Where am I supposed to find a gym in the middle of the night?

Jiang Nian stood at the long street in front of the school gate, under the dim streetlights, and opened the map on his phone. Gyms with any ambition usually update on the map.

Hmm, Sunshine Fitness Studio?

Such a trendy na, and it's closed... What a beaver!

None within three kiloters, how about five?

Searching and searching, Jiang Nian actually found one. It's called Wisno Fitness, 4.2 kiloters from Zhennan County High School, definitely more than five kiloters away once you click in.

He reached into his pocket and realized he didn't have the electric bike key, so he directly scanned for a shared bike and rode off, considering it leg training.

Twenty minutes later.

Outside a lit two-story gym building, Jiang Nian parked with a cold smile like a boss. Even with just seven thousand bucks, a boss is still a boss; don't dismiss tofu as if it's not real food.

This damn shared bike had no brakes, found out when I rode into a ditch.

The roads in small towns are really bumpy, there's nothing worth seeing five kiloters out.

He wiped the blood off his elbow, not too serious, just a bit of swelling. The squeaky little bike made more noise hitting the ditch than he did.

He glanced down at the stains on his clothes; couldn't worry about it now.

Entering the gym, there was a reception desk ahead, with a woman in her twenties standing there. She glanced at Jiang Nian, still wearing Zhennan County High's uniform, all dirty.

She only gave him a glance, didn't say anything first. It's almost her off ti, and here cos a local high school kid with no adults around. Why care? Can it really earn money?

This is the laid-back vibe of a small town, judge people by their appearances.

Jiang Nian couldn't be bothered with her either and saw in the lounge area a beautiful, mature woman in pink yoga pants. Wearing a financially well-off white vest, looking like a fitness instructor.

Might as well head straight over to her, anyway, whoever sells the mbership, it's sold.

The receptionist turned her head at the movent and did nothing, but raised her voice.

"Without a mbership card, you can't enter."

Jiang Nian, who had just taken a fall, ca here to give the gym so cash. He's buying a mbership and classes just to get through so tasks, definitely not to attend any courses.

Hearing her tone made him unhappy.

"Aren't I here just to get a mbership?"

Hearing this, the mature woman in pink yoga pants suddenly stood up, and Jiang Nian gave her a look. She just glanced at him, indifferently walked away.

For ****'s sake, what a trashy gym.

Jiang Nian turned to leave, thinking if you want an ascetic lifestyle, might as well open a temple.

But when he took out his phone, it was already close to nine p.m.

Usually, at this hour, even if there are gyms, they're closed. Damn it, just didn't want to waste ti, so skipped the night class to co out. If it was all for nothing, he'd explode.

"Um... excuse ....." a timid voice sounded, "Handso, are you here for a mbership?"

Jiang Nian turned to see a new fitness instructor appear in the lounge. Wearing a conservative gray yoga outfit, her figure was decent, not as good as the peach yoga pants just now.

Tut, foolish lady, how would that attract trainees?

There are not many people in the county who work out, maybe more in city gyms are serious about fitness. In small towns, unless it's a necessity, it usually skirts the edge.

But, it's decided, it'll be you!

"Yes, it's ." Jiang Nian replied calmly, "I don't have much ti, can we talk inside?"

"Sure, we can..... but..." the modest-looking coach spoke, appearing a bit troubled, "Handso, co here, let tell you."

Just then, the receptionist dragged out her voice again.

"No card, no entry!"

"Damn it, I'm here to get a card!" Jiang Nian lost it, turned back, "Don't you understand human speech, you * stupid b****?"

"How can a student be so rude!" the receptionist couldn't stand it, stood up, and said.

"What if I am rude, I'll call your boss right now!" Jiang Nian snapped, after all, young people have so temper, "You don't want to earn money, damn you!"

"Do you need proof of funds, you *****! Here, let show you if your daddy has the money, enough to get a card at your trashy gym!"

"You... what's your na!"

"Your daddy Zhao Feipeng, screw you, looking for people, isn't it!" Jiang Nian switched to dialect, "My uncle is in the anti-mafia unit, want to try calling people?"

Jiang Nian wasn't bluffing, his mom worked at a unit, his uncle in the public security bureau. Although he's not sure about the exact position, he heard it's sowhat related to anti-mafia.

Le Zhi's dad was also in the public security bureau, in the sa system as Jiang Nian's uncle, so the two were on good terms.

But normally, Jiang Nian didn't want to ntion this connection, his uncle barely smiled, and they weren't too close. If he actually called his uncle over, that would be too embarrassing.

After Jiang Nian switched to dialect, the receptionist beca docile.

"Originally no card no entry, aren't you at fault too?" she muttered.

The receptionist is like that; after looking down on others, it's everyone else's fault. She'll complain to her punk boyfriend when feeling wronged, and when she knows she's ssed with the wrong person, she activates the percentage responsibility defense.

"Damn it....." Jiang Nian was furious.

Damn it, ca out to spend money and bumped into an idiot.

In the lounge, the modest woman had co out. She had a small pouch, placing a card and folder on the reception, spoke softly.

"Wenwen, my resignation is done, everything is here."

The female receptionist remained silent, still sitting there with a face as sour as if her mother had passed. Jiang Nian saw this and wanted to curse more, clapped his hands to unleash his anger.

"Handso." The modest woman held Jiang Nian, with a gentle smile on her face, "Sorry, can you co out with a bit? I..... you're here for the mbership, right?"

He originally wanted to break free, but hearing about the mbership, he stopped.

"Aren't you resigned?"

The modest woman looked embarrassed, leaned in closely to Jiang Nian, and whispered.

"I joined a new..... gym."

Oh, the seamless transition.

Outside the gym, the woman looked apologetic.

"I'm sorry, young handso, maybe Wenwen is in a bad mood today. Don't take it to heart, I'll apologize on her behalf, what do you think?"

"Aren't you resigned, why apologize for her?" Jiang Nian squinted.

"I'm sorry."

"Can you say sothing besides sorry?"

"Young handso, I'm sorry."

Jiang Nian rubbed his head, "You... whatever, if you love to apologize, go ahead then."

Hearing that, Zhao Qiuxue looked a bit awkward, originally wanting to apologize to ease his anger. Then she'd ask if the young handso wanted a mbership, as she had already joined a new gym.

But now it seems unlikely.

Indeed, if it were she treated like that, she'd be angry too. Youngsters care about face, better not ntion the mbership, to avoid annoying him.

It's a pity though, changing jobs wasn't the most honorable act, and if she had no achievents in a month, the new job might not last.

As she was feeling down about this, Jiang Nian got impatient.

"Wasn't it about getting a mbership?"
