After finishing the al, Xu Qianqian asked while walking down the street.
"Where to?"
"How about climbing the mountain?" Song Xiyun suggested.
Upon hearing this, Xu Qianqian’s expression changed, and she refused.
"No way, what’s there to climb about that little hill."
"Qianqian, why are you so nervous?" Song Xiyun was a bit puzzled, instinctively feeling there was a story, "Could it be, that mountain has..."

"Weren’t we going mountain climbing?" Chen Yunyun was stunned.
"The mineral water up there is expensive, and the road is really boring." Jiang Nian stood up and led the two girls out, reminding them to mind their steps as they walked.
Wang Yuhe had a sudden idea, asking.
"Is there a bathroom on the mountain?"
Jiang Nian thought for a mont, then answered.
"The world is vast, with great opportunities."
"What do you an?"
"Find a bush and squat down, and I’ll just reluctantly stand guard for you."
Upon hearing this, both girls’ faces turned pale.
Entering the snack shop, they purposely only bought one bottle of water. As well as so snacks that wouldn’t upset the stomach, along with a little bit of candy and cookies.
After leaving the snack shop, both girls were stunned.
"How do we get there?"
"Let’s wait for the bus; walking is tiring and slow." Jiang Nian glanced at the bus stop opposite, pointed, "Let’s go over there first and talk."
The bus cos every twenty minutes.
The three of them were lucky, having to wait only seven or eight minutes at the bus stop before the bus arrived. The bus was fairly crowded, so the three could only sit in the back row.

Jiang Nian chuckled, "For what I know, a body floats down from upstream to downstream in about three days. As long as you go in the water, you can cross the river."
Chen Yunyun sat in the middle, her leg barely five centiters away from Jiang Nian.
"Going into the water is dangerous, right?"
Wang Yuhe puffed out her cheeks, grumbling.
"I don’t think it’s dangerous."
"There’s still so danger; what if you et a water ghost?" Jiang Nian said mockingly, "My great-grandfather swam across Nanjiang."
"He got in the water at noon, and when he was halfway across, he got exhausted. He could only float on the water to rest, but suddenly he felt sothing pulling his leg under the water."

Jiang Nian lowered his voice and spoke vividly.

"He made a dive underwater, and guess what... what did he see?"
"What?" Wang Yuhe held her breath.
"He saw a person! There was a person underwater grabbing his leg." Jiang Nian’s voice beca urgent too, "That person! That person spoke!"
"She said... I’m Wang Yuhe, floating down from upstream."
Upon hearing this, Wang Yuhe was dumbfounded.
Then she flew into a rage!
"Go to hell! Go to hell! Don’t let see you underwater, or I’ll catch you every ti I do."
"You’ve already turned into the water ghost, huh?" Jiang Nian laughed.
He was unfazed by Wang Yuhe’s anger, as there was Chen Yunyun between them, preventing her from hitting him.
Chen Yunyun was a bit speechless; she was a bit nervous at first too, but halfway through, she realized sothing was off. It felt like a made-up story.
Stuck between the two, she was treated like a human barrier.
One side was "I’ll beat you to death," while the other was "you can’t hit , na-na-na." Making her head spin, feeling like a kindergarten teacher.
"Stop it, we should be almost there, right?" Chen Yunyun shifted the conversation.
Jiang Nian glanced out the window, nodding.
"Definitely."
Then, he seed to rember sothing, suddenly slapping his thigh.
"Oh no, I forgot to bring an umbrella!"
Chen Yunyun rubbed her own thigh, asking quietly.
"Why did you slap my leg?"
"Sorry, our legs were too close." Jiang Nian apologized, patted her twice, then continued the topic, "If it rains, we’ll be in trouble."
"It won’t. I checked the weather yesterday, it’s supposed to be sunny..." Chen Yunyun paused halfway through, seeing dark clouds floating in the distance.
Chen Yunyun: "....."
The bus stopped at the foot of the mountain, and the trio of Jiang Nian got off.
Wang Yuhe looked around, noticing that the mountains around were covered with barren trees. Looking up, she could see a few buildings with whitewashed walls in the distance.
A yellow dirt road stretched far into the mountains.
At the foot of the mountain stood a dilapidated large umbrella, advertising iced tea drinks.

"This mountain is so short, we should reach the peak quickly, right?"
Upon hearing this, Jiang Nian stopped in his tracks.
"If you take the main road, it’s not too difficult. But since you said that, I know a small path that cuts through Qingmu Ridge."
Chen Yunyun was taken aback, turning to Jiang Nian.
"A small path?"

Sun Zhicheng took a look at the entrance ahead, couldn’t help but swallow, and quietly pulled Lin Dong in the team behind him, whispering.
"Brother Dong, the small path isn’t easy to walk."
