Just then, her phone suddenly rang. Seeing the na on the screen, Mika Sumrs shot up in fright. "Hello?"
"Get out here right now!" Tristan Grayson himself didn’t know why he’d called her, but now that he had, he couldn’t just hang up. So, without a second thought, he barked out the order.
"Right now?"
"I’m giving you one minute. You have to be out here, or you’ll face the consequences!" With that, Tristan Grayson hung up.
Mika Sumrs stared blankly at her phone.
’He wants to go out now?’ Mika Sumrs instantly panicked. ’Could he be here?’
At that thought, Mika Sumrs threw off the covers, clutched her phone, and ran out, forgetting to even put on her shoes.
The mont she ran out of her room, she felt the cold floor beneath her bare feet. She realized she wasn’t wearing any shoes, but it was too late to go back for them.
Tristan Grayson had only given her one minute.
She looked at the two large wolfhounds by the gate, and the burst of courage she’d just mustered completely vanished.
She didn’t even have the courage to walk past them, let alone run.
Just as she stood there, torn with indecision and anguish, she saw a car pull up to the Sumrs Family’s gate.
She knew that car all too well; it was the one Tristan Grayson always drove.
She mustered her courage and started toward the gate, but before she even got close to the two wolfhounds, her legs went weak.
She found herself unable to take another step. Tristan Grayson got out of the car and glared at her in displeasure. "What are you waiting for? Get over here!"
"I... I’m... I’m scared..." Mika Sumrs stamred, her body trembling and her eyes welling with tears.
Hearing this, Tristan Grayson frowned in confusion. "Scared of what?"
"Of them!" Mika Sumrs pointed a trembling finger at the two wolfhounds in the distance.
Tristan Grayson was rendered speechless. "If you’re so scared of them, why did you co here in the first place?" As he spoke, he was already striding toward Mika Sumrs.
"I... I... AHH..." ’It wasn’t my idea to co here, my brother brought !’ But before she could get the words out, the sound of barking nearly scared her out of her wits.
"WOOF WOOF... WOOF..."
As Tristan Grayson passed the two wolfhounds, they both shot to their feet and began barking furiously at him.
Tristan Grayson’s handso face darkened. He quickened his pace to Mika Sumrs’s side, bent down, and swept her into his arms. "Stop screaming. If you make another sound, I’ll throw you to the dogs!"
"Don’t!" At his words, a terrified Mika Sumrs clung to Tristan Grayson for dear life, afraid he would actually throw her to them.
Tristan Grayson looked down at the woman in his arms, an indescribable feeling welling up inside him. He had been furious, but now, his anger seed to have subsided.
At that mont, Howard Rhodes, Louise Jordan, and three other people rushed out from the villa.
Tristan Grayson glanced at them and curled his lip in disdain. "Please inform Mr. Sumrs that I, Tristan Grayson, am taking my wife with . No one can stop !" With that, he carried Mika Sumrs to his car.
He placed Mika Sumrs in the passenger seat, got into the driver’s seat, and drove off.
Archie Sumrs, who had just co out, witnessed the entire scene. He spun around and kicked Howard Rhodes. "You useless piece of trash! You couldn’t even keep an eye on one person!"
"Boss, it’s my fault. I’m the one who didn’t watch Miss Sumrs properly. This has nothing to do with Howard," Louise Jordan quickly interjected, guilt-ridden.
"Forget it. If she wants to leave, no one can stop her." ’What’s the use of blaming others? In the end, it’s all because my own sister is such a disappointnt.’
