If you want to use to get to Archie, you can just forget about it!"
"Eleanor Bishop, are you really turning your back on your benefactor? Have you forgotten who has been supporting you these past two years?" Jason Lockwood wasn’t surprised by her attitude; on the contrary, he said with a mocking smile.
"Yes, you’ve been helping us for the past two years. But Jason Lockwood, that’s the very least you could do! If it weren’t for the despicable things you did to the Bishop Family, would we be in this situation? Jason Lockwood, do you actually expect to thank you for it?"
"And you shouldn’t be? Eleanor Bishop, don’t you forget what’s hanging over your father’s head! If you don’t do as I say, all it takes is one phone call, and I guarantee your father will be taken away..." As he spoke, Jason Lockwood toyed with his phone, the smile on his face growing increasingly sinister.
Eleanor Bishop knew perfectly well what kind of person Jason Lockwood was.
Ruthless, cruel, and stopping at nothing to achieve his goals. She had witnessed it far too many tis over the years...
’What should I do? Do I really have to betray Archie again, just like I did before?’
"Eleanor Bishop, I don’t think you’d want to see your father get into trouble again..."
Eleanor Bishop fought back tears, clenching her fists, and remained silent.
’That’s right. I can’t bear to see my father get into trouble again. He’s so old now; how could he possibly endure another incident?’

Jason Lockwood’s lips curved into another smile. "So, Eleanor Bishop, have you made up your mind?"
"Fine. I agree," Eleanor Bishop said coldly, steeling her heart. "I’ll ask Archie to et tonight. But I can’t guarantee a ti. You know that Archie has always despised . It won’t be easy to get him to see at all."
"Heh. As long as you get him to co out, you don’t need to worry about anything else." Jason Lockwood had easily seen through Eleanor Bishop’s little ploy. A vicious glint flashed in his eyes as he replied with a smile.
