She looked around, hoping to find Tristan.
But in the entire hall, aside from a boisterous crowd, there was no sign of Tristan.
At that thought, she gave a self-deprecating smile and headed for the entrance.
If Tristan didn’t want her to find him, then she wouldn’t. She had been so foolish.
Ordinarily, her black tracksuit and plain ponytail wouldn’t have attracted much attention in a bar like this.
But from the mont she walked in, she’d acted so out of place. That, combined with how she was craning her neck searching for soone, had drawn the attention of many single young n.
Now, seeing that she was about to leave right after arriving,
three n moved to block her path. One of them, a handso man with a sunny disposition, spoke up first to chat her up. "Hey, young lady, you look like you’re still a student. What’s up? First ti in a place like this?"
"—" Mika Sumrs froze for a second at being called "young lady."
She then glanced at the other won in the bar. Every single one of them was caked in heavy makeup and dressed in revealing clothes. A woman like her—bare-faced, in a simple tracksuit and a ponytail—really was the only one of her kind here.
’No wonder the man had mistaken her for a schoolgirl.’
She wasn’t frightened, though. She could tell these n didn’t an any real harm.
So, she simply gave them a smile and tried to walk around them to leave.
A place like this was so suffocating she could barely breathe.
But she had barely taken a step when a voice piped up from behind. "Dude, that girl just smiled at you! You think she’s into you?"
"Don’t be an idiot. Can’t you see she was trying to get away from us?"
Despite his words, the smile never left his face. He took two or three quick strides to get in front of Mika Sumrs again, blocking her path. "My na is Chase Sinclair. How about it, young lady? Care to make a new friend?"
Just as she was about to refuse, a deep, displeased voice sounded from behind her.
"She’s not interested."
At the sound of the voice, the smile on the man nad Chase Sinclair’s face instantly froze. He turned to look, and when he saw who was behind him, his expression soured.
Mika Sumrs’s face darkened as well. Her heart trembled, terrified that Tristan would see what just happened and mistake her for so easy woman.
"Young Master Grayson, long ti no see!"
"That’s right, Young Master Grayson! What a coincidence. What brings you here?" The two n who had co with Chase Sinclair chid in, fawning over Tristan Grayson the mont they saw him.
Tristan Grayson ignored their greetings, his gaze remaining locked on Mika Sumrs and Chase Sinclair.
The two n, sensing the tense atmosphere, rushed forward and grabbed Chase Sinclair by the arms, trying to pull him away. "Chase, let’s go, co on! Can’t you see she’s with Young Master Grayson?"
Chase Sinclair shook their hands off, pulled a business card from his pocket, and, still wearing that sa smile, said to Mika Sumrs, "I’m Chase Sinclair. This is my card. If you ever need any help, feel free to give a call."
Mika Sumrs stared at the business card, unsure whether she should accept it.
Chase Sinclair seed to have anticipated her hesitation. Instead of pulling the card back, he pressed it into her hand. "Rember the na. It’s Chase Sinclair!"
With that, he flashed her another warm smile before finally leaving with his two friends.
