"At 1:55, right."

"Okay." Chen Yunyun nodded.

After unlocking her phone, a faint glow fell on her face. Her eyes, like black jade, reflected the phone’s alarm clock interface, with three alarms set.

13:54.

13:55.

13:56.

A series of alarms gently waking the sleeping soul.

Chen Yunyun lay on the table, her eyelashes fluttering, yet she couldn’t fall asleep despite her efforts.

She opened her eyes, curious if Jiang Nian had fallen asleep. Slowly, she sat up straight and carefully stood up.

She made no sound during the process, nor did she wake Wang Yuhe beside her.

So, the next step was to move her feet. She planned to sneak over to see if Jiang Nian was asleep, but the plan got stuck at step one.

Too much like a fangirl, what kind of plot is this?

Chen Yunyun patted her slightly red cheeks, starting to realize that the environnt had affected her rationality.

The attic was too dark, just the three of them.

And from what Chen Yunyun knew about Wang Yuhe, she fell asleep quickly and didn’t wake easily. Rounding up, it was basically just the two of them in a dim environnt.

It felt a bit too ambiguous, which led to so irrational thoughts.

She took a deep breath, letting go of that ridiculous idea. But just as she was about to sit down, another thought suddenly popped into her head.

So... what if I find a good reason?

Sneak a peek, and if caught, just say the phone ran out of battery and ask him to set the alarm.

With this in mind, Chen Yunyun moved her feet. She convinced herself she was drunk, it was just a peek, and she’d leave right after.

But as soon as she moved closer, Jiang Nian sat up directly from the short sofa, catching Chen Yunyun off guard.

"What’s up?" he asked curiously.

"No... my phone..." Chen Yunyun stumbled over her words.

"Broken? Let see." Jiang Nian reached for her phone, "Master Jiang, professional phone repair for thirty years, fooling both young and old alike."

"No..." Chen Yunyun retracted her hand, taking a step back and sat down imdiately on the sofa chair to the right.

The scene quieted montarily.

Jiang Nian, though puzzled, respected her privacy.

"Can’t sleep?"

"Yeah."

"Then just nap during the language class, who cares when Lao Liu is our horoom teacher." Jiang Nian said without an ounce of guilt, "Teaching us is the blessing of his life."

Though the situation wasn’t quite as she envisioned, going with the flow wasn’t so bad.

In the dim, obscure corner, Chen Yunyun and Jiang Nian chatted in hushed voices across the narrow aisle.

Their soft, fragnted voices carried across the second floor.

Chen Yunyun’s eyes sparkled, her cheeks flushed. Even separated by the aisle, just chatting felt quite nice.

Before she knew it, her eyelids began to droop, and she dozed off.

Until the phone alarm rang.

Chen Yunyun jolted awake, her heart pounding as she instinctively groped for her phone. A graceful hand reached over the table and turned off the alarm.

She looked up, and Jiang Nian was already standing in the aisle.

"Didn’t you sleep?"

"I played on my phone, won’t be sleepy in the afternoon." Jiang Nian replied.

In fact, he planned to doze off during the language class, then unlock the daily achievent.

"Oh, I’ll wake Yuhe."

She didn’t rember how she fell asleep, probably just dozed off while chatting, for about twenty minutes.

Bit embarrassed, won’t do such things again.

Downstairs, the street was filled with students.

The sun was shining just right, and the evergreen trees remained lush.

The three of them descended from the attic, naturally blending into the crowd. Many freshman boys glanced at Chen Yunyun and Wang Yuhe, then towards Jiang Nian.

A combination of a couple and a best friend was quite common in a school like Zhen Nan, where school spirit was near zero.

But it seed this couple preferred to avoid suspicion.

.....

After nap ti, the classroom buzzed with activity.

Zeng You groggily entered the classroom, he and Wu Jungu had tried to sneak in through the small gate next to the West Gate.

But failed.

So they found a shady spot nearby for a nap.

Even though he was incredibly drowsy, he insisted on doing one thing. To verify if the hallucination was real, to set his mind at ease.

Zeng You went up to the table of Yang Qiming and his companion, first asking Yang Qiming.

"Hey, gotta ask you sothing."

"What is it?" Yang Qiming looked up, visibly tired.

After parting ways with Jiang Nian’s group, they planned to climb over the North Gate to get into the school. Oddly enough, they ran into two security guards peeing on that abandoned inner wall,

They practically scaled the wall right in front of them, getting caught on the spot.

Luckily, they used the [Substitution Technique].

Hopefully, there are no "Zhang Da" and "Wang Pao" in the Olympic Competition Class 4, otherwise... peace out, brothers.

Zeng You coughed, taking a mont to ask.

"Did you go to a wedding at the Chuyun Hotel at noon? The one for soone nad Chen Haisheng? I forgot the bride’s na, Zhang sothing Li."

Hearing this, Yang Qiming’s heart skipped a beat.

Damn, could Zeng You be a relative of the family? Just to get so... No, just a partial al and a bit of good fortune, he wouldn’t dig for answers, right?

Bro.

"Uh... Chuyun Hotel?" Yang Qiming scratched his head, "Never been, why do you ask out of the blue?"

Zeng You’s face changed dramatically, feeling dood.

"Nothing."

With that, he wandered off, dazed and confused.

Sun Zhicheng, wearing a hood, brushed past Zeng You, startled by his ashen face.

Is this a case of soone coming back from the grave?

Or waiting to be cremated?

"Ah Cheng, why are you wearing a hat when it’s so hot?" Lin Dong entered from the back door of the classroom, his face still damp, asking from a distance.

Sun Zhicheng was at a loss for words.

Dude, all my hair’s been shaved off along with that b’s apprentice, what’s there to be hot about?

So, he muttered.

"I’m not hot."

When Jiang Nian was getting back to his seat, he noticed Zhang Ningzhi had arrived earlier, napping on the desk, so he quietly slipped into his seat.

A mont later, Li Hua arrived.

Looking quite lively, he sat down and started shaking his leg.

"Hey Nian, gotta tell you sothing cool."

"What’s that?"

Li Hua raised an eyebrow, "I ran into a couple arguing at the school gate."

"Then what?"

"That girl pointed at and said anyone she picks is better than her boyfriend." Li Hua wiggled his eyebrows, "Made my day, but the girl wasn’t anything special."

"Not good-looking?" Jiang Nian asked, feeling a bit sleepy now.

"Not exactly, but once you’ve seen towering mountains, how can you settle for plains?" Li Hua shook his head, voice low, "I told her to stop dreaming."

Zhang Ningzhi was woken up by the noise in the classroom, groggily got up.

She rubbed her eyes, looked over at Jiang Nian.

"When did you get here?"

"Not long ago, why are you here so early today? That’s rare." Jiang Nian pulled out a language review book from his desk, planning to nap after a while.

Hearing this, Zhang Ningzhi felt a bit defiant.

"Nonsense, sotis I co really early too."

She was unwilling to admit since the big exam last month she’d been "relaxing." Coming earlier was tiring, better to follow the crowd, arriving on ti felt much more relaxed.

Because sleeping from noon till waking required a buffer period.

If she ca early, the buffer ti would be extended, directly affecting... sleep ti reduction.

After the bell rang, Lao Liu walked into the classroom with his teaching guidebook, glanced around, and said with full breath.

"Alright, now let’s—start class!"

Zeng You glanced at the horoom teacher on the podium, without a hint of embarrassnt. Not even the clothes were the sa set he saw at noon, his heart turned to ashes.

The mont he sat down, he turned to Wu Jungu and said.

"Are you sure you don’t want to inherit my two power banks?"

Wu Jungu: "...."

Zhang Ningzhi mouthed "Thank you, teacher," was ready to sit down, when a note rolled over with a slight bump.
